This past weekend I had a dance showcase at the Vacaville performing arts center. This is my third show here and so far I have only had great experiences. The staff are patient and clear about the do's and don'ts. There are nice dressing rooms and grassy areas to hang outside. Lots of seating and a great stage! read more

The last few shows has been a terrible experience. The vocals are set so low, I'm not sure why the sound men cannot realize this. As an example, we attended the Led Zeppagain show and could not hear the singer AT ALL. I wrote to the manager but they don't write back. Maybe that's why there aren't very many people at their shows. Oh well, on to the next theater. read more

Hubby and I came to watch "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus," a couple weekends ago. It was a good show for the price we paid. The center was very nice, clean and welcoming. We were able to locate the place very easily and it has a good sized parking lot. There are accessible restrooms that are very clean. I would come back to watch other performances in the near future. read more

It's wonderful to see real people sharing singing, dancing and actually speaking to each other! Christmas treat for sure!!

The staff was very rude. Never have I had a door closed in my face mid sentence. Parents, vote to have your event elsewhere.

We went for a children's theater production showing and I took my very large mobility scooter. Upon entering the assistant manager noticed me and put out a great effort to make sure that I got seated appropriately and had a way in and out of the theater. Right before I got situated we realized that my scooter had sprung a flat tire. We watched the production and afterwards I had to wait for about 45 minutes while my husband went to get things to fix the flat and came back to fix it. During that time every person I encountered was so kind and generous with their time even though they should have been on their break. I very much appreciate the politeness and the generosity of their natures. They made what could have been a miserable experience tolerable. Thank you!! read more

Great theater with plenty of parking and reasonable ticket prices. Talent has always been top notch and very entertaining! The concessions bar really needs a card reader for payments, though. I was so thirsty but haven't had cash on me since 2015. read more

I recently attended Motown Mania here where the description of the event said you could stand or dance in front of your seat, however, there were monitors who told you you could not. You could not even dance on the sides where no one's view was obstructed. If no dancing is allowed, they should not be advertising otherwise. read more

The theater venue itself is nice, clean and comfortable. The performances can vary greatly but being a local venue, the expectation must remain appropriate. We have seen several plays here. The cost is nominal and the performances are kid friendly and fast paced. We enjoy seeing local shows here and our family has enjoyed time together. read more

First time there - what a cozy venue with capacity of 500 with every seat having great sight lines - the ample parking lot is much appreciated - the show "Selena" was quite entertaining (especially for my wife) - everything was handled professionally from the start / As a bonus happen to meet the house manager named Daisy - what a sweetheart with an upbeat attitude - the rest of the staff were also very accommodating and friendly - the only item to be improved upon is the serving of wine and beer - it was stopped due to virus precautions - but Daisy stated that hopefully that that service will return in the near future - what more can you ask for! read more

We've been to this cozy theatre a number of times. On our most recent visit here we had the pleasure of watching Kenny G Live! Plenty of parking, helpful staff and there are really no bad seats in the house. From local neighborhood artists to big headliners, it's a pretty comfy place that you'll enjoy. Small venue. Comfortable seats. Good view of the stage. Friendly enough staff. Decent accommodations. My only complaint is the bar. We were here on Friday for a concert and were standing in line for the bar. Some people jumped in line in front of us, but we didn't say anything. As soon as we got to the front of the line and asked for two glasses of white wine, the staff said they were closing the bar. I asked if we could just have our two glasses of wine and they apologized and closed down. It was pretty frustrating since A. who stops serving booze at a concert?? and B. we were literally at the front of the line. People had cut us; those people got drinks. We missed out, apparently. This venue does not serve alcohol once the show starts. Ye be warned! Nice little venue. Very conservative. But don't go here if you're trying to party. Lol read more

Went to see the Nutcracker here yesterday. The performance by the Vacaville Theater Company was great! The theater on the other hand was a different story. They had 3 huge speakers on each side of the stage that made it difficult to see the whole play. We spoke to the house manager during the intermission (Daisy?) and she was very, "yes, that's the way it is" RUDE. read more

Saw The Wizard.Oz tonight with my 6yr old. The performance was great and nice theater. Very intimate. The staff could be more friendly for sure. Even when I went to purchase our tickets days before, the lady at the window didn't seem.like she was happy about helping me and the staff tonight at the shoe weren't very friendly either. They weren't rude but not friendly. Other than that a GREAT shoe and we'll be back to see other shows! Fantastic performance! read more

Attended an event on 11/29/2017 and was discriminated against by one of the employees. I am handicap, lobby seating was full. Approached an employee working at the event to request seating assistance. I was denied assistance with attitude. Less than 3 minutes later, same employee assisted a white couple instead. If you are African American, and handicap, avoid attending any events at this location, you will receive discriminatory assistance or services. read more

High caliber shows for a small theater. I've seen shows like Smokey Robinson, America, Blues Traveler, Richard Marx and Arturo Sandoval. All were excellent. The theater is small enough to invite crowd interaction with the artists. Ticket prices are always reasonable. read more

Pretty small theatre so there are really no bad seats. Seats are a little wider than most theatres. Seats are more comfy too. The sound is clear, always a plus. Could use a modern facelift but otherwise good theatre to watch a performance. read more

Today I went to see my granddaughter perform in her dance recital at Elevate Dance Center at VPAT. I was holding my three month old grandson. The House Manager stopped me at the door stating I had to buy a full price ticket for my sleeping three month grandson who will not occupy a seat. What happened to children under age two free? This was a recital for children and families. Really? I was fortunate that a very nice lady in line behind me had an extra ticket and gave it to me for my three month grandson who slept in my arms the entire recital. I told the rude lady that I if I ever win the lottery that I would buy that place and give it back to the people and families of Vacaville. I am aware that many of the area schools do not rent this place due to the high prices they charge, it's obviously all about money with this place and not the people. They should change the name from Vacaville Performing Arts Center to "Full price for infants Performing Arts Center" Pathetic!!!!!!! read more

We purchased out tickets online, we were charged an extra 12 dollars for internet/convenience fee... that's quite a bit of money but we figured were driving from over an hour away, it would be nice to get there and walk right in. We get there 5 minutes before the show because of traffic, and there is ONE window open and at least 15 people in line. My husband walks to front door and asks where is the 'will call' window and is told it is the same exact window that everyone else is purchasing tickets in. So we wait... and wait... and wait. We waited over 10 minutes and when we finally get to window they can't find my tickets. Thankfully I brought my confirmation number. What exactly is the point of a convenience fee? There was nothing convenient about it. Anyway, we paid $79 dollars for 3 tickets, one of those a childs ticket. The seats were uncomfortable. The music was too low, all we heard was the people behind us squeaking in their seat. Parking was completely full. Unfortunately this is the only place in town to hold such venues so we will most likely have to come again... read more

Just left the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre and was beyond disappointed. Although the show was very good, I was surrounded by inconsiderate people with their phones shining in my face. I actually got up at one point and went out to tell the usher to ask them to stop. The usher acted surprised that people were taking pictures and videos. Seriously! Are you kidding me that as she was standing in the back she didn't see the lights ???!? Needless to say, she did nothing about it for the entire show. This is why people do not support this local venue. Very sad VPAT. read more
