Shortest pedicure I've ever had. I've had hundreds of pedicures and this by far had to be the worst. $45 was ridiculous for a 15 minute pedicure. I didn't even get a massage. I got a few punches in the leg. To top it off they wanted to charge me 10% service fee for using my debit card. Even though she clearly told me that her card company charges them 3% . What a rip off. We had a negative experience at V V Nail Salon on Sunday, November 20,2022. A nail technician attempted to bully my friend's 83 year old mother into having gel applied; she wanted regular nail polish. At first, the technician refused to provide her the service. When we were going to go somewhere else, she told her she would do it but she would charge $25. Comments were made during the entire visit about the gel. All of the technicians were rude. Our nails looked fine; we couldn't wait to get out of there because we knew they were all talking about us. We were charged different prices : My powder dip manicure was $50; my friend's was $45. read more

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I don't want anyone else getting hurt by these people. Me and my mom went in together. They soaked my nails and told my mom they were out of acetone (could've gotten it from another station.) They proceeded to RIP my mother's acrylics off so they damaged her real nails and hurt her. We should've walked out but I didn't know until after I was done. Completely unprofessional and probably illegal. I have no idea how they got their license. read more

Their social environment is a challenge. Very short with walk in customers and don't really give a person the feeling that they really want you there. As a customer present during those conversations, it was really hard to listen to and watch. Additionally, this constant conversation between the employees in their language, left one feeling isolated and not necessarily welcome. As far as the quality, just not there, cuticle gap is too much for just walking out, knowing the growth will only be excentuated means I'll need this redone fairly soon! read more

I have been to every nail place there is in the Osage Beach area, multiple times. Ive decided that this is the only place I will ever go again for a few reasons. 1. I never have to wait very long. I don't make appointments and I've literally never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. At some other places you go it's impossible to get in without waiting 45 minutes. 2. They always do my nails how I like them. I like mine super short, and they do super short. They check with me after the filing is done to make sure I like it before moving on and I appreciate that. 3. They take care of their regulars. If you someone who gets their nails done regularly - they they treat you as such. They remember what you like and remember your name. Their customer service is great in that regard. 4. All nail places are pretty much the same price in the Osage Beach area but VV nails is a little cheaper on some things than the others. my husband and I went and it was a terrible experience. the lady made 6 toes bleed on my husband and have been sore for 10 days, left nails jagged. the man made 2 of my toes bleed and didn't get all of my last polish removed, painted over it. very unsanitary establishment plus argued with our friend about having appointments. I went to get my nails done today and told them I wanted Christmas nails. Showed and told them examples I would like. They told me they couldn't do any of them. So I told them just do nude with red sparkles on the bottom tip. So, they said they could do a nude color with red sparkles. Well they got out all materials and when it came time to do the red sparkles it came out as red paint no sparkles. So he went to get another red tube and it was the same. So, he said well just do silver. I said don't worry about it I don't want it anymore. When I wanted Christmas colors. I left and was very upset I was charged $29 dollars for nails that weren't even Christmas just nude. So, I called back and was very nice and asked for a refund like I understand you thought you could do it but if you couldn't of done that kind of nail I just would've gotten red or nothing at all. The girl was very rude and started yelling at me "no you can't have a refund you picked the colors out and we don't give refunds" I said "but the colors I picked out weren't the colors I received " she started yelling saying "I need to do my nails myself then if I don't like them saying it was a picture I showed her we can't do things like pictures. " I said "so I can't get my nails redone free of cost or a refund" and she said "no" so I hung up. Very disappointed this was my first experience there and I WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

I have never felt so humiliated in a public place. I was berated by the manicurist for being difficult and taking too long to pick out the color. She then proceeded to tell me that my nails are too short and I shouldn't have them painted. Customer service and attitude matter!!! She was cranky, rude and unappreciative of her customers. The sign out front says walk-ins welcome....apparently that is not true. Avoid the public harrassment and visit another lake area nail salon!! read more

I have been going to this salon for several years now. I have been treated very rudely by a female there. She has hurt me by strongly pushing my foot in the water and by pushing her fingernails into my cuticles. She is so rude. She's not the only one rude. Why don't they get it? Don't be a person of color and walk in there. That's when she becomes ugly and won't make time for you. I have seen it happen. I won't ever go back there again. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Absolutely rude service ! Dug around "digging out" nails even after saying that hurt. There was NO reason to dig anything out nails were still nice from a month ago's pedicure in Springfield. Kept saying " too much skin on bottom of feet." Again they were slightly dry but nothing bad. I'm a nurse I am on my feet all day!! Paint job was horrible. Pretty certain my 2 year old could have painted better. Then they said the same to my daughter about her feet and she had a pedi 2 weeks ago. They ripped the gel polish off my daughters toes with out soaking. They screwed her paint job up putting her flip flops on then had a fit when she asked them to correct their mistake. Then charged us an extra 5.00 for "removal of gel". To make matters worse as we were letting our chop shop paint dry they quickly sprayed the pedi bowl out but didn't actual clean out the pedi bowls and started 2 other pedis with the dirty bowls and tools!!! I came to get a gel manicure. I found an hombre style online and showed the technician. She quickly said no, only one color. So I picked one color and she did it in a completely adequate manner. I was the only customer there most of the time. The nail tech did not attempt to chat or have any pleasantries with me, but she did speak in another language to two men who were there watching football on the tv. I would not call it a friendly or welcoming atmosphere. But in the end I paid $30 for a nice gel manicure, which I am happy with. I will go to another place next time that can offer more variety in the styles possible. read more

Excellent walk in pedicure on our last day of vacation! The foot and leg massage was so good.

My girlfriend and I wanted to get our nails done together for our girls weekend and unfortunately this was one of the only places open on a Sunday. They told us the incorrect hours on the phone so we rushed in only to find out they weren't closing for a few more hours. As soon as we got there we were seated far away from each other. The guy doing my nails had very poor English skills and was incredibly rough with my fingers. My fingertips hurt for probably 3-5 days and I had to baby them. I told the man multiple times when he was hurting me or when the machine was too hot on my skin and he ignored me and continued. At one point I pulled my hand away from him really fast and we just stared at each other. This is one of the few times in my life that I gave a really low tip. On top of my fingers hurting and him not listening, my nails were poorly done. There were so many tiny air bubbles in my nails that it looked like glitter. My nails were crooked, lopsided, they weren't even with the opposite hand, and they started peeling off the sides within a few days. If I didn't leave down the next day I would have come back and had them re done. I would never come back to this shop. read more

I am on vacation and chose VVs to get a nail fixed that I had broken. The person in the front said that I should have made an appointment. I told her that I am not from here and the sign says Walk Ins Welcome. She looked me up and down and stated, " You should have made an appointment." I asked if she was saying that she would not serve me, or that I needed to make an appointment, she just said, "I can't help you." Other customers looked surprised. I just walked out. I gave it one star because that's the lowest rating. First the man pushes my foot, causing my other foot to touch his arm he jumps up looking at me in disgust and rushes to wash his arm. He then goes on to become very rough and with this awful attitude. I asked him to respect me and treat me as I was treating him and if he couldn't to let someone else finish. Had Michelle do a fill today. Not only is her work inferior, but her personality is cold and she is the rudest nail tech I have ever been to and I have been to several. I didn't even see how bad they looked until I was outside in the natural light. They were uneven, bumpy, and crooked. She even changed my nail shape from oval to a crooked almond! I usually get one of the other nail techs when I go there and they do great work and are friendly, but I have now had the displeasure of having Michelle 3 times, thinking maybe she had an "off" day before. No, her work is terrible and I will never have her do my nails again. Trying to decide now if it's even worth it to go back at all. My husband and I were at the Lake staying at our condo and decided to stop in this place for some pampering. The service was horrible and we were treated as equally bad. We waited close to an hour and a half only to be yelled at and pushed around for more waiting. The woman that was sitting next to the door was extremely rude and when my husband inquired how much longer would the wait be, she yelled at him saying this other woman has an appointment, what do you want? Three hours later we fnally left with headaches from all the chatter in a loud foreign language. I was hesitant to come back here since the last time they cut my toenail so short it bled, but decided to give it another shot. The "just a few minutes" wait turned into a 1 1/2 hour wait. Fine whatever, they did a decent job. But when it was time to pay, the manager/owner lady told me the last time I was in she charged me wrong, and I still owe her $5. From last time. Yeah, the time they made me bleed. I asked her when that was and she got very upset yelling that she remembered me (from 2 months ago??) and that I owed her $5 and I was just in 2-3 weeks ago, and if I don't want to pay her than "fine!!" and basically causing a scene in a salon full of people. It had been quite awhile since I'd been there, due to the fact that I had to wait for my toe to grow out and I can't believe she actually remembered me, but I gave her $5 and left. There are a lot of other nail salons around the lake and I will definitely be visiting one of them next time. Hope that $5 was worth losing a customer over. read more
