It's really expensive especially when I always like to tip the person threading. If you cannot get Uzma, the other lady is slow and pulls real slow like plucking out your eyebrows in slow mo! Ouch!! The area is clean . I didn't like how Uzma made my eyebrows too thin. So I am not sure about giving this place another try. read more

Uzma is the absolute best at doing brows! You are never disappointed leaving a visit with her. Something that could be improved is sanitation and hygiene. In the future I wish Uzma would wash hands in between clients and clean the head rest. Her hands rest on client's eyes which can easily spread bacteria and viruses to the next client. This woman truly does miracles, the miracle being that she's still in business. I actually did not get my eyebrows done here because our first interactions was....interesting? Yeah. Let's go with that. I walk in and see an empty place with a woman sitting in the corner reading something. I ask how much it is for threading, she says "$12", I was a bit surprised as this is higher than other places I've been and asked in a surprised voice, "for the thing with the thread?" (wanting to be sure that this is in fact what the price is for, as I'm guessing there are other services there, too). "Are you going to get it or not?" She asks. That kind of caught me off guard as it was quite rude, and I said "I guess not", "then go" she says, or something like that. I actually wasn't sure I heard her right, but I was confused, did she just ask me to leave? I left but I just couldn't believe it. So I went back and asked "excuse me, did you just ask me to leave because I was asking about the price?" She was kind enough to clarify that what she actually said was "you may go". Why thank you, I wasn't aware I had the right to leave. I responded "that's really rude, maybe that's why it's so empty in here? I'll be sure to leave a review on Yelp". I left and took a picture of the name of the place so I would remember it, as I was walking away, she called out to me, "Hey, f--- you, yeah f--- you, look at that", while showing her middle finger at which point she left me no choice but to laugh. Now, perhaps she does amazing brows, though I don't gather so from her reviews, but, you know, maybe not worth it? From reading other reviews, it looks like she doesn't care what you want anyways and is dirty and doesn't clean anything? Like I said, really, miraculous. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would! Worse place ever if you want your eyebrows ruined come here, I walked in she did my eyebrows in 2 min very quick. When I look in the mirror I wanted to cry one eyebrow was short and extra thin and the other thick and long I could not believe . Im still waiting for them to grow out since she made one so thin now it is taking forever. If you want 2 different mishape brows go here. read more

I will never go to Uzma's again!!!!! Last time I went there, I waited for about 4 other people in front of me, who were all rushed through. The lady's daughter was running the cash register and kept asking her about her cell phone while she was threading customers. When it was my turn, she spent literally 2 minutes on me, and was talking to her daughter the whole time. Obviously, not focusing on what she was doing, I now have one eyebrow much thinner than the other. A few weeks later I went to a different threading facility and the lady couldn't believe my eyebrows. She said people come in there all the time complaining about the service at UZMAS. Absolute garbage! Never go there! Not worth the 10 dollars, which is a rip off anyway, I've found places that charge 6. I'll gladly go out of my way to get actual quality, and for a cheaper price too! read more

I have been going to Uzma for 7 years. Ever since her little stand at the Hawthorn mall. She is absolutely amazing with eyebrows. I am very picky with eyebrows! I have been to other places (because she was on vacation and I couldnt wait) and its so painful!!!!! She is very quick and shapes beautifully. The only time I have noticed my eyebrows are a bit thin it's when I forget to say "just clean them up." Nothing beats having an almost painless experience in my opinion. read more

I've been a customer of Uzma's for over 10 years- she is the best. It's only $12 for eyebrow threading, which is a bargain. If you're new to threading I'd recommend Uzma because of her experience, but all the women are wonderful. They are nice, fast, and the results are great every time. Threading is so much better than waxing because it's quick, cheaper, painless and chemical free. You won't find better eyebrow threading anywhere in chicago's northern suburbs. read more

This place is nothing fancy, but they do a great job! Decided to get my brows done spur of the moment. They were able to take me right away, I was done in 5 minutes, and my brows look fantastic! It was clean, the staff was friendly, and, you can't beat the $10 price tag. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be going back! read more

Although it wasn't the warmest welcome, I found Uzma to be very friendly and down to earth. She was very honest about my eyebrows and explained what she did and why she threaded them they way she did. Pricey but not the most expensive place. read more
