I have not found a better selection of all types of exotic animal feed at this place unfortunately they don't have a large selection of dog food as you would find in a Petsmart but their prices are more reasonable and the service is unbelievable. Love this store. I usually go there other store closer to North Las Vegas but was in this side of town. Plenty of parking at this location. Store hours are posted on the door and have changed for the holidays . They are following covid guidelines for masks and for customers to keep there 6 ft of distance. This store like the other is always stocked snd has such a variety of things for all pets. There prices are competitive and the help is super helpful. I also like that the store is extremely clean. The do not have there live chicks there for sale during the winter time I was told only during the summer and fall time. They do have dog grooming there as well. They had a 4lb bag of cat food listed for $19.99. Went to check out and it was $22.99. Gave huge attitude when I ask why would you list it at $19.99 then try to charge more at the register. This is our go to place when buying dog food for our little furry guy! They have a great selection of dog food and a variety of 28 pound bags of Taste of the Wild flavors, including ones for small breeds! They have a customer loyalty program where you buy 10 bags of dog food and get the 11th one free! Just be sure to have them set up a customer file for you! The customer service here is always top notch!! We are always greeted, even if the employee is somewhere at the back of the store and we don't see them. At the register, they have a stash of organic dog treats (which are cookies with a handful of simple ingredients that humans can eat and they actually taste like regular human cookies, haha). You can bring your dogs inside and our little guy always gets spoiled with the delicious organic cookies they give him! Buyer be aware. Price listed on items are lower than the price in their computer system. Purchased salt rock for my horse. When I got home noticed the sticker was $15.99 but was charged $24.99. Went back to the store and checked all the salt rocks and every single one was marked $15.99. I showed my receipt and tag to the clerk and she called the owner. If your reading this now I pass on knowledge from the highest levels to ensure that your and my furry pets get the proper nutrients and nutrition from their food. One cannot forget all the treats we buy too for the in between times. These treats are needed to help spoil our puppies and keep us trained! Having shopped at this pet store a few times prior, last night I wanted something healthier for my older dog, she is 10 years old. Her health is of the utmost importance to me! She only is fed grain free organic dog food, but it's her treats that I discovered are loaded with unhealthy additional additives. I could be feeding Sugarbaby floor cleaner, since I cannot pronounce some of the ingredients on the bag. I was chatting with the store employees and they passed on some tips I was unaware of. Names of these amazing employees slip by me, but the female individual said: "raw hide is bad for your dogs health." All ears, she continued to explain, "the raw hide gets stuck in the dogs throat and is hard to digest. Plus some brands of rawhide are "not really rawhide," so please be careful with your pets treats!" These employees concern has won them a customer for life. Today on my trip to the store, I had my older furry puppy, she was more than happy to accompany me. We were seeking puppy treats that are a healthier choice. The selection of treats that they keep in stock for dogs is extensive. The brands vary from Blue Buffalo which is pricey, around $8.00 a bag. I found some delicious looking treats that caught my attention as well, I believe that it was the red of the bag. The brand is Pro PAC which is a holistic company from the Midwest that makes treats for active dogs. The store employees were more than happy to share their opinions with me about the treats quality. It's was a wonderful thumbs up. As the puppy and I continued to browse the store the puppy got the scent of the many varieties of bones that are available here for sharpening their teeth. Sugarbaby is all dog when it comes to bones and she was putting her nose so close to the display that she selected the bone she wanted. It was a piece of a cow hoof, and it is dried authentic cow. They selections of different bones that are available here for our puppies is so extensive. They have something for everyone. The store employees were super friendly and pointed out the most popular bone which is duck head. I was intrigued by this discovery. While pleasantly surprised to know that a duck heads appearance was exactly what was advertised. I held off on the duck purchase this time although! Tack and feed stores come and go, but this is a fantastic representation of a small building that feeds literally the local community. By giving my business to this "local" business and supporting this feed store it helps immensely. It is the tie that binds, and that keeps us together such as our Vegas Strong message conveys.The Vegas Strong movement is not only in Nevada, but has spread to other communities. It is this connection that ties allows a small business to be successful and operate freely. I'm not badgering big box stores but they are all uniformed and never change. This tack and feed store gives local smaller businesses a place to sell their products. This is just an example the variety of brands is so much better than larger box stores. Their merchandise is of the highest quality and their prices are great. The business passes on their ethics and values to help their customers because they matter. When you need some feed for your larger animals such as cow and horses, this should be your first and only choice. Bunnies, goats, and chickens come on down. For us that have boring domesticated mammals such as dogs and cats they will treat you right every time. The quality and quantity of their merchandise available is extensive. The employees are so friendly and will go beyond themselves to assist you. If you seek something they do not have then, just ask. They might be able to get items you seek, since they control the ordering of merchandise in the store. The food is fantastic and for us "weird animal lovers," we want the best for them. Dog training leash as I have been looking everywhere in town for one and was able to find a great selection at the store. I saw there were some good reviews with great customer service and I'm jealous. I wish I was treated similarly. I came in to get some dog food and paid 95$ for two bags. There was a girl cashier and she was very unfriendly and abrasive. She was not helpful at all. I left without thinking much of it. However, I realized I bought the wrong brand for my brothers dogs and went back an hour later to EXCHANGE for the right brand (not refund). I was literally in the store an hour ago and had my receipt. She refused. She did not tell me about this policy before purchasing nor was it written anywhere. She claimed it was because of the COVID19 crisis. I wasn't panic buying and trying to return it months later, I was trying to exchange for a different brand. I'm a medical student with limited funds and just wanted to get the right brand for my families dogs. We're all going through the same thing and a little kindness goes a long way. read more

The ONLY reason I'm giving this place 5 stars instead of 2 is because of Tyler the hay guy. I came in for some hay and the girl with the colored hair made me feel like I was bothering her because I had a few questions. Good customer service skills are kind of important when you work in customer service and she had NO customer service skills what so ever. She could have at least faked it! Anyway, that pretty much ruined my whole experience until she sent me to go see Tyler. He was sweet , helpful and had answers to all my questions. And the icing on the cake was his great smile. He totally turned the whole experience around for me and made me want to go back because if it weren't for him I would never would. Too bad we found this place late. We were always going to Petco but I wish I knew about this place first. First of all they welcome any pets in the store that's including my monster of a pitbull that likes to take whatever he wants off the shelves. The staff is super friendly and understanding that animals are animals. You can save a large amount of money here by getting your pets shots done here instead of at the vet. This is where we messed up because we spent a lot of money at the vet. They are very knowledgeable about the food and knowledgeable with picky animals. So far they have the best prices on dog food better than on the Internet or other stores. They sell hay bales as well for those of you that have horses. :) read more

I was surprised by this pet store. I was greeted immediately by the staff. They have Blue dog food for my Chihuahua. I was thinking of switching to Orijen dog food. I can't get it anywhere in Las Vegas except online. I prefer not to order my pet's food online. Jones Feed Pets & Tack actually carries it! I am really amazed! They also carry Nulo (not to be confused with Nutro) and other hard to find brands. Their prices are definitely better than Pet Smart or Petco.! Support your local business. First time I went there a month ago was great, so helpful. This time, I come in with my baby to get some pine pellets. Last time they carried it out for me as they are very heavy, (40 POUNDS) and I had a stroller. This time, I come in and see two associates, a brunette and a redhead. Noone talks to me. I go get the pellets and hoist it up on my shoulder and stagger/approach the counter to pay. The grumpy redhead assists me. Then , she silently watches me hoist it back up on my shoulder as I prepare to stagger/approach the doors. I actually had to tell her she needs to get the door for me. Keep in mind, I am also pushing a stroller as usual. Finally at the door, I collapse under the weight of the bag and throw it down and I have had it so I snapped at her, "At what point were you going to give me any assistance? They carried it out for me last time!" She said she was the only one there. NO. I saw TWO staff in there. Matter of fact, as I finally get to my car, I look back over and whaddya know, the brunette is ducking out with a cold drink in hand and going off for a break I guess. I will never go here again as if you can't carry a big bag, Jones won't help you. Too bad if you are pregnant, have a baby, are older and frail etc. Nope. I had 4 bags with what I think are some kind of bugs/ weevils in them. Kept going back as I didn't want to switch their brand of dog food, thinking maybe it was getting into my storage container somehow. After the fourth time, I stopped going and went to another dog supply store on Eastern. And guess what?? 20 bags later, no weevils. If you love your dog, don't get their food here. read more

I am very upset and I highly highly doubt that I will return to this store. I frequent this store often, to purchase my dogs needs. The first irritating issue was that I was just informed (about a week ago) about their rewards program the time before this BECAUSE I over heard the cashier tell someone else about it and I have been buying items from them for a while and could have been taking advantage of this incentive......I let that go......now I go into the store to buy food for my pets and the cashier Julie was scanning my cans of food and I informed her about the price difference because the computer was charging me more than what price was on the can....her response was that her coworkers must have labeled it wrong and so I asked, well that's what's on there so can I get it at that price....she said no because her owner will be really upset (not those words, she had other words). I dont believe I will ever support or purchase any more items from this store due to my bad experience 2 times. I will drive farther just to get better customer service experience (even though this store is 2 minutes from me). I hope they get their actions together to provide a better experience for other or new customers. I found everything I needed at this store(Las Vegas blvd) and very easy to get to!!! It was far beyond my expectations!!! The best Organic food for my dog "Kelsey" at the cheapest prices, Hay for my horses, and great brands on everything!!! Most of all the staff is incredible!!!(which is hard to find) a man named Ryan helped me load hay into my car for 20 min(they accept tips, so no matter if they turn you down, tip them)!!!! The manager Julie was so helpful, and taught me how to pick out just what I needed!!! My dog has a slight allergy and since she has started eating this new food Julie suggested she has been perfect!!! What a great staff and great company!!!! The best feed store I have ever been to.
