He apologized for our experience, and offered to send a mobile technician to our campground in Kerrville to perform the recall work at his expense. He also promised to personally ensure that this work was completed. The technician arrived this morning and the recall was completed in less than 30 minutes. I appreciate the follow-up from the GM at Doggett Freightliner and also appreciate the professionalism in handling my concerns.

My wife and I were passing through the San Antonio area last year on a trip from Oregon. We were…read moregoing to be there for a few days, so I had an opportunity to do a mid-trip inspection on our travel trailer. I was shocked to find that a couple of the spring shackles were worn to the point of imminent failure (five year old trailer). There's no way we would have made it back home without an immediate repair. We made contact with a trailer outfit in New Braunfels - the owner took a look at our issue and thought he could fix it. He said to bring it in the next morning. When we showed up, the owner wasn't there. We waited for about 45 minutes - when he did finally arrive, his story changed completely - he said he couldn't help us, and that "we'd be fine to make it home." Desperate, we made about 10 phone calls before we happened onto Brian at Specialty. We brought the trailer by, and he said he could probably deal with it the following morning "if his guys showed up." Sure enough, I called him first thing, and he said to bring it by. Backed it right into his shop, and an hour and a half later, all of the spring shackles were replaced and we were ready to roll. Gave us great peace of mind for the rest of the trip. It's really hard to find vendors like this nowadays. No one else could or would help us. His guys did a great job, and the price was amazingly reasonable, considering it was somewhat of an emergency. And charged an outrageous amount for a simple maintenance service, even though we provided the fluids. Went back for second time, again, an hour drive because, with their pathetic excuse for customer service, they do not take appointments. 8 am in the morning and they're already booked but don't take appointments. This company thinks they have Texas in the bag for service and it shows. Find another company if you possibly can. I don't know why Carrier even uses them for warranty work. We are hard working truck drivers and tomorrow, after being loaded with a windmill blade, will not have the flexibility to "run" back another 120 mile round trip only to be told they're booked the minute they open their doors. Outrageous.

Turns out all the tires needed to be replaced. 2 of the tires were so bad they warped and bent the rims. I replaced all 4 tires and the 2 bad rims. About $600 Went to magnum to inform them of the crap they sold me. They took zero responsibility and did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. So after writing a check for almost $9k for a brand new trailer, I had to turn around and spend almost another $1,000 to fix it. Idk how people like this stay in business
