Both are now healthy but we spent over $1400 on vet bills and medication and Puppy Heaven / the Support@PuppyHeaven.com will not contact us back so that we can be reimbursed for the sick puppies. I have made complaints to the Nevada Consumer Affairs, Nevada Attorney General, and the BBB, and I am going to do a complaint to the Nevada Department of Agriculture.

This comes after our previous appointment where we sat waiting nearly 25 minutes past our scheduled time just to get our dog checked in. What's especially frustrating is that this business is extremely strict about requiring rabies vaccination records for new clients -- which is completely understandable and responsible -- yet somehow they don't actually keep those records on file afterward. So now that we're going elsewhere, they can't even provide us a copy of the records we already submitted. At this point, it just feels incredibly disorganized from a management/ownership standpoint. Two appointments in a row have either been significantly delayed or outright canceled, and there doesn't seem to be much regard for customers' time or convenience. Thankfully, there are plenty of groomers to choose from, so this really isn't the end of the world. It's just an odd way to run a business if the goal is to attract and retain loyal customers.

One of the owners was on premises at the time of our visit and we had a lovely conversation about a few products my friend had purchased there many years prior, and how the craftsmanship and durability has proven to be above average and a good investment. After Logan's appointment, I was given what Vetco staff told me was a potassium supplement. A few days later, I noticed the bottle was actually labeled Vitamin K-1. My regular veterinarian later confirmed that Vitamin K-1 is not potassium and instructed me to stop giving it immediately. To be fair, the chemical symbol for potassium is "K," so perhaps this was an honest mistake. Nevertheless, dispensing the wrong medication to a pet with a serious medical condition is completely unacceptable. What was equally disappointing was the response afterward. Because Vetco only operates certain days of the week, I contacted the store and asked to speak with the general manager. Instead, I was connected with a merchandising supervisor because the GM, Charlene, was unavailable. I explained that I would stop by the store in person to discuss the medication mix-up. When I arrived, I was told Charlene was in a video meeting with her district manager until 11:00 a.m. and could not make any accommodation to speak with me. The apparent lack of urgency surrounding a medication error involving a customer's pet was shocking. Mistakes can happen, but accountability and concern should follow. Based on both the medication mix-up and the store's response, I will not be returning to this location.
