I've never had a true miss here. We have dined at the restaurant and gotten deliveries several times and we only had an issue with the order one time and that was quickly rectified. Also, they were very empathetic to the mistake, which is rare nowadays. I absolutely love the shrimp and crab enchiladas. They are such a lovely and savory enchilada. The crab and shrimp don't overpower the other flavors and it's very well done. I also love the side of street corn, perfect elote flavor without any heat. My husband and my daughter, both love the chicken pot pie and the fried sweet potatoes. We were greeted by a professional young man and promptly seated. The restaurant itself was clean, noise levels were a little high but nothing crazy. I ordered the brisket quesadillas as my entree, they were decent and priced at $17 We also Order the brisket sandwich and Cole slaw, also priced at $17. If you're a fan of fatty, this is for you, if not, it wouldn't be the best selection. Both meals were ok. Was here for an event. The party room is excellent and closed off. Very spacious and perfect for a shower or party. The cornbread was amazing, everything else was just eh. The service was only 2 servers for about 35 guests which was not enough. So it was pretty slow for drinks etc. I ended up going to the bar myself for water. This was my second visit to this Juniper Grill. I will say that I was at the one in Cranberry several years back and had a terrible experience. In that experience we had issues with the food, the server and the final bill. Now on to this one. Last time I visited they had the old Atria Octoberfest menu for specials. I really enjoyed the jaeger schnitzel on that menu. This last visit which I'm reviewing, wasn't as great. The restaurant was remodeled not that long ago when it was switched to Juniper from Atria's, so it was clean, neat and well done. The service we had was very good. Our server was very kind, very attentive and he ensured we were well taken care of. On this visit I was there for lunch. I had I believe the campfire chicken sandwich and coleslaw as my side. I swapped out the jalapeno mayo for regular. I opted for the coleslaw instead of the fries as my side. My coworkers had burgers, brisket sandwiches and salads for their choices. They all seemed to enjoy them. As for me, the coleslaw seemed to have an odd flavor, I was guessing a bunch of onion but I'm still not sure. The sandwich was good. The low score comes from something not sitting well with me later and numerous restroom visits after. That's all I had that day so I can only imagine it was something from that meal. read more

Came to Juniper Grill for an event. The service was absolutely great! We had the entire back area to ourselves. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The menu was pre chosen for us by the organizer- it was fish, bbq chicken, salad, veggies and mashed potatoes. There was also cornbread at each table. Cornbread was AMAZING!!!! I could eat that everyday. The rest of the menu was just ehhh for me. I would be interested to come back and try items off their regular menu. I would not recommend the fish or bbq chicken though. Stopped back last month for Valentine's Day dinner. We made reservations and assumed it would be chaos (almost every restaurant is that day). We had a short wait after arriving but were swiftly directed to a high top. Our waiter advised of the special menu which included a nice spin on the 8oz Angus Filet and a 12oz prime rib. Drinks, I went with an old fashion and my wife ordered the pineapple infused cosmo followed by a raspberry Bellini, all were delicious! I am very particular about steaks, almost never order them unless it's my go to restaurant but took a dive here and ordered the Filet Oscar which was a 8oz Angus Filet covered in sautéed lump crab meat with yukon gold potatoes. This was an excellent pairing and the steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare). The prime rib was great as well. We sprung for dessert, picking the cheesecake and Black Forest chocolate torte. The torte just melts in mouth, definitely recommend. All and all a great experience, we will certainly be back again! read more

I sampled Juniper Grill's Mexican Street Corn at the 2025 Pittsburgh Taco Festival. The corn was sweet and juicy with just the right level of crispness. There was only a drizzle of sauce, which was a bummer. The price was reasonable, though, and the corn was a nice snack amidst the samples from other vendors at the event. read more

I've dined in here many times when it was Atrias and two times now that it's juniper grill. Both times were great experiences! And both times I ordered my favorite menu item- the crab cake salad. The crab cake is so so good and the wasabi dressing is the best. Their cornbread croutons are incredible as well. I really love their chicken tortilla soup as well. I'll be back for sure! read more

The new Juniper Grill location opened about a month ago and tonight, we had our Christmas dinner for my Bunco group tonight. We had 13 of us plus a baby in a highchair and we were seated at 2 separate tables (kind of a bummer but maybe they don't do long tables like some places do?) We did have a reservation. Not sure. We had two servers plus a trainee. They were all awesome. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were delicious. The portions were large enough that I have lunch in my fridge for tomorrow. I ordered Sarris ice cream for dessert. I didn't try any cocktails but others at my table did. The consensus was that the Espresso martini was delish. My meal with tip was under $30 so I'd say it was reasonably priced. I'll definitely return. read more

My wife and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary last Saturday, June 6, at Juniper Grill in Pleasant Hills. It was a fantastic time. Tonight's dinner of fish tacos were terrible-- fish was very dry consisted of one slice of fish per taco and both pieces were overcooked. I really couldn't eat the fish because of the dryness. Went here the Monday before Christmas Eve and it was fairly empty, but it was also newly opened and people were traveling for the holiday. Sat at the bar was greeted and had an old-fashioned and waited for my friend to join got the French onion dip, which was their feature appetizer while I waited it was phenomenal. The staff was super nice however, I think the bartender got a little overwhelmed. However, she apologized for the delay in getting our orders and we honestly didn't care because we weren't in a hurry. When our food came, it was delicious and delightful. I definitely recommend juniper grill in pleasant hills if you want upscale dinning with a more casual experience. read more

My husband and I have been here several times, always excellent food and service. Beautiful inside, cool vibe. We came for a late lunch today, welcoming staff, good wine. But the reuben! What the hell?? Instead of thinly sliced corned beef it was cut into chunks. Who thought this was a good idea?? Terrible. Will be back, just don't order the reuben. Had a fabulous time at Juniper Grill on Sunday this past weekend- I felt like I had to leave a review! The food was impeccable. I got shrimp tacos, and they were the best shrimp tacos I have had in a long time. My dad got the Cheddar Burger, in which he very much enjoyed! My sister got the Rotisserie Chicken, which was moist and super delicious. We all shared the Brisket Quesadilla - we loved the cilantro crema on there and the seasoning was just fantastic. We also savored every bite of the Chocolate Torte. This restaurant is a MAJOR win all around! I thought they were going to have to carry me out! lol The new look to the restaurant really feels upscale and luxurious. Such a nice environment to treat yourself to a night out with friends or on a date! Service was also superb! They really took care of us! read more

Although I really miss the Atria's that was at this location, my daughter and I had lunch at Juniper Grill today. The restaurant was packed, which was good to see. Decorated beautifully for the Christmas holidays and the service was very good. I have to say I'm not a super fan of the southwestern food, but the food was decent. I had the vegetarian enchiladas and had to ask for corn tortillas. Not sure why American restaurants default to flour. Fortunately, I was accommodated, and the enchiladas were very tasty. My daughter had the fish tacos which she liked. We agreed that the side rice and beans were lacking in flavor. Overall nice spot for lunch, but I miss Atria's. We took our older parents there for special occasions and the new menu won't suit their tastes. read more

Recent dinner with large party. First point, the two servers were excellent, pleasant and attentive, 5 stars. But if I could give my entree negative stars I would. After an extraordinarly long wait from the kitchen on a night it was NOT busy, we all finally were served dinner. I got a Santa Fe quinoa bowl with BBQ brisket. First, although its called a quinoa bowl, THERE WAS NO QUINOA. ZERO. Not one morsel. Just a few veggies and black beans, a small pile of cheese, grocery store tortilla strips and some meat. Ah, the meat. No seasoning whatsoever, bland, tasteless, zero BBQ flavor. An unappetising gray color, not fully or properly cooked, and filled with partially cooked fat. I ate one strip because I was so hungry but couldn't stomach the rest. Left them in the bowl. Hands down the worst brisket I ever had, and I have had a lot. Decided not to send the dish back, as we had already waited an hour after ordering. In fairness, my dinner companions said their stuff was good. read more

We as in two people, we seemed to always be seated in a room that was an add on from the original inner dining area and it is uncomfortably loud. This is the part where groups seem to be seated and yet they have couple seating also. No tables in the main room. The food was just okay nothing special and a very small menu. My husband got a chicken pot pie and all it was was a puddle of liquid with one piece of chicken, about eight peas, and like two pieces of carrot and it was like soup. NO wait soup it thicker. THE "SHORT RIB" IS CHUCK! The service was very good. The waitresses handled our large party and split checks no problem. The ambiance is nice, upscale casual. The shrimp tacos and prickly pear marg were quite good. HOWEVER The "short rib" is clearly chuck roast. Most people might not know the difference but I'm certain the chef and proprietor do. $24 is a fine price for short rib but well overpriced even for very good chuck. I placed a to go order today. The server even repeated it back to me. Because one of the items was a cheddar burger she asked me how I wanted it and I told her medium. When the family member I sent to pick up the order got there, the worker the person getting the order kind of gave them a hard time, saying they didn't have the order, or then they said they didn't have any to go order that had a burger in it. I guess they sorted it out and found my order but for whatever reason the burger was not put in my order, so one of my family members didn't get to get to eat dinner - and your restaurant didn't really do anything to remedy the situation. They just said they didn't charge me for it and that they could make a burger and have them wait but if they would pay for it. At that point, I think that the restaurant should've just made the missing order and comped us for the inconvenience. I've had other service problems there in the past so I'm not sure I'll be going back there or ordering to go. read more

My wife and I were invited to the soft opening for dinner on Sunday, October 6th. The transformation from Atria's to Juniper Grill is breathtakingly amazing! The new color scheme is light and welcoming. The stone work along the patio wall is intricately placed providing vibrant contrast to the new interior. Our meal started with a delicious appetizer of Brisket Quesadilla, exceptional! For dinner I had the Chipotle Skirt steak with Yukon Gold potatoes. The steak was a perfect medium seasoned to perfection. The potatoes were light and buttery. My wife tried the Chicken Enchiladas and savored every bite. It was accompanied by black beans and brown rice. For dessert we had the Vanilla Crème Brûlée. The flavor of the hand shaved vanilla beans took the dish to another level. It was a wonderful meal with great service from a dedicated team of hosts, servers and mixologists! We will be back for dinner on Friday!
