First of all, this place charges a cover of 20 -czk per person, which really surprised me, because I've lived here for 2 and a half years, and I've never been charged a cover in a czech restaurant outside of Mala Strana.
Secondly, the food took forever. We were waiting for almost 40 minutes. Although the duck tasted great, the goulash was not so impressive. The meat was all fat, none of it was edible. I know this is common for beef goulash, but I've had goulash at potrefena husa and the meat is above and beyond! But back to V Naplavni, the meat was unedible, not to forget to mention BURNT along with the potato pancakes...maybe that was what was taking the food to arrive so slowly?
I would definitely recommend ANY other place in Prague for czech food before this one. read more
