Vijay Seoni only uses quality products - and her technique is immaculate. I'm not too sure how two hours passed but she made everything so comfortable and at ease. She walks you through each step - every product she uses - what they are intended to do - and the best part was watching her take the time to analyze your skin to make sure the routine she does is catered to your issues and needs. She has specific products for every skin type, and takes the added time to really explain what you're getting done, and also takes the time to explain how you can continue a good skin regime (whether it's with or without the products she uses). I can honestly say my skin feels beyond flawless, I can't remember the last time it felt this smooth and clean. She also did the vitamin c infusion for my skin - and I can't believe the difference it made. I am beyond impressed by her work, and more impressed with her hospitality and how at ease she made me feel when I walked in unsure of what to expect. I knew I needed to have these mistakes corrected, and I knew I needed to find a highly creditable makeup artist who could do it. I did extensive research on finding a highly recommended permanent makeup artist in the DC area. I wanted someone with experience and credentials I could trust. My research led me to Teres Wright of Permanent Beauty in Rockville, MD. Teres has excellent attention to detail and listens attentively to your needs. She is very knowledgeable about makeup and color. She is friendly, warm, and takes her time to analyze your face taking into consideration your age, skin tone, lips, etc., and only then will she make recommendations on what will work best for you. Painlessly, Teres corrected the mistakes the first artist made on my face. She camouflaged the areas that needed to be hidden, and she reshaped and recolored the other areas to enhance my face. Let me first state that I have had 2 experiences with Kiley; the first was incredibly positive and I was very happy with my hair when I left the salon. Prior to my appointment the first time, I did have a consultation and met with her beforehand where we discussed everything that needed to be done to my hair and I was given a firm price, however, on the actual day of my appointment, the cost for my hair was an additional $100 than the amount I was told during the consultation without any explanation. I didn't care about it too much at the time because I was truly in love with my hair, and I had thoroughly enjoyed my time talking to her - even though the higher cost seemed very shady to me. Regardless, I left with a great hair color and cut that I was very happy with. I returned to Kiley about a year later as my hair really needed touched up. I hadn't had it cut or colored since she had last done my hair and I was excited for her to work her magic again. But this experience was a nightmare. I asked her for the same thing that she had done with my hair last time, because she had done such an amazing job. However, this time she barely spoke unless spoken to (unlike the first time) and it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and like I was a bother when I was making attempts to break the awkward silence. Eventually, she told me that she was having an argument with someone close to her so I understood her silence and sympathized with her. About halfway through the appointment, she was continuously checking her phone while I was laying in the sink and then asked me if I could leave and come back within the next few days because she had another client coming in and couldn't finish my hair. I was supposed to have the day with her and was told she didn't book other clients previously. I was starting a new job 3 days after this appointment and I just wasn't able to come back and I repeatedly told her that it wasn't possible for me to come back again in a few days. Ultimately, I realized that despite my busy schedule, it was clear that I was going to have to come back even when it was very inconvenient for me to do so. So I left with very uneven, blotchy, unfinished hair and booked another appointment for 2 days after even though I told her I had an event to go to that day..but I figured I could squeeze in the hair appointment, so I did. As I was leaving the salon, a guy with flowers was walking in and hands them to Kiley and they walked together back to her room. I then realized this was the individual with whom she stated she was having problems with to me earlier. I felt as though it was incredibly unprofessional, as it was then clear to me that she had asked me to leave in the middle of my appointment with awful looking hair, to rearrange my schedule, just so she could handle a personal issue. But, I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she had amazed me with my hair the last time and I was trying to be understanding of what she was going through. I arrived at my second appointment with limited time as I had already told her that I had an event later that day, but this was the only time that I could see her after having to make a second appointment. She still barely spoke, and by the end I was in such a rush to leave that I didn't fully look at my hair to see the outcome. When I paid, I was charged for TWO appointments, so what I paid + the tip was just under $700. I was EXTREMELY upset, but I was late and had to leave. When I got into my car, I saw my hair and I wanted to cry. To make things worse, I had to go to the event with my hair looking the way that it did. My hair was green, teal, yellow, gray, you name it. There were circles and huge stripes of colors when I had asked her for silver hair. Just silver..nothing else. For the amount of time I had spent in such an uncomfortable environment AND for the amount of money I spent... I was so incredibly upset. After a couple of days, I tried to contact Kiley about fixing my hair and her only solution was to make another appointment. Not only could I not afford another appointment with her, but I just didn't even feel like it would be worth it to sit in that uncomfortable environment - and truthfully, I didn't trust her with my hair at all anymore to have even wanted to go back. I am giving Kiley 2 stars, because I really loved my first experience with her, however, I do not recommend this salon. Please save your time and your money before you go through what I went through!

I decided to go to her after seeing her work in instagram, and just to know that she is best friends with another favorite hairstylist of mine that actually gets me. She is super nice, approachable, and very approachable person. I had my hair the lightest (balayage with base) i have ever been and as well as cut my hair and I love it!! At first I wasn't very happy with the color eyeshadow because it was too mauve(ish) and seemed a little too mature for what I was going for. She was super great about it and worked with me to find a color that was better suited. I've had my makeup done a lot and sometimes artists take it really personally when you say you don't like something. This was not the case at all. I also had photos done for something else and the photographer used Ryan as a makeup artist. Ryan was super friendly and easy to get along with. She also did an awesome job with my makeup. On the actual wedding day, Kathy was punctual and very patient with my bridesmaids. She had done my sister's makeup first and then redid it completely over when my sister got really emotional (happy tears!) and cried away all her makeup. I was so happy with my makeup. I used the airbrush which is amazing even though I was a little apprehensive about it at first. I didn't have the cakey look that so many brides have and the coloring was just amazing. I have never felt more beautiful than when Marquia tells me to hop off her chair and take a look in the mirror. Like today, when I literally couldn't stop gawking at how she took me from Zombie extra in a remake of Michael Jackson's Thriller to a pretty little PR princess! One thing I love about Marquia is her energy and enthusiasm. She is sweet and gracious, and really gets pumped about making her clients look their best. She is engaged and takes into consideration what you want, while transforming that look into something that works for your features. Her infectious smile keeps me calm and soothes me no matter how stressed I am about whatever event it is I'm going to. She is also extremely punctual, and always arrives early, ready to set up and then sit down with you first, before starting. She'll discuss everything from your skin type to how you react after makeup is applied - greasy quickly/break out/redness - and from there, she tailors her approach and what she uses to eliminate those issues and help you put your best face forward. If I could give her a sixth star, I would have, because she is absolutely the most talented makeup artist in the DMV. I've even proposed that she move in with me... I hope she says yes!
