We walked in for a bachelorette, and they were SUPER accommodating. They immediately helped us, sketched the design, and had the tattoo done in less than 10 min. We were in and out in no time. Pricing was fair, minimum of $75 which is what ours cost, but I feel like that's typical. The line work was awesome and the artist did a great job. Only thing I would call out is, customer service is not exactly friendly. If you like overly sarcastic tattooers that are on the verge of disrespect, this is probably the place for you. To be honest, if I was the one getting the tattoo, I probably would have walked out, but our bachelorette was determined to get one. Also, not COVID friendly at all, FYI. I hear this is the best tattoo shop in the area, so I'm sure a more personalized experience would have been better than a walk in. But I probably won't be going out of my way to come here again. read more

I've meant to write this review for a while, and life's been a little crazy. I stopped in here back in May for a tattoo on my bachelorette weekend. While I'm thrilled with how my tattoo came out, and the price was fair ($75), the customer service (or lack thereof) made just as lasting an impact as the ink on my arm. Shortly after walking in, Chris, my tattoo artist (and owner), informed us that we did not have to wear 'face diapers' in his shop, as he pointed to my mask. I replied politely yet directly, informing him that I was battling a brain tumor, and for that reason, I would be wearing a mask. His response was to ask me if I should be getting a tattoo if I'm being treated for a brain tumor. Again, I was direct in my response, informing him that my doctor had previously told me that she was okay with me being tattooed, as long as I went to a reputable shop that followed proper health and safety protocols and was diligent with keeping it clean as it healed. I reminded him that I had not asked him or any of his employees to mask up for my benefit, not had I spoken to anyone disrespectfully for their choice not to wear one, AND I expected to be shown the same courtesy. I think there is something about being a petite woman who is unafraid to use their voice that catches people off guard because, at that point, he dropped it. Honestly, had it not been for the occasion, I would have walked out. Had the owner been friendly, this would have been a 5-star review, had he at the very least been respectful, I would have given them at least four stars. So if you're looking for a solid tattoo but don't mind being treated with disrespect, feel free to ignore the bulk of this review. However, if you're looking for a great experience as well as a great tattoo, this might not be the shop for you. read more

While I love, love, LOVE my tattoo, Chris was incredibly disrespectful to his employees in front of his clients. He was cussing them out and asked one to pack up and leave because she made a mistake about putting a piece of paper in the wrong spot. He made me feel really uncomfortable with the way he spoke to others. I will certainly not be returning. read more

I have known Dowdy since I was a young girl. He is first and foremost an artist by birth. His talents come like second nature to him. He is second a successful business man with great intelligence and a desire to grown, physically and spiritually. Third, he is a bad ass tattoo artist. I fly from Southern California, yes SO CAL where there are hundreds of great artists, to get tattooed by Chris Dowdy. He is the best and my family and I will never have another artist touch our bodies. The ink is permanent and you must respect and believe in the person placing it. He has positive energy transference into his ink and you can feel the difference being touched by him vs another artist. He is the best, so please reconsider going anywhere else. read more

I had went here for my dermal over a year ago and took my two younger cousins to get rook piercings because I had a good experience. WELLLLLLLL while the piercings were good the attitude from Chris was beyond ridiculous!! I was watching the first rook being done and made a joke that it was a dick move not to count for her and he explained people tend to pass out. Never thought of it. After the second was done he proceeded to scold me in front of 8 people including waiting patrons about how I disrespected him. Seriously, dude? After I apologized several times he still proceed to tell me to leave. F*ck you, dude. You are in fact a butthurt D*CK!! And to think I was getting ready to make an appointment with you for 5 point star in dermals! I am pretty particular when it comes to my tattoo artist and have used the same artist for many of my tattoos. While visiting Lake of Ozarks and deciding on getting another tattoo, I was happy to find and meet Chris at Rabbits Foot. While this was my seventh tattoo and was not large it was the first tattoo I have gotten on my foot. While I have a tendency to be a bit of a baby (in the moments leading up to the tattoo) and ask lots of questions...Chris was personable, polite and made me feel comfortable. His place is very clean and neat and it was clear that hygiene, safety and professionalism are his priorities. I ended up with a great tattoo from a great tattoo artist! Professional! Had my tragus pierced a couple of weeks ago in my hometown 6 hours away. Here on vacation in Osage Beach and last night it fell out, after a grueling 1 1/2 hours of trying to get the piercing back together, we had to put another stud in and tried to find a shop here at the Lake. After checking reviews online that were talking this "Chris" guy up, I ended up at Rabbit's Foot and this place is totally LEGIT! I met Chris and his assistant(sorry I forgot your name sweetie) and they hooked me up! Took care of the problem, gave me some helpful advice on the current piercing and earned a client for life! Alright! Where to begin? Last summer when I turned 18 I decided to get a very meaningful tattoo on me about my troubled past. "I will not let my past keep me from achieving happiness" I obviously wanted the owner Chris Dowdy to do it because I LOVED his work. I walk in there super excited with a couple friends who wanted to see it get done and I tell the three tattoo artists that were there that I had an appointment with Chris Dowdy. He gave me one glance and looked so uninterested in doing my work. Actually none of them seemed to want to do my work. I wonder if it was because they were judging on my looks because let's face it. I look like a Barbie. Well, Chris didn't do it and had one of the other ones do it. (It wasn't the other Chris that did it either. I can't remember the one that did mines name) and he seemed irritated to do it as well. My artist put the stencil on me and I didn't like where it was placed so I asked politely if he could move it over which he did no problem. And then Chris Dowdy decides to put his two cents in and says in a rude tone " I liked it where it was" I completely ignored him. My artist worked on me for 35 minutes which I didn't give him any trouble I didn't make a sound but it definitely wasn't a pleasant feeling. (No tattoo will be) well after it was done and I paid for it Chris decided to say " I still liked it where it was" with this smug look on his face and the same rude tone. Frankly, it's my body and I believe no one should have a say on where it should go besides me and I loved where I picked it out at. THEIR ART IS BEAUTIFUL. But,THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL. And I truly hope Chris realizes how he was and how he talks to people and changes it. I will not be going there ever again. My friends were apalled as well from the behavior of the staff and decided they weren't going to get theirs done by any of them. Just because someone looks a certain way and just because you're a good artist doesn't mean you can treat that person like dirt. read more
