Very unimpressed with the whole interaction and would expect more kindness from a fellow vet med professional.

I am so glad Paulie visited Dr. Kohn, and we met his friendly, lovely wife Maricel as well today. This veterinary clinic I feel comfortable, like I was was with family and friends. One moment that really stands out was when I found a sudden lump on Hazel's neck. Hazel is a yorkiepoo and a former puppy mill mama who means the world to me. I panicked, thinking the worst, especially since our regular vet's office was closed. I reached out to Dr. Erin, and she immediately helped me think through what might be going on. She asked if Hazel had received any shots recently, and when I mentioned a new allergy injection the day before, she explained how that could be the cause. Finally, they were able to get a mistake corrected on my dog's rabies certificate by contacting her last vet - this meant she didn't get a shot she didn't need, and I'm grateful for that. The office was reasonably clean, and didn't smell bad. The staff were all super friendly, and I felt like they cared about my dogs.

I will find a vet who is concerned about providing efficient, well trained staff, not lecturing clients about who to act when such service is not provided. Find a vet who is professional and friendly to take care of your pets, not someone looking for a confrontation over nothing. Huge red flag here.

They will come out to your car to retrieve your animal. (ALL staff is wearing masks) you should wear one too, to reduce transmission rates from ~70% (in an interaction in which one person is masked & one is not) to ~1.5% (when both people are masked) It was our first time with this vet. They're very friendly & clearly love animals. I really feel like my fur baby is in good hands here. I'm at ease & they know the best ways of handling animals because my dog was chill about the entire thing. My dog was monitored 100% of the time when he was anesthetized until he woke up and was ensured to be in stable condition. They prescribed him clindamycin (antibiotic) to treat a root infection. He was on this for a week before the extraction & for a couple weeks afterwards. This antibiotic is used in treating deep bone infections (root infections can spread to the surrounding bone) He was on two painkillers: gabapentin, an anticonvulsant seizure med that's also used in treating nerve pain. & the liquid form of Meloxicam which is a veterinary NSAID (same class of drugs as Advil. But Advil itself is poisonous to dogs just a PSA) He is all healed. He had a follow-up appointment after his extraction which was free of charge. They just wanted to see he was all healed up.

Every other staff member was friendly and welcoming. The vet tech explained the medicines and dosage and answered additional questions very well. The clinic is clean and well run. I'll also bring my other 2 resident cats there in the near future. I'm very impressed!!
