Unfortunately, the experience was terrible for the following reasons: 1. On the page under "Massage Enhancements - Epsom Foot Soak" the business promises an Epsom Foot Soak for new clients to enjoy while they fill out paperwork. I arrived 15m before my appointment and asked about the foot soak. The receptionist was not at the desk, so the question was posed to a massage therapist who showed up and said that the receptionist was preparing it. I was given paperwork to fill out which I did without the aforementioned foot soak. 2. When I was shown to the massage room, the foot bath was there, and I asked whether the 15m foot soak would be counted as part of my massage. The therapist, Anita, left the room for 10m (part of my massage time now) and came back to say that the foot soak would not be offered. Instead she said she would add on a paraffin treatment for my hands and feet. 3. The actual "deep tissue" massage was a lot of petting and short superficial strokes. She did identify and dig in deeper to sore glut muscles which helped relieve some tension, but it was not the deep tissue massage I had expected, and she did not address my primary concern (bursitis). 4. She ended the massage after 50 minutes (minus the time she left the room). 5. She never followed through with the promise of a paraffin treatment. Even though I was offered a discount, I left more stressed than I arrived. This is not the way to treat anyone. Never promise something you can't deliver.

I turn down the wine service they offer, in favor of water or tea. I've seen Max now a few times, and he's great. Gets down to business, not too light, not too deep, comfortable working in quiet, responsive to requests and has a great energy to create and hold a space where you can just relax and let him do all the work. Whether I just need to relax and recenter, or if I'm coming in with certain complaints, I always leave in a much better state than I arrived, and the benefits don't usually fully roll around until the next day. And two words: HOT STONES. Yes, please!! Part of the regular service (not an add-on like at some places). The blankets on the tables are so soft and heavy, the bedding is in nice shape (so many places keep them until the are pilly, scratchy messes) and the environment is super serene and relaxing. At my last completed appointment, both of our nail techs were so far behind that I had to leave my mom there to finish her service while I went to pick up my daughter from her after school program. For added context: our appointments were booked to start at 4 and I had to pick my daughter up by 6 and we both got fills with gel polish. We should have had plenty of time before I had to pick up my kid. I had booked an appointment with my preferred tech for this past Saturday. On Thursday, the salon texted me to let me know the tech wouldn't actually be working on Saturday and I was rescheduled to Monday. On Monday I decided to take my daughter with me for a manicure. Once again, my preferred nail tech had someone else in her chair at my appointment time. My daughter was taken to a station for her manicure and about 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment start time I was informed that my nail tech had to leave early for a family emergency. I was offered another tech, which I declined. Then I was taken to the counter to see when my preferred tech had another opening. The soonest is this Saturday and I declined that as well, because Monday was already a stretch for my grow out. Don't misunderstand, I am not upset about the family emergency. I hope everything is ok for her and her family. However, if I had been sitting in her chair at my scheduled appointment time, I would have received the service I booked. My mom has also experienced long waits for her scheduled appointments. My issue isn't with the people who work there, everyone has always been kind. My issue is that we've been consistent customers and we book our appointments in advance with the staff we want doing our nails, only to be pushed back by walk-ins. Ultimately, my mom and I decided to seek nail care elsewhere. Annie, we wish you and the salon the best, especially with your growth.
