I was a customer for over a year. Girls seem to do what "they" want with your nails, not what you ask for. On my last visit I chose a color which they were out of. I wanted a color with a sparkle finish, so I picked a similar color in solid and asked for one coat of sparkle on top. They charged me $10.00 extra dollars. Extremely difficult to communicate with the ladies that work there. They yell among themselves and make it NOT a relaxing place. Most definitely not a spa-like experience. The service is average at best. I only went because it's near my house. That's why I'm looking for a new place in Bensalem. Ive gotten gel from this place a few times and not even 2 days later i have multiple chipped nails. not to mention they are expensive.

Sammi, you people ruined my nails...it does not matter whether it's a week or 3 weeks after the so called manicure, gel should not chip and peel the way regular polish does. you gave me a defective polish administered by an inexperienced person and then refused to accept responsibility...I paid 22.00 and tipped 10.00..pretty sure you don't get that often. what did you gain by refusing to fix the mess? read more

Wasn't happy at all with the service I told the chick more then 3 times I wanted them long and thin she kept saying at the end she will fix well bs once I told her she did it with attitude n wrong she didn't care of me not being happy with it I didn't even want her to color my nails that's how bad she got her shapes... Don't get SNS/dip here. Seems rushed, doesn't last, always chips or cracks in less than a week. Seems much thinner and less sturdy than what I'm used to with the dip powder. Would much rather drive out of my way to get dip that lasts. If you just need a pedicure, they do a good one. read more

I moved to Bensalem 2 years ago and I found this salon. It was very nice, the staff was nice and I was satisfied with my nails and this was my go to place for 2 years until this happened. I went into the shop 2 weeks to get a mani/pedi. I was barely greeted this time. I checked in on the tablet, waited about 10 minutes for someone to wait on me. then another lady and man walked in and sat down all of about 2 minutes. the lady in the first chair still never acknowledging me, She asked the lady that came in behind me, are you ready and took her back before me. I am going to be mindful of what I am saying right now because I am really angry. I don't know why she took the other lady in front of me and never acknowledged that I was even sitting there waiting before her or offered me an explanation. This is the second time this has happened at that salon so now I take it personal. I said I was here first but still got ignored. I sat there a few more minutes feeling ignored so I just left. That experience was awful and I will not be going back there! I will not spend my hard earned money at a place like this any longer. V Star Nails lost a good customer. read more

Yeah, I definitely wasn't impressed with this experience. It is a nice looking place but unfortunately that didn't translate to a nice looking mani pedi. For starters the ladies who work here were not the friendliest. We had a child in our party and the lady giving her the pedi was not amused and seemed to lack patience. The pedi was pretty short and generic, and chipped about two days later. When my nails were drying I was approached by an employee who started rubbing my shoulders aggressively. I guess it was meant to be a nice gesture, but it came off a little more awkward than nice. Everything about this experience was run of the mill! Nothing special. read more

Started going here about 2 years ago and at first they were much better than my last salon but over time and even more recently they take shortcuts, skip steps, and overall half a$$ the whole process. My dip powder nails used to last 2 weeks plus. Last week I got them done and one broke after two days.. now a week later I have 3 broken already. (Also no matter how many times I ask for a manicure with the dip powder they refuse to give it to me even though they say yes.. not sure if that's something to do with dip powder or what) I also received a pedicure at the same time and my toe polish was chipped after not even 48 hours. Overall they seem like nice people that just have lost interest in their jobs. I sat in front of the dip powder lady for 5 minutes while she just scrolled through her phone without a word, and then just rushed through the whole thing even though it wasn't busy at all. Bensalem has the worst nail salons I swear. Nobody greeted me when I walked in everyone just stared at me. I was there when they opened and didn't leave til a little after noon which is a ridiculous amount of time to be at a nail salon and for all the time they took doing my acrylic set I already have 2 nails only my 4th day into having this set that are broken which means they were too thin when the acrylic was being built. Not to mention the person doing my eyebrows clearly did not have a lot of practice and dropped wax on my eyebrow where it wasn't supposed to go then tried cleaning it up and left my eyebrow looking all sorts of messed up. I also noticed they made their own prices up as the appointment went along because I did the math according to the price board they have and it did not match up with the total the gave me. So I hiiiiighly recommend not going here they will just give you a random price for nails that are gonna break days later and leave you with a f*cked up eyebrow!! read more

Great place for regular manicure and pedicure. I'm rough on my nails, but their manicures last for over a week without a chip! Something about the base/top coat. Bonus, they are great with kids- my girls love getting pedicures and nail designs here. Great cash specials during the week. Only thing I'd improve is more colors for traditional polish. I've been twice. I should have skipped the 2nd chance. My first pedicure flaked in about a week. My second visit was a ped and a gel manicure. The manicure was 100% peeled off after 4 days. A gel should last at least 10 days and in most of my experience, until you peel it off or your nail grows out a bit. Never again. read more
