Not once did they recommend or even mention changing her diet, which ended up being the biggest factor in her recovery. That alone makes me seriously question their expertise. Out of desperation, I drove five hours to a veterinarian in Mexico. On the very first visit, they changed her diet, prescribed two medications and a medicated shampoo, and THE TOTAL COST WAS ONLY $160. Within a week, I saw a dramatic improvement. Based on my experience, I can't recommend Petco Veterinary. I spent thousands chasing treatments that didn't work when another vet found a solution almost immediately.

Today, our appointment was canceled with roughly 15 minutes notice -- which of course we didn't even receive because we were already driving to the appointment when they called. This comes after our previous appointment where we sat waiting nearly 25 minutes past our scheduled time just to get our dog checked in. What's especially frustrating is that this business is extremely strict about requiring rabies vaccination records for new clients -- which is completely understandable and responsible -- yet somehow they don't actually keep those records on file afterward. So now that we're going elsewhere, they can't even provide us a copy of the records we already submitted. At this point, it just feels incredibly disorganized from a management/ownership standpoint. Two appointments in a row have either been significantly delayed or outright canceled, and there doesn't seem to be much regard for customers' time or convenience. Thankfully, there are plenty of groomers to choose from, so this really isn't the end of the world. It's just an odd way to run a business if the goal is to attract and retain loyal customers.

Petco - tropical My…read morehusband and I went to Petco on Tropical hoping to find a Syrian hamster. The first time that we went we had a gentlemen help us and he was extremely knowledgeable about hamsters and just animals in general. We talked with him for a good five minutes. We didn't find a hamster the first time, but we came back a couple of weeks later. This time a woman helped us and she let us interact with all of the Syrian hamsters - and there were like 20 of them. Finally, after going to pet store after pet store - we finally found our new hamster. He's a black and white Syrian that we've named Mario. He has a huge cage/house. He seems to be really happy with the set-up. We've had dwarf hamsters in the past and we both had Syrian hamsters when we were young. He's burrowed straight into our hearts and we are proud to call him family! Kudos to Petco on Tropical! You made our family that much more richer for our new family member! Also, the store was clean, the cages were clean, the animals were all healthy, the service was paced just right for us - not too fast, not too slow. We got all of our questions answered and they made sure that Mario was going to a good home. Thank you!
