He was very reasonable, showed up when he promised he would, and is quick with quotes, and communicating. The first project was leveling and securing my cement front steps. He did quality work. Then he installed cabinets and a new sink in my first and second floor kitchens. Once again excellent quality work. I scheduled additional cabinets installation, and some repairs of a door between rooms that came off track. He did electrical, plumbing, and cement work for me. All done very well and looked wonderful upon completion. Any hurdles that occurred he was able to provide a solution. I give Mohawk Valley Handyman Services the highest possible praise! You can be sure your project will be done with awesome results!

That would make it false advertising. * end of update I'm not pleased with their handling of my project. The website shows pictures of a fence install. I contacted them to set up a quote and received two text messages. First to contact them to dis uss and then today telling me they don't handle fence installs. WTH?!?! They instead referred me to someone else. I'm not pleased that this was handled this way. I doubt very much that I'll ever use them given they can't even handle normal business communication properly.

I texted the videos, and then heard ... nothing. I called the next day, and he picked up, but then hung up immediately. I called back and the conversation went something like: ME: "Hello, I sent you the videos yesterday and I..." HIM: "I got 'em." ME: "Sooooo..... is this something you can fix?" HIM: "Yeah, I'll give you a call." That was month and a half ago. I found a different and more responsive contractor to solve my problem.

I needed two large gable windows installed in my attic. Before the scheduled quote I explained that my contractor would create the frame and another company was making the windows. We needed their installation services because, as you can imagine, a crane of some sort would be needed to elevate and hold in place the large windows. We also have other windows that needed to be replaced throughout the house. Upon arrival, Daniel saw the window cutouts and proceeded to work him self into a frenzy. He claimed that "he did not install other people's windows and that we are wasting his time". My wife tried to explain, but he would not let her get a word in. At that point, due to his unprofessional and aggressive behavior my wife politely told him that this isn't going to work and asked him to leave. He started becoming more irate and raised his hand at her as if to back hand slap her. Please never use Madison Vinyl Windows. Daniel Kurtz is a bigoted coward. The photo below is of Daniel running off of my property. As a side note, Daniel, and I hope you are reading this, you can't just come to someone's house and disrespect their family. Things could of ended really badly for you.

He subcontracted a guy named Matt (maybe Matt's Flooring) to do the flooring. The painting was "the worst paint job ever" per two other professional painters I brought in after I fired Gary and his crew. There were so many flooring mistakes that I had to have all of it taken up and replace 25% that was not salvageable, and the cost to have it taken up. He destroyed fixtures with paint and made a mess everywhere. Cigarette butts all over my driveway. He has refused to respond or own up to any of the mistakes. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. A handyman at best but no painting or flooring skills.

After multiple phone calls, he finally said he couldn't do the job because he took another job in Westchester and was "too busy." I asked for a return of the $250 on multiple occasions and have yet to see a refund. It is now 3 months after he scammed the money from us and several promises at a return via money order. Looks like the next step is small claims court. Stay as far away from this guy as possible before you lose out on your money as well.

He impressed me with his extensive knowledge, so I hired them. They showed up bright and early every day, around 7:30, and worked through the whole day. They extended my dormers a foot so they extended over the windows and wrapped and caulked all the windows. I could tell just by being around them as they worked that Sal is a perfectionist and if something didn't look right, he made sure it was re-done correctly. I've had so many bad experiences with contractors so I was very happy to finally get such a competent one. I'm not an expert but to me it looks like they did an exceptional job. And I know they stand by their work because I called them when I had a question, and Sal came over the very next day.
