This pizza and sandwich restaurant located in the Hampton Inn in Gainesville also offers other comfort dishes. There is a large bar at the center of the dining room. We had a large pizza $17 with olives and mushrooms and a large Caesar salad $11 with a side of anchovies $2.50. Everything was good. Our server was very friendly and efficient.

I guess coming in around 4:30 gets you great service! I have been mesning to try their pizza, and today, it happened. I was greeted warmly and offered a menu. The guys by thr pizza ovens perked up, as I lnow they are doing prep work for dinner. My zabwould be freh and hot, and no waiting! I got the Delle Donne pizza, which means "from the women" in Italian. Chicken with pesto and ricotta sound deelish! It was! It doesn't seem like a lot of ricotta, when you first get it, but it is plenty!!! You almost have to found NY style to keep thr fluffs of cheesy goodness from falling off your slice! The sweet tea was good, not too much to slosh around in my stomach, just the right amount! I heard this place has good wings too, and drinks!

We came on a Friday night and were seated right away with quick service. The ambiance is very nice and feels almost fancy. We didn't check out the bar, but it appeared to be nice in that area as well! The pizza was the perfect size for two of us to split without feeling overly stuffed, and I really enjoyed the texture of the crust. It's thin and crispy but the edges have a nice softness to them inside. The toppings were all really good as well and they have many fun options!

What a fun place in downtown Gainesville! It was fun and bustling, but it's a Saturday night on a holiday weekend in a college town, to be expected. I went late, after 9 pm A lady who seems like one of the managers was sweeping at the entrance. As soon as I crossed the threshold, she approached, asked the number of my party and whether I was there to dine-in or takeout. When learning the former, she smoothly transferred me to the very capable Kaitlyn who brought me to a table in front of the kitchen and the screens showcasing the 2 different college basketball games And that's when I met Morgan, my server. That girl *hustles*! She took care of all 5 tables on my side of the restaurant, terrific attention - and memory. It was fascinating to watch; I tried to learn from her ability to multitask. No signs of ADHD here! I really liked that she gave thought to all questions when asked for recommendations, and she pivoted so quickly, just came back with a variety of containers, and remembered to add additional plastic utensils, a bag, a bottle of water when it became clear we'd have to take all the leftovers back to the hotel. As for the food: I liked it. One of the bad things abt going later in the evening is you run the risk of running out of things, and there were a lot of things I'd wanted to try: the sweet tea (blame the party of 45 ppl), the Italian wedding soup, and the bombolini (darn!) But we got the harvest salad, a custom ramped-up vegetarians (with add-ons like dbl mushrooms, black olives, bufala, and anchovies , and a terrific tiramisu. We were happy. Oh, and Morgan made a terrific Coke Zero with grenadine!

Their pizza is yummy but we didn't come for the pizza, we came for the drinks lol Holiday drinks that is! I got the peppermint expresso martini as my first one to go with the holiday theme and my 2nd one was a the traditional expresso martini, I would say the peppermint one was prettier but the regular expresso I liked better. They have a huge bar and it was FULL because everyone wanted to be at the bar! We had a great time here! It was lots of fun, definitely want to come back and enjoy it while eating pizza!

My family and I came here with my new roommate and her family after a long day of move in. We were all looking forward to a nice pizza dinner in downtown Gainesville. V Pizza makes Napoletana styled pizza a brick oven. They also have a variety of appetizers, salads, and other Italian fare. To start, the service was very slow, especially considering the fact that they weren't that busy. Our waiter had a hard time refilling our waters and communicating with us. The food took way too long to come out and we barely even saw our server. I will say the interior of the restaurant is fun and it had a decent, upbeat vibe about it. I will also not that parking may be tricky. To start, we ordered the Meatball San Marzano appetizer and the Napoletana Salad. This took about 30 minutes to arrive. The dish included 3 large 100% all natural meatballs, V San Marzano tomato sauce garlic, basil, grape tomato, and pecorino Romano. The meatballs were decent, but didn't blow us away. They were pretty standard, although the sauce had good flavor. The salad included Spring mix, grape tomato, cucumber, marinated artichoke, Fire Braised Chicken Breast, pepperoni, Shaved Italian Blend (Romano, Asiago, & Parmesan), and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This was fairly lack luster, it tasted like it was missing something and really missed the make because of that. We ordered our pizzas with our appetizers and had to wait an additional 20-30 minutes after our appetizers came out before our pizza arrived. We ordered three pizzas including the Paleo pizza, Carnivora pizza, and Flyin' Hawaiian pizza. The Carnivora pizza included San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, pancetta, soppressata, sausage, red onion, fresh garlic and basil. It was a little soggy and too heavy due to all the meats. Our favorite was the Flyin' Hawaiian which included Mozzarella, sliced gouda, honey pancetta, roasted pineapple with nutmeg and brown sugar, red onion, fresh basil. This pizza had so much flavor between the cheese, smokiness of the meat, and sweetness of both the honey and pineapples. Lastly the Paleo pizza, which had San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, bufala mozzarella, fresh mushroom, Prosciutto di Parma. The pizza didn't arrive for an additional 20 minutes after the others ones came out because they dropped the original one. We were notified about this shortly before the very, very late pizza arrived. They did not even offer to discount or take off the pizza for their mistake either. Not to mention the pizza came out a little too charred, some of the crust was uneditable. This pizza wasn't too special either, very basic. The pizza was fine. The portion sizes were on the smaller side. One pizza could easily be a serving, but the appetizers and salads were barely big enough for two. Overall, I am hesitant to say I'll be returning, which makes me disappointed. I wanted to love this place so much, especially after reading the menu. I love good Napoletana styles pizza, but this missed the mark. But the service was a disaster, the starters were weak, and the pizza wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It may have been an off night, but what really killed it was the slow service and lack of communication. For the price of this dinner, I might have to pass.

Pizza was very good for late night food. The late night menus could be expanded. There are only four options.

The fish was tender, perfectly cooked, and complemented beautifully by a delicate lemon butter sauce with capers that added just the right balance of brightness and flavor. The pasta was rich, comforting, and generously portioned, making the dish both satisfying and memorable. Alongside it, I had the opportunity to try the Mama's Lasagna, and it truly lived up to its name. Every layer tasted as though it came straight from a family kitchen rather than a commercial chain restaurant. Rich tomato sauce, melted cheese, and hearty flavors combined to create that unmistakable feeling of homemade comfort food. To finish, I enjoyed a classic Tiramisu paired with a perfectly pulled espresso. What stood out just as much as the food was the overall experience. The wait time was very reasonable, the service was warm and attentive, and our waitress was genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and every dish reflected care and attention to detail. In a world increasingly dominated by corporate dining concepts, it is refreshing to find a restaurant that still serves food with authenticity, tradition, and soul. If you are looking for honest Italian comfort food, generous portions, excellent value, and a dining experience that feels personal rather than commercial, this is absolutely a place worth visiting. I will gladly return.

Food got mixed reactions - Andrew's pistachio crusted trout was fantastic, per him, no sharing his lunch! My Chicken piccata was very salty. Most of the feed back was positive! Had an amazing first experience at New York Pizza Plus this summer!…read more I am not from this area, so I visited here for lunch on the recommendation of some locals. We stopped on a Thursday in July for lunch on our way into Gainesville. The store is located on the corner of a strip of several businesses. There is a shared parking lot for the strip, but we did not have any trouble finding a spot. The restaurant was healthily busy, but we were seated right away. The inside is cozy, but can accommodate larger groups in the back room. I was in a group of 5, and we all opted to eat at the lunch buffet. Having previously eaten at chain pizza buffets, I did not expect the variety and quality that this buffet offered. In addition to a plethora of pizza and bread options, there were various cold salads (such as chicken, tuna, traditional salad, etc), and hot pasta and Italian dishes. It was an amazing spread! I had to make sure my eyes were not bigger than my stomach, since everything looked so good. I started off with a plate of salads and cold items. I love a traditional salad bar, but my favorite from this was the pesto pasta. Next, I tried some of the hot Italian dishes and pizzas - including the meatballs, hot pasta, and several pizza varieties. I did not have a bite of food that I did not like. It truly all was so wonderful. Not only was the food awesome, but so was the price. For the lunch buffet, it was under $100 for five to eat (cannot recall exact price, but I believe it was around $14 or $15 per person). I do not think you would find a better deal for a better meal in the area than this, for the price. The staff and service were great. My drink was refilled several times, and I noticed the buffet was refilled frequently. No complaints on either front. I could not recommend this place enough! I would encourage everyone to visit for the lunch buffet, it is truly a deal you cannot beat. I can't wait until we're back in the area so I can visit here again!
