It had been suggested to me before for other issues but I really didn't know what it entailed and chose not to try it. Now I know that was a mistake. The astonishing and detailed attention to my wound(s), the thoroughness of the personnel and the numerous steps they took to gauge the progress of the situation made me quickly realize I'd made the right choice. Ariel, Daniel and Dr. Kocurek were efficient, professional, gentle (although Daniel - who works very quickly - was a bit rough on 1 occasion), thorough and compassionate. I especially and very highly recommend Ariel - who took great pains to make sure I was not in any unnecessary discomfort and was always very, very kind and thoughtful. I received great care from all of these individuals and would refer anyone who needs help getting a would cleared up. Stacy - who works in the office, was also very helpful and polite. I'm very glad I decided to try the wound care center.

" Here he is! " Transferred to auto in front of hospital via wheelchair ("we had advised you just to bring his clothes in and we'd transport him back to you via wheelchair"). Questions from me later, based on 2 specialists attending him--they did not recognize either one, and their checking online using my husband's (patient) name, said they could find no such person called in as a consultant. I was a working RN throughout my lifetime in various specialties. This is ground zero for any semblance of decent healthcare.

I'm so extremely grateful to Dr. Koh for being so throrough, detailed, and meticulous with recording so much info for my chart & my case. I'll forever be eternally grateful to her for the official diagnosis so I could finally begin the first steps of applying for disability. She's highly knowledeable, compassionate, and is genuinely interested in helping her patients find the best solution possible for their ailments. She is a relatively young Dr., but somehow she knows more than doctors who are twice her age!! She graduated from med school from the University Toronto, which I feel is a great advantage because American med schools don't seems to teach hardly anything about super-rare diseases (at least not about the one that I have, which affects roughly 1 out of about every 100,000). If you feel that you're suffering from a rare disease & are hoping for some answers, Dr. Koh is by far the best, most knowledgeable doctor to go see. I spent nearly 30 years of going to specialists, only to be left without a single answer. All the other doctors would never listen & would all always blow me off, so after about ten years of trying, I gave up all hope for over 20 years regarding seeking help from specialists until it became critical for me to start seeking to apply for disability. Dr. Koh is the only doctor who I've ever seen who actually genuinely cares about helping me with my disease & who actually listens to me & who treats me with compassion, dignity & respect!! By far the best specialist I've ever seen, and I've seen my share of doctors off and on going way back to 1997!!

No one returned my call. I called again later in the day and spoke with Tila who is not very knowledgeable and she took a second message for the doctor to return my call. On March 10th the doctor still didn't respond to my messages so I called again and spoke Crisida (name might be misspelled) I gave her the same message "I'm not feeling well and is my blood work normal". She left me on hold and then informed me the doctor was calling me on the other line but I never received a missed call. I waited about 20 minutes and call their office again and I spoke with a lady and didn't get her name but she's an older lady and I heard huffing and pudding attitude over the phone which is ridiculous but she informed me the doctor was supposively calling me again but Crisida failed to tell me that Dr. Abdelmasih was calling me from a blocked number which is fine but then I would need to adjust my phone settings. Third attempt the doctor finally called me and she seemed bothered because she was driving and her responses to my concerns were Uh huh okay. I'm a new patient with UTMB or wait I was a patient with this medical provider and I will medical treatment elsewhere. The staff members who answer your incoming calls need better training and Tila if she's a nurse then IDK why she couldn't answer any of my concerns regarding the medication.

They are slow to acknowledge you at the window. On Friday the 31st I was supposed to have a blood draw to check my A1C,. Upon my arrival I found the office to be closed. I called after the holiday and was told that they were on the emergency room side. The doors were locked and no cars in the parking lot. I don't have an emergency, so why would I go to the emergency room side of this clinic. Today I showed up for my appointment and was told I had the wrong date. I was told one thing on the phone and apparently it got switched. I'm tired of the rude, smug front staff. I will be looking for a new doctor.

A nurse came by to get me with a wheelchair, checked my vitals, and took all the necessary x-rays. The doctor, Paul Reilly, seemed experienced and gave me good advice for rest and care. The whole visit took less than 20-30 minutes. This is a quick and affordable spot to get your urgent needs met.

Jessica told us about their busy day and let us know they were no longer taking walk- ins for the night. She offered to schedule the guy an appointment for the next morning. The Provider Stephanie signed the Fast Pass paper so we can drive 6 more miles to the nearest ER that accepted his insurance. I mentioned a Stop the Bleed kit or assistant since he was bleeding on counter. The provider never came from the back to assess, render aid nor communicate with us at all. She just kept walking from left to right wall in the back. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO STOP if you are HAVING AN EMERGENCY. They never looked at the deep cut so no help was given to stop the bleeding. 1 star for making sure the ER referred accepted his insurance. 0 stars for the patient care, empathy, customer service and beyond.
