I often go to farmers markets to buy locally as much as possible. The seller's carry seasonal items and they hold the market indoors in the winter. I love when it is outdoors, you get to hear the music if a band is present. They sell home goods and meats as well! It's not just produce here! Also, when you become a regular, the sellers tend to give you freebies... But shh! Don't tell any body I said so. 4 stars for always being the go to spot.

Many of the faithful vendors from Haymaker are there, with the same high quality wares. Lots of cool weather / greenhouse produce, herbs, baked goods, preserves, dried items, wonderful fresh cheese, frequently even hot food being sold by our neighbors and other familiar faces. The vendors are all very friendly and energetic, as Mike mentioned. Don't be shy to talk to them, because trust me, they want to take the time to talk to you! Have a question about their practices? They won't hide any details! Want to know the ingredients in a product? They're happy to tell you! This place is really all about community, and it shows. The market is held at Lucky Penny Creamery. You need to arrive early because the parking lot fills up quickly, and many of the goods won't last all day. I make sure to go first thing in the morning to get my grass-fed beef and free-range chicken! The inside is small, so if there are many vendors and many patrons, it might get a bit tight. Just be patient and enjoy yourself! Definitely worth a visit while you await the return of Haymaker in May!

The store offers a wide array of the usual Mediterranean and middle eastern food goods, imports, grocery, fresh meat, frozen items, cheeses, labneh, yogurt (Greek style, Lebanese, others), fresh pondered coffee beans, coffee/eat kettles, kitchen ware, pita bread bags, candy, and all the known lovely sweets (baklava, warbaat, katayef, etc). They also sell pre-packaged assorted baklava sweets, as well as imported sweets. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The owner is very friendly and she always tries to accommodate the kitchen needs especially when it comes to fresh meat, poultry, lamb, etc. Cleveland/Akron area has a number of similar stores, but this one serves Tallmedge and Akron area which helps since there are not too many similar stores directly nearby in Tallmedge and south Akron area. I did try the dill pickle at the counter and it was definitely homemade and delicious. The service was so helpful and the layout was great to move back and forth to see the cheeses, pickles, trail mix, and sweets. As soon as we got home we started sampling the cheeses with crackers. We were first greeted by a friendly girl that explained to us what Grandpas was all about. They have a restaurant, cheese shop, gift shop and across the way is a candy shop. So many cheeses to try!! We bought several cheeses that we were able to taste first. We are excited to take them home and enjoy them with family. We also got some pickles from their huge selection of pickles. We went to the candy shop last and got stone home made fudge, The BEST gummy bears and some chocolate covered pecans and raisins. This was a great stop!!
