I can't praise George, his family and their restaurant(s) enough to do them justice! My fiance and…read moreI visited Juana La Loca a few years ago because we absolutely loved the decor, but we were pleasantly surprised that the food and drinks were also amazing. Fast forward and we had a Welcome Reception for our destination wedding at Juana La Loca. Not only did George and his team exceed all of OUR expectations, several groups of our guests were so impressed by the food/drinks that they went back to the restaurant while in PR. I could go on and on about the food, the service, and the beauty of the restaurants but sometimes it's the little things that make a huge difference. For example, when I couldn't get a sign for the party made and shipped in time--George made it happen. Or when our guests wanted to turn the reception into karaoke--George/his team made it happen. I'm pretty sure George even greeted each of our guests himself. All in all, George and the Juana La Loca team exceeded all of our expectations!

Oversized chairs and fainting couches, portraits of nobility long perished, walls tattooed with what appeared to be centuries of age. ...And of course some Halloween decorations thrown in for good measure because 'tis the season. The bartender was really nice and very attentive. I grabbed a table closest to the bar so that I could watch the show. This was a unique take on brunch, for sure. Interactive too. At one point the flamenco dancer handed everyone handkerchiefs and invited them up to dance with her. Nothing complicated, just pure fun. In between sets, the restaurant played lively salsa music which really set the tone for where we were. After my unexpected workout, I ordered breakfast: The Conde de Castillas sandwich--minus the ham, and a glass of passion fruit juice. Essentially, it was a smoked gouda cheese sandwich with a guava and berry jam, on a fluffy, lightly toasted mallorca. Delicious! I only wish there was more cheese. An ooey gooey cheese pull would have been amazing! The sandwich also came with a side of super-skinny french fries. It was a little over $30 for both, but it was a filling and satisfying breakfast...plus live entertainment!
