We have lived at Hideaway for over a year. We have been fulltime RVer's going on 10 years and have…read morebeen in 16 plus states. This is the worst place we have stayed in. The price is the only reason we haven't moved. They have a automatic renewal clause and locked us in for another year. Throughout our time there we have been without water for over 25 days. The longest at one time was 7 days. With 3 kids it was very unsettling not having water. After that we started holding water onboard. No onsite management, tenants having to constantly alert the owners about the dumpsters being full. Neglecting the roads when they were covered with ice causing unsafe driving conditions. We personally had to find and contact contractors to come in and salt the roads. The second time they froze tenants had to scrap the roads just to be able to get out to get propane. Several sites have large deep ruts and are unsafe to walk on. After talking with contractors who have fixed water lines multiple times, we have found out that no dirt was screened causing the constant breaking of the water pipes. None of the sites were packed down and the rock properly layered causing people's campers to sink over 6 inches. The asphalt is caving in and crumbling, and the owners were told they needed thicker asphalt to be able to handle the weight of the campers 4" to 6" not 2" to 3". I have personally cut multiple septic pipes for people because the owners left the pipes sticking up out the ground over 2ft, failing to provide the new tenants with the ability to hook up. We have been told since June of 2023 that a pool was going to be installed, they still haven't even broke ground. As well as some recreational areas for our kids. In a nutshell, between the neglect of basic caretaking and the lies they have sold to tenants, I don't recommend this campground. The tenants look after one another because the owners won't. I could go on and on with pictures and texts messages, but I will stop.

The water wasn't working when we arrived, they had sprung a leak. We weren't able to take a shower when we got there. We went out then came back several hours later, it was then working. There is ample parking for the hotel. The rooms are like a studio apartment. Regular size fridge microwave. No utensils,glassware or dishes though. There is NO SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER PROVIDED IN THE ROOM SO TAKE NOTE. Overall the stay was pretty good the blinds are manually done by hand. About a half hour from Knoxville. There is a free Keurig coffee machine located in the lobby and you actually got a comforter to sleep with. The rooms have a very sterile feeling to them.

There is no room to take your dogs out - their "dog park" is a small 10x10 patch of fenced grass. The WIFI does not work, we had to use our phones hot spot to watch TV and use our laptop. The laundry facilities are gross, washers stink, dryers won't dry your clothes (after 1 hour in the dryer, I'd expect my clothes to not come out damp). The bathrooms on site are okay - they also have a foul smell of urine and sewer. The shower curtains are see through and too small for the showers. The location of this place also sucks - next to a rock quarry where you will hear nothing but loud equipment all day and into the night. If you're looking for a cheap one night stop on your way through, this might be the place. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing campground, this isn't it!!!

This is a great place to reunite with family since the are so many opens spaces to sit and talk. Coffee,btea and snacks are always available. There's a wonderful patio out back where you can relax too. I highly recommend this lovely place.

And the nice thing is that it's conveniently located only 9 miles from downtown Knoxville. When you arrive, Lynn will give you a tour of the place, give you instructions and your special key code to get in and out as you please, and lastly, bring you to your room. We have stayed in two different rooms and our favorite is the spacious room upstairs with the en-suite bathroom. Room amenities include: extra towels, pillows, and blankets, a fan, a white noise machine, smart T.V., luggage stand, and a binder of useful information. Each morning, Lynn serves a continental breakfast from 8-10 a.m. which includes: fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, homemade muffins, granola bars, and oatmeal. The coffee and tea bar is always open, which I just love. I can't sing enough accolades for this beautiful bed and breakfast and its delightful host. If you're visiting Knoxville and you need a place to stay, you don't need to search any further.

My only complaint is that both times the temperature wasn't regulated very well. I first stayed in the summer and it was a tad too warm at night (opened window). Then, I stayed in the winter and it was extremely hot (opened window again). Oh well, but seriously...I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The lake front spots are our favorite and we love that the kids can carry their kayaks into the water on their own. You can rent boats from a local dock 10ish minutes away driving if you don't have one, or you can put your boat in not far and keep it near your site in the water. The bathrooms are relatively clean and hook ups and water are fine. The only complaint we have is that there are tons of ants everywhere. If you drop food, they will find it. Last year they tried to climb up our jacks and get into our camper so we always try to remember to bring any spray. There is a ton of goose poop around the sites by the water but we just use bags we use for the dog's poop and throw it away so we don't step on it.

A steep slope to get in/out and not level. There were a few campsites that looked like people stay there all season (little dog fences, lights, signs in yard, etc.) Overall though the campground is so pretty! A lot of trails to walk. During season you can rent canoes and kayaks. Bev at the front office was super nice and helpful. Called and let us know we could check in early. Would recommend to others but would I would definitely pick a different campsite next time (52) just because of the slope to get in/out and not being level (but the view from this site is beautiful!!)
