The Salon is always clean and smells great; no overpowering chemical smells to burn your nose hairs. Staff are always available to help you set up an appointment over the phone or as a walk in. Though I would warn you that certain stylists are very popular and if you are attempting a walk in for one of them, it may not be the best idea. I would suggest an appointment personally, just in case they are slammed. Conversations around the shop are always funny; the girls have a snarky sense of humor that goes well with mine. The overall atmosphere is upbeat and positive. My daughter's hair has been cut as a walk in basis when I've set up my own appointments, and she's been seen by several of the stylists. There has been not a single bad cut on her head. Each and every stylist is a true artist and very good at what they do. When I have enough time, I set up an appointment with the resident Massage Therapist. Angeleet Betts is the most skilled masseuse I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. If I could, I would see her weekly. She has perfected the art of firm enough to actually get the knots out without hurting even a bit. I highly recommend Allure to anyone and everyone. The place was a large work space with a comfy facial bed. One thing that I noticed, there weren't a great amount of machines and other types of gear I've seen in other salons. The workspace was very clean. She was on time and delivered the full hour. She was really a hands on professional. I've been in some salons where there was very little massage done on the face utilizing masks to a greater degree. Here, she really used much facial massage in addition to a mask. Personally I found that infinitely more rewarding. Even though the masks had had a great effect in appearance and results, I desperately missed the facial massage. While the mask that she used was doing its job, she massaged shoulders, arms, and hands. What I enjoyed as well was she didn't try to sell me a bunch of products. She was very clear what she used and why. I was extremely happy with not only the fact she spoke to a reasonable degree, but she allowed the experience to be the relaxing, pampering, and rejuvenating time it was designed to deliver. The music was instrumental in producing this effect. She was down to earth, and very professional. I would return, definitely.
