I had called countless companies trying to diagnose and fix a problem with my HOOT system, and nobody could give me a straight answer or clear direction on how to move forward. The situation became even more stressful when we unexpectedly found another home to purchase and already had a buyer for our current home. During the septic inspection, they found a crack in the system -- despite the system being practically brand new. We had photos, the full inspection report, and still nobody seemed knowledgeable or confident enough to help. I even contacted the HOOT NJ distribution center directly because the entire situation seemed crazy to me, and thankfully they referred me to Sisco Services. From the first phone call, I knew I was dealing with professionals. DJ was extremely knowledgeable, confident, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I was given a very reasonable quote, and Marta got us scheduled almost immediately. The repair was completed quickly and professionally, and the communication throughout the entire process was excellent. They were attentive, responsive, and truly cared about helping us resolve the issue properly. Having a HOOT/septic system can honestly feel overwhelming as a homeowner because most of us don't fully understand how these systems operate, and it's incredibly difficult to find trustworthy contractors who actually know what they're doing. I hired Sisco to install a very expensive Hoot septic system at my newly purchased home. Sisco also…read moreinstalled a glass sleeve with ultra violet (UV) lights which were intended to kill bacteria. I was never informed by Sisco that they had installed the UV lights and was never instructed by Sisco on anything related to their operation. A few months later, the septic alarm started buzzing daily. The septic inspector came out to service the system and advised that the glass sleeve was not properly sealed, which allowed water to slowly seep in and short out the UV lights. When I contacted Marta at Sisco about the problem she refused to do anything and told me I had to contact the supplier where Sisco purchased the UV lights and sleeve. After many hours of effort on my part, I was finally able to get the replacement parts from the manufacturer (delivered at my expense) and asked Sisco to cover the cost of installation since they purchased defective parts and improperly installed them only a few months before. Sisco flat out refused to pay any of the cost whatsoever and asserted that I was required to notify them of any issues within 30 days of completion. This would have been impossible as they well know because the leak happed slowly over months and I would not have been able to notify them within 30 days. Sisco lacks even the slightest degree of consideration for their customers and refuses to stand behind their work and the products they install. Sisco used cheap annual grass seed to cover the excavated area of the lawn. It looked okay for a few weeks last summer and this year the entire area is brown with only weeds growing through the rocks they dumped. I now have to hire a landscaper to pull it all out and reseed. They also dumped loads of extra gravel on the ground where they pulled up the patio pavers. I now have to remove the gravel so the pavers can be reinstalled. I would NEVER recommend this company for any septic work!
