Jones Feed is the kind of place you keep going to out of loyalty, not love. I've spent years overlooking the "meh" service, weird energy, and the occasional awkward encounter--chalked it up to the quirks of a family-run business. I figured, hey, support local, right? Wrong. Yesterday made it crystal clear that not every family member should be customer-facing--or anywhere near a customer, honestly. What I saw (and personally experienced) was aggressive, unprofessional behavior that would get someone fired on the spot at literally any other place of business. I've spent a lot of money here over the years, but I've finally realized something: local or not, a business still has to deserve my business. Jones Feed doesn't. Good luck to the next customer. What a hidden gem! A gas station, convenience store, and a feed and tackle store all wrapped into one. If you have a pig, dog, horse, chicken, and pretty much whatever, you can find good stuff and food here. The prices are below other feed and tackle stores I've been to including Petco. They also have specialty treats my dog loves like duck hearts, pig snouts and novelties like that .The two women that are always running the shop are so funny and will get you out of there so quick. If you have animals to take are of, I definitely recommend this place. read more

Im a Las Vegas native. Been shopping at Jones since I was a kid. Haven't bought chicks from them in years. Yesterday we bought 4 Easter egger chicks. First: the pens are dim, and the conditions are not great. We got them home and could see one was struggling. She passed last night. I called Jones Feed this morning and though the cashier was polite, I was told nothing would be done. No refund, no store credit, no thank you for your business. Zero empathy. I told them im a 45 year customer. They did not care. This makes zero sense. At least she passed with warmth and no stress. I will not go back to be treated like a consumer, not a customer. We regular drop hundreds of dollars a month in feed. I will be taking my dollars elsewhere. I would call on you to think twice before spending any of your hard earned money here. And do NOT buy the chicks. The others are doing alright but all 4 had feces caked on their feet from the cages. Jones, do better. At least for your chicks. They deserve better. I am happy that I found Jones Feed & Tack. Had to come and get Rooster Feed and hay and found so much more. What amazing customer service. I can't tell you how much I learned about everything I was there for from the help I received when there. They have something there for every and any animal you might have. The store is super clean and they are following all covid rules to ensure everyone is safe . They also have there own gas station to gas up before you leave. They have hay or straw for sale as well. Any kind of dog food. Alpaca food, anything for your horse and so many other animals. This is a family owned business and the best part about it is that they make you feel like part of that family. This place is absolutely awesome.... They have the good food for dogs, cats , horses, and probably all the creatures you might need to feed.

This store caters to all types of different animals, so if there is something you need, this place will probably have it. I like the fact that they offer the dog food we like to buy for our dogs, and it does come in a variety of different sizes, too. I wish there was a better selection on dog treats because I found the selection to be scarce. The prices aren't bad for the treats they did have. Depending on what you're looking for, Petco or Chewy could be a better option. It's the convenience of getting everything in a one-stop shop that makes the experience better, so hopefully, they will carry more dog treats in the future. I will say the customer service is very "blah." We have to constantly remind the cashier to add our purchases under our phone number because you're supposed to get a free bag of food after you pay for so many bags. We just try to get our stuff and get out. It's an okay place for what we need. read more

I love love love this business. The North location has almost everything you need for your dogs, cats, horses, birds, and a little for you too. The staff at this location are a dream. Not sure what is the issue with the South location, but I don't feel as welcomed and supported when I go there. It almost feels discriminatory which is why I gave the 4 stars. Place has the worst customer service ever. I was told I could not use a cart for moving my 50 pound bags of food. That I would have to carry them to the front. Alisa I believe is her name or Alisa, is a terrible person and shouldn't be working here. why even have all of these carts sitting here next to the food bags if I can't use them. I bought a bag of rice bran at the store on Lone Mtn, it was moldy. I took it back, showed them the mold, but because I didn't have the receipt they would not exchange it for a new bag. I was able to verify the charge on my bank account. The person at the register was rude. They have had several bags returned just from our barn so they know they had a bad shipment. She said she called the manager but he said no too. Not the first time they have been lacking in customer service but I let it go before. Now I say, DO NOT shop here, why take a chance at getting bad feed. Hope the $30 bag of feed was worth a bad review. read more

I've been to this store several times and always found it to be a great place with a good variety of products However today I had a dog bed that had a price tag of $24.99 but it rang up as $33.99 The cashier was fine but the other lady at the front counter came over was very rude -came over and declared the price was wrong she removed the sticker and would not honor the price. Apparently per the lady they have an employee who was not properly marking items - I of course did not purchase it. I understand they may have issues with a staff member but the price should be honored and the lady did not have to be so rude and agitated May rethink going to that store and drive to the one on Vegas Blvd read more

Beware! The owner is a scam artist! Google Maps will show you his building for the firewood 'store' next to it and this guy has worked Google's error into a money maker for himself by taking advantage of people. He'll give you a third of the firewood you were expecting and refuse to refund your money when you realize what just happened and you haven't even left his store yet. Obviously does this all the time. Unscrupulous jerk wouldn't even offer store credit. Lived here over forty years, he takes the cake. read more

Items have inconsistent quality, aren't always in stock, and don't always have a price listed. They have spontaneously stopped carrying products on multiple occasions - including feed and medicine/supplements. The employees in the front consistently treat customers with disregard. They know nothing about what they sell. The staff have poor communication skills, both with customers and with each other. Jones is unreliable and unprofessional. Jones sold me a sick turkey poult with a bad URI and didn't offer to refund, exchange, or treat but they would sell me meds. I treated her as soon as I realized and she died this morning after I did everything I could to save her. I cannot say how great a store and the people are. We went to buy some supplies for our two horses arriving soon and the staff were very patient with us, explained everything we needed to know about foods and quantities to buy. I love supporting my local businesses and I have been going to this location for YEARS and will continue to go for my dog food, but not if I need and type of customer service. With the coming of summer, I went in to buy the metered fly spray we use on the patio. I didn't see it on the shelf so I asked and got a very "you're bothering me" attitude from the lady behind the counter. Went in again yesterday and still didn't see it so I asked (the same lady). I practically had to drag information out of her. She was clearly very bothered that I was asking anything! As far as I can tell, this is not a self serve store, but the attitude of the people that work there make me question whether it's worth my time to go back in. The older Hispanic lady working behind the counter is a reason I will never be back. She aggressively yelled at me about the stores return policy, saying there isnt one for the product I bought- because the store doesn't get credit back for it. She stepped away and called the store manager, and returned a moment later to say I am able to get store credit. The only reason I bought the food was because the kind lady who helped me a few days prior, said I would be able to return/exchange it because I have a picky cat. I appreciated the understanding from the first lady, but the older lady I had an encounter with today will be a reason this place has decreased business. Looking from other Yelp reviews, I'm not the only one who feels this way. Okay so this is the second time I've tried to use a manufacturer coupon here the first one was for $3 and I've been turned away. This time before I went I called because it was for $90 and even spoke to Bob who said come on down he's in charge of the coupons and it was okay. When I got there I grabbed my product and headed to the counter. She called Bob and have said he mis heard me. We spent 3 minutes on the phone he didn't mishear me. Why even bother if you know the answer is no? I wasn't going to buy it anyway which is what I think they thought. So they called the owner and she said we can't take it they're waiting for a representative. I also contacted the product manufacturer to let them know they have places selling their products but not taking their coupons they sent to me directly. I hope they pull it from their shelves. It's not cheap either. So unless you just going to grab something I wouldn't go. The small local vibe isn't cutting it for me. read more

If you're a glutton for punishment, come to this dirty store with surly front desk cashiers. They strut around like hens in the yard, pecking at customers and swatting away the hordes of flies in between smoke breaks. These women lord over their slovenly and cluttered counters rarely offering any help to customers, unless they're male. They also lack any common sense, intellect or competence. When I spent hundreds only to have an inexpensive item missing from my bag, I called them. What I got in between being hung-up on and hearing another front desk person scream at another displeased customer was, "She put it there. Bye." Wow. I remember when the Jones family started out and the courtesy and help we got but today who knows who oversees this band of misfits and their sneery, smoke stained grins. In this case, the front desk was correct and I did eventually find my item, but that doesn't discount the frequent poor customer service, which is why I won't be returning. The only redeeming area are the feed guys who work hard and remain pleasant. With prices on-par with other establishments, there's no reason to get feed, tack, or any other sundries from this run-down janky joint. Avoid unless you're a sadist. read more
