My last review here was over three years ago so here's an update: The best French pastries by a mile. We come here at least once a week and it's worth the 15 mile drive - rain snow or shine. What to get: My favorites are the morning buns and the queens. The owner also makes galettes which are amazing. Can't go wrong with the chocolate or almond croissants. Our kids switch it up between that and the baguettes. The parfaits are very popular as she makes her own granola for it. Saturday and Sundays they sell out fast. Sometimes 10 Minutes after opening so get there early. Weekdays are easier to get pastries. I love love love their black coffee. It's smooth and gives me a great buzz and puts me in a happy mood :) the lattes are great. The owners are absolute gems. They are sweet, serious about their food, and if you catch them when they aren't busy - great company. read more

This is the new local family owned bakery in the town of Waterville. I finally got to check it out a few weeks ago, but by the time I got there their selection of baked goods was limited (all baked goods are made fresh every morning, and the owner said they are pretty much sold out before noon everyday day- the earlier you visit the better!) My friend and I tried the lemon macaroon because that was literally the only thing left lol. I'm not a huge fan of lemon but it was decent. My friend, on the other hand, LOVES lemon, and she loved the macaroon. The owners are super nice here and the bakery is so clean & comfortable. They have seating inside and outside. They also serve a variety of coffee & tea. Definitely worth checking out if you're ever scrolling through Waterville. I will be back soon! Support local businesses!!!!! read more

I never dreamed I'd find anything like this in Waterville. I moved from NYC and had been struggling to find my go to pastry and coffee. I now drive a full 15 mins every weekend to grab coffee and pastries for the kids. Be sure to come early as they are almost always sold out an hour or two into the weekend. These folks got their start at the Clinton Farmers Market. They don't go since they opened a brick and mortar store in downtown Waterville. They have a wonderful selection of breads and pastries, and the chocolate croissant is the best around. They live up to their motto "Small Batches, High Standards" and sell out early and quickly. Get there right when they open if you want options, although everything is good. Cash only. read more

SO GOOD!! Who doesn't love a French bakery?! And to think right here in little old Waterville, NY. I love it because it is right in town within walking distance. They have some of my favorites which are the morning buns and the chocolate filled croissants. They also service coffee, espresso, matcha tea, bubble tea, etc. they have a few seats in there but it is small. There is also limited seating outside on the street if you want to watch the hustle and bustle. The owners are very nice and they love when we bring our dog, Slush, the husky. They do run out of product though if you don't get there in time so the earlier the better! read more

SO GOOD! Even my friends from Europe rave about Martine's pastries. The only downside is that they sometimes sell out before you can get what you want. She used the sell at our local farmer's market, and people would line up at her staff before she even arrived... despite the fact that there are at least other places selling baked goods at the same market. Not really sure how they have so many 5 star reviews. Walked in at 11 am on Sunday. They had nothing in the display. Was told they had nothing but some cream puffs in a refrigerator. So we stood there trying to decide what to do. We ended up leaving and driving to Hamilton. I did not experience any service, let alone "friendly service." It was also puzzling as to why they were going to be open until 1 pm. If you're open for business, why would you not be working? Making product for customers to buy? Greeting them? An unexpected find in Waterville. Incredible morning sweet (and occasionally) savory treats freshly out of the oven. Delicately prepared, this family run operation (even the young daughter helps out!) is worth the trip. At least on this Sunday morning, Martine whips up the delicacies in the kitchen, viewed through a long rectangular window while Jack runs the register and the coffee bar. This bakery is fabulous. Each pastry is a treat and the quality never varies. Although the location is new, the owners have a proven track record having sold their products at the Farmer's market on the Village Green in Hamilton, New York for several years. The setting is welcoming as are the owners. Best to get there early as their past and new customers like myself are passionate about the delicious scones, croissants and almond pastries, to name a few.
