What is up with all the negative reviews? I love this location. My buddy lives within walking distance so whenever we go over to his place, we come down here to grab ready-to-eat food. We were very hungry after a wine tasting/share so we grabbed a bunch of items this time. Everything we picked up was good! Pretty impressive given they were just all sitting in the fridge (it was around 930pm). Their selection of premade food is amazing. My favorite is their chicken karage. Highly recommended! Poké is good too. This venue is very clean and well stocked. I wish I had Metropolitan Market near me!

Always a five star shopping experience! I came here for coffee and dessert. Satisfying trip. I chose the metropolitan brand coffee. And I purchased one slice of New York cheesecake. I love purchasing just one piece. It's lovely. Friendly service and always a lovely vibe. Nice music playing too. Huge parking lot. Treat yourself. SYOY.

Disabled people need to grocery shop during all hours of the day and night. They do not just go out during the mid day time. This store blocks off entrances for safety reasons after 8/9pm but they block off the entrance furthest from the disabled parking. This decreases equal access for people with limited mobility.

I loved the Kirkland met market and was excited to try this new one on Mercer Island. The best thing I love from Kirkland was their thumb print jam/chocolate cookie. I was disappointed to find out they don't have thumbprint cookies at this location. Sad. But they do have "The Cookie". It was a very rich chocolate chip, very nice texture. It was a special item behind the counter so I thought it would have been warmed but it was not. The produce still seem fresh and organized like what New Season used to be, I think it is a good replacement on the Island but was just bummed from the missing treat. Hope maybe it was just missing due to COVID.

    This store sucks!

They have a great cheese counter and their deli is awesome. I like their made-to-order sandwiches as they skimp on nothing and make them as quick as possible. It is easy to get in and get out with only one odd aisle configuration by the cheese counter. They have a very large variety of pastries and receive Top Pot doughnuts fresh daily. These are especially popular and often are sold out by noon. They typically seem busier in the day then during the evenings in general. Otherwise I don't notice anything majorly different here versus other QFCs. I like it, it has what I need.

But the lunch omakase special is what I really wanted I think. But even so. The poke bowl was mixed. I have to unfortunately knock off the stars/taste because the rice I got was literally the worst rice I've ever had touching raw fish. The rice was like hard and stale. I even had a clump that looked like it was the burnt part from leaving it on the cooker for too long and it couldn't bite it. I know this place is for the fish, but there's a bare minimum expectation on rice quality. And the fish itself was good? Maybe cuz it's the poke and not the omakase (so mixed chopped pieces) but there were pieces that tasted super fresh and delicious and then there were pieces that had so much tendon I couldn't bite through it. The folks there were super nice and friendly especially since I had no idea what to order. Just wish I was more delighted by the meal, especially cuz it was like $18 poke bowl. I'll give it another try with hopes it's better next time.

You pay for the banh mi at the grocery checkout and then bring the receipt to the banh mi counter - which is just to the left inside S Marts South entrance. This is a small spot and they get busy, so perhaps check out the wait time and order before you shop. I waited 30 minutes mid day today. So no problems there. But since we were here, decided to get something I've been wanting for a while. On a visit to a Miami's Whole Foods, noticed that they sell Golden Osetra Caviar from TSAR NICOULAI ($94.99 for an ounce). Like some other sale items, there is more of a discount if Prime member, so got the item for $76.99. In the same area, there are caviar accompaniments like blinis and creme fraiche, so got some of that too. Self checkout was easy: able to use the Amazon app to generate a barcode for my account, and was able to use the Amazon credit card to pay for it. The receipt was sent directly via email, but printing is possible as well.
