There's so much to say about V&V Scratch Kitchen. First of all, this place is known for their sandwiches & pizza & daily changing menu. Every Saturday night, they have a 6 to 8 course chef's table, where the chef gets to experiment with different flavors. I brought a group of 10 to the restaurant, and the service was impeccable. We had 2 waiters for our table alone and everything came out quickly and well paced! The waiters were knowledgeable about the courses or made sure to find out more information if we had any questions. The menu was different and inventive. This chef's table is a great way to experiment with new flavors without ordering an entire meal. I loved everything from start to finish, and it was so unique and unexpected! I can't wait to come back and do the chef's table again. I love that this menu is always changing and always different!

Our first visit and we had a great meal! We liked the way the restaurant was set up where you placed your order at the register and paid for it at the same time. Though it was confusing at first, someone in line helped us out. No waiting for a server to take care of you. I liked the black theme throughout the restaurant. We will definitely go back. Looking forward to trying the pizza!

Thrilled that there's a new place to eat nearby with fresh and interesting options. We stopped in for dinner/ started with the housemade chips and mozzarella wedgies and kept it light with the beef and vegetables soup and the beet and goat cheese salad. It was actually too much food for 2 people, but everything was fresh and flavorful. I hope they will be here for years to come!

Saw this on Pittsburgh Today diner week so we thought we would give it a try, it was a bit of a hike for us but well worth the drive. I had the steak and cheese sandwich, shaved ribeye with provolone, sauteed onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo with chips and another member of our group had the Spinach, tomato and feta pizza, ( photos of both are included here). Another person had the Vincent burger, and another had the chicken tenders, all the food was great, large portions and the best homemade chips I've had anywhere. I'd highly recommend V and V scratch kitchen, give it a try.

Lobster Roll

From the menu and a few photos I saw I thought the inside would be fancier but it's really a casual place, definitely nothing fancy as even the walls are pretty marked up but the man at register was nice, lots of enticing food options! Ordered the lobster roll but didn't know for $29 they meant a baby-sized roll...pretty good but anywhere I've been always serves it more as a sub roll rather than a little bun, for equal or less the price. Now I know!

The food and atmosphere were great! Portions were massive and house chips were so yummy! Odd location, but spread the word and give them the business they deserve!

We attended a chef's table, $100 per person and BYOB (we didn't bring anything, but the lady at the table next to us offered me a glass of red wine, since neither of our husbands imbibe). They close the place down on a Saturday night just for this ~2-hour experience. We met a woman walking in who said it was her 14th! It's a nice experience, whether you're a foodie who wants elevated cuisine or looking for a date night. I did find that the savory dishes tended to be saltier than I would have liked, but all in all, it was worth the drive. Maybe we'll make this an annual event and see if we can find another couple to come with us.

White pizza with added spinach

Interesting how you order your food but it was all tasty nonetheless, I would go back again.

This place is great. Staff is friendly and provide good service. Order at the counter and food delivered to table. Good on refill of drinks. The standard menu is great and daily specials are so good and interesting. There is a pizza oven that provides great pizza but not sure of those hours so check on pizza hours if u are interested. Check out the daily specials on their facebook page.

Though V&V has a regular menu, it's the specials that I found most interesting. During this visit we enjoyed the fish tacos made with Amberjack. The meal came with four tacos in crunchy shells with fresh toppings like mango and pickled onions for $14. What a great deal! And, they were delicious! We also enjoyed the Vincent burger, which was huge. We selected the waffle fries as the side. Service was outstanding, with very happy staff taking our order at the counter and then popping by to ensure we were enjoying our food and filling our water and iced tea glasses. While we didn't get dessert, they had large yummy looking cookies on display. They also had daily dessert specials on the board. The dining rooms are bright and naturally lit with lots of windows. The kitchen is somewhat open, so you can feel the productive vibes as the food is being prepared. It appears that you can bring your own bottle, as a group of ladies were enjoying wine they had brought. I didn't see any alcohol on the menu. We dined early, around 4:45 pm, but it got busy starting at 5 pm, so we recommend going early.

The LOBSTER ROLL IS EVERYTHING! Tried V&V Scratch kitchen for the first time last night with some girlfriends and it was really great! I got the lobster roll and the large chunks of lobster meat were cooked perfectly, nicely buttered and served on a really yummy buttered roll. The waffle fries and house salad that come with it were great! My two friends ordered the Vivien and enjoyed their chicken sandwiches as well. Couple thing to note: they are reservation only on Saturday, you can order at the counter to go or dine-in, and most importantly they are BYOB (with no cork fee!) So pick up a nice bottle of wine and go enjoy V&V scratch kitchen!

We just did the Chef's table for our second time and this place is legit one of the best restaurants. They are extremely accommodating as we let them know ahead of time that my husband has aversions to seafood and mushrooms. Service is attentive and pleasant. Each dish was incredible. My favorite was the king prawn and oxtail ravioli. Dessert was amazing, as well. We already booked the chef's table again for February!

So coming from Texas, we don't have neighborhood taverns. Just not legal I guess. NH was something I would have seen in an Archie Bunker scene. We were not disappointed. Great bar setting. Great food. Family atmosphere. As for the food, me being a wing guy, I got wings w/ sauce on the side. I do this as it keeps the wings crispier I was not disappointed. Wings were awesome. Hot. Crispy. And then touched with a bit of sauce, OH SO GOOD. My coworker and I each got the hand cut French fries as a side and we should have shared. Huge portions and so hot and crisp. Add some ketchup and a little black pepper, bammm, mmmmm so good. I wish we in Texas had places like New Hafbrau. Where everyone knows your name.

From the moment we walked in, Daniel and Nina took such attentive, personalized care of us. They truly made the evening feel special. Nina made me a watermelon mule with fresh watermelon purée, and it was hands down the best Moscow mule I've ever had. Daniel smoked my husband's bourbon cocktails, which he absolutely loved. Chef Devin created an incredible meal from start to finish. The entire experience was five-star, and honestly, it was the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had--and we consider ourselves foodies. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. The aviation theme is such a fun touch, and the Edison bulbs, soft lighting, and beautifully restored historic home create a warm, intimate ambiance. Even the bathrooms were spotless and thoughtfully decorated (which I always appreciate!). The food was outstanding. We were welcomed with an incredible amuse-bouche wonton along with warm bread and dipping oil. We started with the Wagyu tacos, which were phenomenal, then split a Caesar salad that was fresh and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, I ordered the prosciutto-wrapped chicken, which was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. My husband had the bone-in ribeye, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The purple potato purée was the perfect complement. I paired my dinner with their red blend, which was delicious. To finish, we shared the tiramisu, complete with a candle for our anniversary, and toasted the evening with refreshing espresso martinis. I truly can't say enough good things about Latitude 48. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was unforgettable, and every bite was memorable. If you're anywhere nearby, it's an absolute must-visit--and even if you're not, it's worth making the trip. We'll definitely be back!

Latitude 48 restaurant, named after its approximate coordinates, is described as "fine dining" on…read moreits website, but in my experience, it actually serves upscale foods in a casual atmosphere with above-average pricing. It serves farm-to-table foods, particularly exotic meats such as alligator, bison, boar, duck, elk, goat, and wagyu. Other menu items include more common meats such as chicken and seafoods such as trout and lobster tail. It also has a full bar serving wines, beers, and spirits. My husband and I ate one dinner here. We wore jeans with nicer shirts. The seating hostess and the waiter performed their jobs well. Our waiter brought an amuse-bouche of reuben egg rolls (5 stars), which were crispy and tangy and we really enjoyed, as well as focaccia bread (4 stars), which tasted good but could have been warmer. For my appetizer, I ordered the Wagyu Tacos (4.5 stars), corn tortillas filled with Japanese A5 Wagyu, cilantro-lime crema, tomato relish, and chipotle puree in a corn tortilla. These tacos were messy to eat but tasted very good. My husband ordered the Corn Fritters (4 stars) with cilantro-lime crema and tomato jam. My main course was the Bison Filet Mignon (4 stars), which I ordered mid-rare but could have been juicier. It came with sides of corn relish, asparagus, and purple-potato puree that could have been creamier. My husband's main course was the Prosciutto-wrapped Chicken Breast (3.5 stars), which my husband ate and said was alright. He particularly liked the flavorful peppers. His other sides were wild rice and zucchini. For dessert, I followed the waiter's recommendation for the Tiramisu (4.5 stars), which was moist and had a good balance between the coffee and sweet flavors. At the end of our meal, the waiter brought warm, lemon-scented, wet towels. The total price for our meal was $183 plus a tip. My husband and I thought that the foods overall tasted good but did not quite match the price point.
