What a great salon! First time going. Usually go to their "sister salon" "Century Nails" and they were too busy. They took me in (we're open about 20 min before 930 on a Saturday which was great!) I needed to be in and out quickly as had plans with friends for the day. They asked me and I was out 5 min before I needed to be. As you can see in the photo (orange with flower design) nails they did in an hour. They were quick, nice to speak with AND the tech did an AMAZING job on the design I wanted on my smaller nails. I walked in for a gel manicure and waited for 40 minutes Two sets of two customers walked in after me and got attended to immediately ... maybe return customers? They did not have an appointment An hour into a simple manicure I had to leave so I asked if they could just do my removal and they trim my cuticles and charged me $30 If you don't have time for customers, you should honestly ask them to return instead of wasting their time! read more

Holly and her team are amazing! Great service, creative design and the longest-lasting nails ever! I even take my 91 year old dad for pedicures( more fun than a visit to the podiatrist!) and he loves all the ladies who work on his toes with such love and care. I highly recommend this salon! read more

I just want to say if you're looking to get a long full set DO NOT GO HERE. They started on my full set 2:30pm didn't leave this shop till 5:20pm. I've gotten long full sets for years never in my life have I experienced such bad service not only are my Nails so bad they had me wait so long in between each thing they were doing to my nails and on top of that I still paid $225. This shop does not do long full sets. Do not go to them even if they say they know how they do not. read more

Love them. Everybody who works here does a great job. I'm pretty sure I usually have the owner and she's always so quick and awesome. Does exactly what I want w any tweaks and changes I want done. Not sure who I had today but she was amazing. Post the last few ones I got here and there always spot on. Prices are great too! Thank you guys! They even open on Sunday until 730 and take you right up until then. Won't be going anywhere else anytime soon! can't find all the sets I've gotten but they're always great lol read more

Super disappointed with my last trip here. My sister and I went in on a Friday with an appointment at 2pm. They sat us in the pedicure chairs right away and then we waited for an hour. This was frustrating because we had an appointment, but it seemed like everyone else in there had one as well so i guess that didn't mean much. Finally someone got to us both and then they rushed through our pedicure in like 10 minutes. During my pedicure, they used this automatic callus remove (that looked like an industrial sander lol) and she cut my foot. It sucked. They then sat us at the nail bar and my sister and I waited for about 40 more minutes. The annoying part about this visit wasn't the waiting times though. The annoying part was that we waited that long only to have someone rush through our pedicure and manicure. They didn't cut my nails or file them and they didn't push or cut my cuticles. For some reason I thought a manicure included these things, but apparently it only included a color at this salon. Most likely won't try this place again. This is my sisters second time coming here and she had the same terrible experience last time. read more

Go see Holly ( the amazing owner ) at V Nails in North Tacoma. She does such an amazing job on my nails. I can go longer in between fills , and she always shapes them so well. I show her what design I want and she nails it every time. They all do amazing. Also the pedicures are the best hands down . They do a lot of massage which I love . read more

Worst experience ever. When you pay for a manicure don't they usually soak your nails, trim the dead skin off your cuticles and massage your hands? I got none of that. Plus my nail polish isn't covering my whole nail. I'll never go back to this place. read more

I really am happy I found this place! I had a deluxe lavender pedicure to relax it was $50 and pretty much the best $50 I've ever spent to treat myself! Very relaxing, the massage was great, hot stones are my favorite. I always get gel on my toes so it lasts longer I'm on week 3 they still look great! I also got a fill, I cannot remember the nail techs name but she made my nails look brand new! Re-shaped them the perfect coffin shape & length (some people make them too thick or too thin but literally they were PERFECT) she was even able to file down my real nail with a tool and they were pretty long, I've never had someone else do this which tells you they care about doing a great job not just taking your money. She cut my cuticles without me having to ask, my nails have never looked so great!! Definitely my new spot & worth the drive! My sister also got her nails done they look amazing too They have a great color selection also! read more

Ive been coming here for several months now and they are great. You can tell theyre wonderful as theyre often super busy and you have to wait a bit. Ive had pedicures, acrylics and dip nails done here and they have all been great. They offer a discount if you pay in cash and have a frequent customer card to save up for a reward. read more

It was ok at best. Holly did my fill and assured me she would "fix" everything wrong with my set. She did my fill and didn't even paint may nails to the side walls. I think I was most appalled when she left my manicure to go and do a pedicure while I was waiting. I was super confused. I'm not one to complain but this was crazy. read more

If I could do less than one star I would. First off I came in for a fill for the first time. She told me the only way to get helped right away was to get a pedicure first. Ok. That was ok. When I pay she tells me my total was 76.00! She charged me 50 dollars for a fill! Because "my nails were too long she had to fix." None of my nails were broken and it wasn't even that long since my set! 25.00 was what the sign said for a fill.... Now it's the next day and my nails look like shit.. paint coming off at the edges, bubbling. It's bad. Do not go here. read more

In a nutshell: terrible time management and inconsistent quality. I've been to this salon four times now for acrylics, adding pedicure on one trip, and this review encompasses all of those visits. If you call ahead for an appointment or show up during their slower times (I think earlier in the day), you'll probably be okay time-wise. However I highly discourage doing a walk-in, especially in the afternoon/evening. My last visit, I showed up an hour before close requesting a fill and a pedicure, and they said it would be about 20 minutes. After 45 minutes, they finally got me into the pedicure chair, and then they ended up not having time to do my fill - so they asked me to come back the next day! I would have left in the beginning and just made an appointment for another day if I'd known they couldn't get to everything. Today I went back for another fill, and despite being told "okay just a few minutes!" I waited a literal hour before anyone started working on my nails. And it took forever because the woman doing it was so distracted - twice she abruptly stopped, got up without saying anything, and went to work on other customers' pedicures! While I just sat there. It was so weird, and frustrating since I already had to wait so long. As for the quality, it's been a mixed bag for me. My pedicure was fantastic. My first full set there was also really nice. But I've also had two fills that were pretty lazy, including today's. It seems to just depend on who you get. The woman I had today, who was so distracted, was looking around the salon more than she was at my hands while she was working. As a result, she nicked my skin several times with the drill thing and didn't do a great job smoothing out the new acrylic. The finished product is lumpy. I will add, everyone here is super friendly. Even the woman who was so distracted today seems to remember people's names and is quick to greet people and stuff, and every other employee I've interacted with was great. I sympathize with managing a busy wait list, but it's just disappointing to repeatedly miss expectations like this. I probably won't go back. :( read more

First timer. Went on a Wednesday around 4pm, I called ahead and they said come in. There was a bunch of ladies there and was a little concerned about a wait but they .... - greeted me promptly. Which is always a plus. -in about 2-3 mins had someone come over and start the foil process to take my shellac off. -about 5-8 mins later, they had someone start. I decided to get the color changed shellac and loved it! A little note, the colors on the wheel is the one it will turn too when you're cold. -my gal didn't talk much but that doesn't bother me. -the massage was okay, not the best not the worst... So it was $30 in all which is about $5 over what I've normally paid. Overall I enjoyed it, they have a lot of customers whom they know by name which is a good sign. read more

After moving away to Lakewood, I just haven't found a nail salon that I like. I've tried about all the shops in Lakewood, but I always end up coming back here. I love how they shape my nails. Cindy is very meticulous with her work. For starters, she makes sure my nails are shaped correctly (many people will think it's straight or even, but she's on point). I never have to worry about my nails being shaped crookedly. (I got a gel manicure in the color #33 called "Luxe Beige"). I never thought much about the pedicures here, but... I had a recent experience from another nail salon.. I got theeee worst pedicure. The person who did my pedicure took care of the "almost" ingrown toenail. Needless to say, I was relieved. She gave an amazing foot and leg massage. I got the deluxe pedicure today (scrub, oil, mask, paraffin, and hot stone massage). read more

Let me start off by saying that I am a very respectful individual and work in customer service so I am the last one to ever be disrespectful or complain, however the First Lady that did my nails was very rude for no reason at all and did not even care to look at the picture for reference of what I wanted which was a very basic design. After she asked me if I was satisfied I told her I wanted the line thinner and longer on the side. She did nothing I asked and corrected nothing and was getting upset when I just simply asked for what I wanted. Tipped her 20$ anyways because I thought maybe she was having a bad day. Called to ask about getting them redone, lady told me she would fix for free and was kind. I came in to get them fixed and she told me it was $20. Very unprofessional to switch up and go from free (which I was planning on tipping her as well after she fixed my nails) and she demanded $20. I told her $15 is what I will give her because that was not okay for her to say it was free from the start if she wouldn't honor that. The ladies were being shady and saying slick things to other customers as well and I was very dumbfounded throughout this whole experience. I will not be returning to this place as neither will my other friends that have had the same horrible customer service. read more

I really enjoy this place. Not the cheapest but also not the most expensive! They all do pretty good. It's a solid regular place. Always busy! So don't come here if you are in a rush because they don't rush to accommodate more clients. Very thorough service in my experience. read more

I understand they were closing soon but they shouldn't accept appointments that late if they plan to rush the client out of the place. A few days into the nails and they started to lift. Wednesday the 20th two nails popped off perfectly with little effort. Almost every single other nail was lifting at the cuticle, my hair was getting caught in them and they were painfully lifting and I knew they wouldn't last much longer. I called La Bella today the 20th (so I only had the nails on for 6 days, to my knowledge builder gel can last up to 3-5 weeks). I called La Bella today asking for an appointment to get them fixed. The hostess that answered the phone was very nice and she told me they would most likely fix the nails for free because that was not supposed to happen. I went in tonight around 5pm at my scheduled appointment and I asked for dip nails instead because dip is what I was used to and I know they last. I was happy with my appointment the nail tech seemed to take her time and I loved my new nails. But I was very annoyed when I checked out when they tried to charge me the full price of dip nails which was 65 dollars. I asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation. He told me it was not acceptable that the nails only lasted 6 days. He said he would charge me $45 instead. I didn't fight or fuss and I paid the full price. I am extremely annoyed there was no communication that the previous hostess told me the nails would be on the house and I feel like as a business they should've fixed their mistake. I fully planned on tipping my nail tech a good tip for redoing my nails and ensuring they were a good set. I don't know if I will be back to La Bella because of this experience and it saddens me because I truly love this place.

But word is getting around that she's the best nail tech in Tacoma, and her reputation is well deserved! Tina works in a hair salon in downtown Tacoma, but she can also come to you. I've only been to the salon, but it's great--when I'm there, it's usually just me, her, and her adorable dog, so it's very mellow (you don't have to stress about a dozen other people chatting and getting their hair/nails done at the same time, like other salons). She gives great manicures and pedicures, and she is particularly well-known for her creative nail art. You can find many examples on Instagram. She even painted turkeys on my nails for Thanksgiving! As other people have commented, Tina is a wonderful person to know--she's friendly, energetic, positive, and caring. I especially admire that she volunteers as a "Nail Fairy" at the Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in her spare time. You can see that Tina has a devoted fan base--give her a try & you'll be impressed! Tip: She does all her booking through StyleSeat, a website/app for booking appointments. The app lets you see when she's available, so it's easy to find a time that works for you (I really appreciate her flexible weekend/evening hours). It also sends reminders via e-mail and text.

I've been to Tina's Traveling Nails twice and each experience was amazing. Plus everywhere I go, I receive compliments about my nails from the color to the shape. People always think my nails are acrylic, but they're the real deal thanks to Tina, genetics and vitamins. I really enjoyed how Tina took the time to inform me on how to take better care of my nails. Tina also provided me tips on how to make my nails grow longer and stronger. One would think that Tina's prices would be high since she is a traveling licensed manicurist, but her prices are really affordable. I use to get my nails done only once a month at other nail salons, but I go twice because of the affordability and the service is great.

I've been coming to Cindy's for 23 years, my first manicure was when I was 5 years old. I love them…read morelike family! They're more old fashion, but they take great care of you. They have these big black cushioned computer chairs but will find ways to make you feel comfortable. They have the pedicure buckets but their massages are next level. If you ask for water/juice/tea they bring it. And have a small tv that will typically have a good movie on! They are very detailed but if there's anything you want for your experience ask and they do it. As I got older there's trends I like and typically if I show them a photo they get really close. Another thing is time, they take care of every cuticle and your nails will go through some processes so it be may be more to the time consuming side. If you're in a rush let them know ahead of time. But a full set mani-pedi from them runs anywhere between 1-2.5 hours and about $70-90 without a tip (which use to be a lot less for the longest but they have to increase prices because competition and the economy). They are the most integral. Do sweet and actually care about their work. I might have special treatment but kindness goes a long way with them! Fills start at $40+ and fills run you about $25 flat (cash only)
