The pro shop has a nice staff as well. Quite knowledgeable and educated and trained well in providing excellent member care. As stated, it is a private facility. You must be a member to experience the amenities. However, dining is open. There is a dress code so call ahead should you have questions in regards to what that may entail. It's definitely a bit of a quirky layout, but given the 2 sets of tees, the course does a great job of making some interesting holes. The clubhouse staff were super nice and don't forget to ask for the course hole by hole cheat sheet - makes a huge difference on some blind holes. We loved it and with a time of play at 2 hours, we will be back.

Yes, it's the cute little golf course with the completely unprounounceable name…read more Pookie-dookie-donkey-kong Country Club (or whatever it's called) is a little 9-hole, par 34 affair in the hills of South Salem, a nice place for beginner golfers to take their game. It's quite cheap too, 18 holes for 25 dollars. Just one thing to watch out for: the crossovers. There are two fairways that cross eachother on this course, and four of the holes actually cross the main driveway that leads to the clubhouse! Just make sure no cars are coming when you take those critical shots. Hard not to have fun here. Make it interesting by playing the white tees the first time around, and the blues the second time around.

And after just one visit here I'm upset I never tried this sooner. The staff here is really friendly and helpful and will be glad to answer any questions. I was also skeptical of these simulators, I didn't expect it would be very fun or engaging, but it is. I just did the driving range simulator, where you hit off of an automated tee. Great setup and it lets you concentrate on hitting the ball. I'm as much of a beginner as they come, but even after just one session, I have noticeably improved and can't wait to come back. I was here with my 7 year old and we both had a great time. Great for families as well. Great vibe here. Highly recommended. Price is good as well.

Nicely laid out with some very challenging holes. During summer months one needs to secure tee times well in advance as all tee times are taken. The course also has a driving range. Range balls are also fairly priced at $8.00 for a small (50) balls and $16.00 for a large (100) balls. The driving range matts are quite warm but pro shop where balls are sold told me they were being replaced in the 2024 season. Brand new golf carts have replaced the old ones only negative is these carts are gas powered which can result in jerky stops and starts. But this facility does not have a cart barn which prevents electrical access. Hopefully in the future the town of Greenwich will erect a cart barn with electrical chargers for electric carts. Pro shop carries the popular brands of shirts, golfing apparel and shoes. The personnel in the shop are knowledgeable and very helpful. The manager, Ashley, has great personality and is a pleasure to deal. Everyone in the shop is friendly and courteous to all patrons. Lessons are available from PGA professionals. For a public course I highly recommend the "Griff"

The food was ehhh. I had filet which I believe was really a cheaper cut of beef. The "gravy" tasted like a bullion cube and the meat was so rare it was almost inedible but if it was cooked more it probably would have been tough and still inedible. Mashed potatoes were half fake box and real. Veggies on the other hand seemed fresh and were good. Dessert was hot lava cake with the smallest dollop of ice cream. Ehh could take it or leave it....
