They highly recommended Thompson so we stopped in just to chat. When we explained we were basically stranded Len brought in his expertise and stated we needed a new throttle body assembly. Fixed the steering with a quick belt change and tighten (after another garage had told us the struts needed replacing) and finally found another small issue that had been causing some odd noises - despite me forgetting to mention it when dropping the car off. Called me to confirm before starting any work, and again when the car was ready. That was two months ago, and the car's been flawless. Very happy! (FYI it's attached to the BP garage, not where the dot is on the Yelp map.)

Five days later, I still don't have my car back and I can't reach anyone at the shop - no answer to phone calls and their voicemail says "memory is full." Walked over to the shop to investigate and my car is parked in on all sides by other cars needing service - so I can't even get it towed to another garage. And they have my car key. Even AAA doesn't know how to remedy the situation at this point. I should've followed my instincts and had AAA tow it to my usual reliable tire place a few blocks away from the start. No idea when or how I will get my car back but it needs to be liberated from Liberty Service Center.
