Uwajimaya is a great one stop Asian market. They have a food court, Japanese gift shop, grocery store, bookstore, and more. It was fun checking out the yummy sushi, noodles, candies, and seafood that stretched from one side of the store to the other. This store (Bellevue ) is awesome! Stocks all your favorites from what seems like every Asian country and Hawaii. So go buy your favorites or make some new favorites. It's fun to try new things, like Bubble Tea. All the store employees are helpful and friendly. They have a hot food section and will have a separate designated Bubble Tea shop opening soon. They also have a really nice gift section, and change things out by Holiday season. Oh, and some super duper sales. I've never seen an ad flyer, so you kinda have to walk the aisles to find them. Like today I got Hawaiian Sun drinks for $0.89/each. Which if you've had them - is like wow! So go, try new things and find new favorites and expand your culinary horizons. read more

I bought some boxed custard cup cakes, looked at the expiration date before buying, stated "2017." When I opened the box at home, every package inside the box had mold. Went back to the store, asked to speak with the manager to return the custard cakes with mold, THE MANAGER DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE for selling food with mold, he just told one of the cashiers to refund the money. I usually make a run to this store from Renton to Bellevue to buy boxed pastries and produce. Having to drive there to return something because it has mold is not very inconvenient. They definitely lost my business. I'll never trust the food they sell is of good quality. read more

I cant stress that enough.. they didnt have the long rear view mirrors that you usually find in asian stores back home in cali but whateva.. they have everything asian you could ask for. shrimp chips, chicharones with the fat, roller coasters, yanyan, pocky, japanese candy. I love Uwajimaya. Their staff is always friendly. Definitely hold a higher standard than their H-Mart counterpart. Their fruits and veggies are always fresh and in season. Their cherries are ammmmmazing! Meat and seafood are always fresh and tender. Their deli is amazing and offers plenty of choices I wish they would change up their menu sometimes but hey I'm not complaining. Overall great store! read more

I love the hot food here. I can smell chinese bbq pork from the entrance of the supermarket and my mouth waters! They have a lot of selections for fresh produce (not limited to asian) and asian packaged food (condiments, seasoning, and etc). I love their selection of fresh seafood and meat. Great place to gather all your Asian cravings. Items may be a little pricey, but with the limited options for Asian groceries, this is only one of two places I know near downtown Bellevue. They also have a nicely lit up cherry blossom tree as you walk in. read more

I go to all the groceries and this is the most helpful staff around. The produce department goes above and beyond and the cafeteria staff get all excited when you choose their recommendations. Staff members are ten times nicer than at Whole Foods. Also yes the Asian food in the cafeteria is salty but not as salty as you get in restaurants. So if you like Asian food but have to avoid it because of salt this may be an option you can try. read more

Since relocating next to Total Wine, their selection of trinkets in their gift section has expanded significantly to encompass miscellaneous items ranging from GO boards to Korean facial masks. While some of their goods may not be placed at the cheapest prices, Uwajimaya is certainly worth a visit due to the high quality that you receive. Furthermore, near the deli, there is a section dedicated to various baked delicacies and some of their breads are made by Kiki Bakery, which is positioned next to Malay Satay Hut in Bellevue. read more

I finally made it into Uwajimaya after years of thinking about it and, honestly, I wasn't blown away. I went in hoping for a nice take-out sushi selection and was really unimpressed. Either it was completely picked over or maybe they just don't stock much variety, I have no idea, but I probably won't go back to find out. I like the sushi selection at Whole Foods so if I'm in downtown Bellevue and grabbing something to bring home I'll likely just hit there. read more

in the short time this new location has been open, i've already visited it more than i ever had the old place over several years! i've discovered that this uwajimaya consistantly has the absolute best clams ever. only on a couple rare occassions has the clam selection been lame and it's still on par with your average other super market. selection is slightly limited if you've been spoiled by the flagship store in seattle. still for my asian grocery needs, this place is my favorite in the east side. read more

I haven't been here in a whole because it's quit the drive from my home, but whenever I'm in Seattle I make a point to come here. The whole atmosphere of the plus is amazing and thank goodness for free parking in their lot/parking garage with a minimum $5 purchase. I love perusing the aisles, they're large, clean, and stocked with everything Asian you could imagine. Their seafood department is impressive. I enjoy checking out their dishes and other dining goodies. The food court is also great, they have Thai, Korean, Chinese....so many good options. Do stop of you're in Seattle! read more

The quality of the ramen has fallen considerably recently. The food stand now feels undeniably fast-foodish. It still remains a very decent asian grocery store. I really like it here. I use to work here, so I'm pretty familiar with the place. The people are really helpful here except for some of the cashiers. The people stocking will help you find anything you need to find. And they have everything here you need to make a perfect dinner. Things are reasonably priced. Not the best but good enough. The quality of their products are really good. They are constantly stocking so they always catch the things that are getting close to the expiration date. So you'll never end up buying anything that you can't use next week. And They have lots of international candy that you can't find at other places. And Lots of instant noodles. VERY fresh and pricing reasonable compared to other Japanese supermarkets. We bought sashimi this time around and was impressed with the White King Salmon, Maguro Tuna, and yes the Uni. Most supermarkets have bland tasting Uni (usually the grade), but Uwajimaya had very sweet Uni. Pricing of sashimi and seafood is very comparable to other supermarkets. Went there to get some Asian snacks and drinks. They have a huge variety or choices: soy milk, chrysantheum tea, aloe, grass jelly, etc.

What a great Japanese supermarket. I'm from SoCal and we have a lot of good Asian market out there. But this one is unique, it had a lot of things I haven't seen. They have a great variety of foods and trinkets to choose from. I especially love that they have a healthy dose of Hawaiian products. You can get Manapua and Guava cake in there. Plus it has Ellanos Greek yogurt. Two thumbs up from me! read more

Uwajimaya is one of those stores that makes you come back for more. Its a very traditional store that has alot of variety and selection to choose from. When i was a child, growing up i use to visit the location up by Interlake before they moved to where they are now. After rediscovering Uwajimaya last year, i was coming to this store every month to stock up on food and goodies. The candy section is a good size and the items are priced just right. There are a few products that are priced higher than other places but to me i don't see this as being a problem. They have sales quite often that makes up for the pricey selection. The meat and seafood is always fresh and the meat is so tender. They never run out of meat to put on display. If you come at the end of the day, the seafood section looks bare unless its packaged. The bakery is one of my favorites besides the gift shop section of the store. I love buying bread and pastries here. they are very affordable. The employees who work here are friendly at check out but i never can find anyone on the sales floor to answer my questions. But that is no problem because i end up wandering around till i find it. which by then i have found 12 other things i needed to get. I spend at least 30 minutes to a hour in this store. The only concern i have is that the gift shop gifts are cheap and break easily. Recently i purchased a totoro wallet and it broke in 3 days. Its completely unusable now. The skin and hair care section is fun to look through, although i can't read the instructions on most of the labels. So sometimes i don't buy anything. Overall, good selection of products. The meat, seafood and produce is fresh. Deli is always busy with people so i never stop by for lunch but i love their rice bowls. And i can always find what i need here. Prices are good and the atmosphere is pleasant. I'll continue to be a loyal costumer. read more

I'm in LOVE with Uwajimaya. I wish that I lived closer to an Uwajimaya. The produce is fresh, and they have produce that I can't get from non-Asian grocery stores. The prices are fair, and I am getting better quality than at other Asian grocery stores. Uwajimaya has ruined me for when I visit other cities outside of Seattle/Portland. The best and cleanest Asian supermarket in the US, Uwajimaya is the place to get fresh seafood and all the ingredients you need to make your favorite Asian food. I've been going to Uwajimaya ever since 1998 and I am really happy to see their new Bellevue location. It's clean, organized and fully stocked with great sauces, vegetables, seafood, everything. I make Hawaiian Ahi Poke and the only place I've found to get frozen tuna blocks is here at Uwajimaya. There, I just gave you my secret. They also have a wonderful hot and cold food deli. They have Peking Ducks hanging in the deli and I have to try one sometime. Their gift area is also great. It boasts some of the coolest kitchen gadgets and Japanese food accessories around (chopsticks, dishes, tea cups, etc). I love this place! read more

I have always love Uwajimaya. This store is nicer than the old location but I liked the old one, it was closer to me and felt more authentic. However the reason I shop here hands down is the seafood and sashimi quality fish. They also have fruits and veggies that can be hard to find elsewhere and cute gifts. 5 star for fish, 4 for service, 2 for the parking. read more

This store doesn't have the best price, but it has some items not found elsewhere, like live crabs and lobsters. I'll recommend shopping here if you're buying Asian food that are rarely seen in other stores, otherwise you can almost certainly find better price elsewhere easily. read more

Can't say much more than other reviewers. This east side staple is in the old larrys market building - so it is a quick stop just off 405. The store is about to expand - I heard a cashier mention it today 1-25-16. They are going to have most anything you might want. The prices are quite a bit higher than at Ranch 99, H Mart or even the Bellevue Asian Food Market. But as a person that only speaks English and European languages - Uwajimaya is going to have employees that can help you find things. That is worth the additional cost for me! read more
