I was in for service on March 14, 2025, for an oil change, a 3-point flush, and my Tire Monitoring System light was on. Those repairs were made, and I left the shop after paying the $637. On my way home, I started to receive a message on my dash that my power steering assist was reduced. In addition, my AC was blowing hot air, and my car's temperature gauge was not moving at all. I came back in the following morning for those items to be addressed. I was told that my thermostat needed to be replaced, and it would be around $1500. My husband and I ok'd the work, and we left. At 8:15am, we received a phone call that our spark plugs needed to be replaced, and it would be much cheaper to do it now since the housing unit would already be opened and a part to take care of the thermostat. We ok'd that RO as well. At 11:52am, we received a call that the vehicle was ready. First, I want to say that Jane is fantastic! I would not want any other service advisor assigned to my vehicle. She truly is an asset to Cadillac. My issue is with the total charges for the bill. We were charged $208.88 for the thermostat and corresponding parts, and a whopping $1,069.09 in labor. In addition, we were charged $149.94 for the spark plugs, and another $150 in labor. That is $1,219.09 in labor alone!! For not even 3.5 hours of work! That amounts to $348.31 per hour for labor, assuming our vehicle was actually worked on for 3.5 hours (it wasn't). I am very disappointed and upset over this. I did contact Val Ward right away, and as of yet, I have had no response. UPDATE - Day 1 after receiving the vehicle - we did not drive it. Day 2 - we had to have it TOWED back to Val Ward because the vehicle was overheating. Why? The "certified" tech forgot to seal the coolant pipe and the vehicle had absolutely no coolant in it. In addition, he has never brought my car for service. It is traumatic that I have to change my record back to my name every time I have my car serviced. Took my vehicle there early Monday morning for some maintenance and a full detail. We signed a form that gave us the amount that the bill would be. The next day we get a call we were miss quoted and it would be more for transmission fluid change. We told them never mind but do the other things. They had my SUV for 3 days. We worked with Jose Villar and he was, hands down, the best salesman (in any industry) that I've ever worked with. My first visit to Val Ward Cadillac was of to a rough start I was told when I bought my XT6 in for detailing that I would get a loaner car and they knew nothing about a loaner vehicle so I had drove 56 miles for nothing. To be fair they tried to give me a Buick enclave from the body shop but it had 3 bad tire sensors and and brake caution light on. As I leaving the dealer the had filled me gas tank up for the trouble and told me they would pick my car up for service and bring me Cadillac loaner vehicle. The cars were wonderful. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with a salesman named Justin Crusel. My friend signed in for us as we browsed before getting assigned to Justin. Aside from his scheming tactics (easy to debunk with a Google search), he openly hit on me to get together outside of his of his work - expressing the desire to use drugs and spend a "night or two" together. He talked openly of his drug usage and wanting to do them with me. He even discussed his private parts and I jokingly went along to ensure my safety, but have never felt more unsafe as a woman attempting to buy a car. I left promptly and will be warning all my friends and family of staying away from him and this company so long as he works here. I bought a car nearby and am happy the money didn't go to somebody as creepy as him. I've never had a worse ordeal with a car salesman. The 1 star rating stems from our experience when purchased our used car. We had stopped in numerous times when the lot was closed to view the car. We finally came in and spoke with the sales person. The price was fair and the trade-in offer was good, so we didn't haggle over price. This was a smooth transaction and an easy sale. After we signed all the paperwork, the salesperson then told us that there was only 1 key fob. We were also told by the salesperson that the dealership would not pay for a new fob. We found out later that the fob is expensive to replace. Again, we asked the dealer to pay for a new fob. The salesperson became very short,with us. We were given a number for an outside vendor and told that the dealership would NOT PAY. To us, this is unacceptable after paying asking price. In short, we can not recommend this dealer. Ruined my 2 week old Escalade with a courtesy wash! The black part of the rear passenger window seems to have been ruined by some sort of abrasive. Roadside took it in for a mail in the tire, it had to go back 2 times because they couldn't balance the wheels, they also couldn't repair the tire needed a replacement. My 2 week old $130k baby, is now scarred by the dealer that was supposed to help me! I do not recommend I also do not trust them to repair the damage they made. read more

I cannot say enough about this dealerships stellar service department. I have an older Cadillac with very low miles that I just love. Jane in service has been my advisor and she has been awesome. From communication and honesty she always follows through. The most recent was on Sunday I rolled the passenger window down and could not get it back up. I sent Jane an email Sunday night and she responded promptly Monday morning and said to be there first thing Tuesday when they open. I went and was fixed and repaired while I waited. Needed a new regulator and was in and out with a wash. Great staff, I feel welcomed and not a burden. They always make you feel comfortable. They did a courtesy wash on a 2 week old 2023 Escalade and destroyed the side of the backseat passenger window (the part adjacent to the emblem) like they used an abrasive or something, and I won't even call that service department again! Had my oil changed and tires rotated at Val Ward. I haven't had good service in the past, but wanted to keep getting service at the dealership while my car is still in warranty. Since it was only an oil change I waited there at the dealership. The service tech called and said my car was ready. I went to his office, signed all paperwork and paid for services. He gave me my keys and said I was good to go. I went to get my car at the service entrance, but there were no cars. I went back to his office and asked where my care was and he said it is right outside in the service entrance. I told him there were no cars there. He came out and looked and said I don't know where your car is either. I reminded him that he gave me the keys so hopefully it is still somewhere at the dealership. I went on and told him I have had problems every time I brought my car in for service. He then sarcastically said, "I am sorry that you may have to wait another 6 minutes while we find your car". They finally found my car. It is very scary when you take your car in for service no one at the dealership can tell you where it is located. read more

I cannot begin how to explain what i feel about this service. Id love to give them an opportunity to make a correction but they refuse to call me back. Save your money. Their service department will sell you expensive "software" or expensive parts ($1400) when all the trouble was a keyfob battery for $12, but i had to take it to Tuffy to find out the truth after i gave VW aeveral chances to fix it. If this is how they fix cars, dont trust their sales team either. Ive had two cadillacs serviced here and bought one. Never again. 12/22/21 3:19pm update. They did replace the cars battery, but let my wife leave with a check engine light still on after claiming "its all fixed". When i called Dave to ask why they didn't clear codes or fix everything, he said to bring it in and i can take a rental at VW expense. Two weeks later, we came in together and was turned away stating to just fill the car up a couple times with 93 octane to blow out carbon then come back and get $1400 in parts if that doesnt fix it. Yea, 2 months have gone by from the original service but we have called and been there a couple times since. I have left Jimmy two messages at the receptionist and havent heard back. Three days later, i called and was told because he had to leave for a wife's emergency. Still no call back. Tuffy on Tamiami replaced keyfob battery for $12 and no codes returned and google says the codes are related to low keyfob battery. Simple fix versus a $1400 bill. Nothing to get straightened out. You obviously have incompetent service techs or you attempted to rip me off. Pick one. I guess times are difficult when you dont have new cars to sell. read more

Disappointing that my husband and I were forced to sit in a very small waiting room with a television set tuned to political commentary, with no means to turn it down, off, or change the channel. I spoke to the Customer Service manager who told me that they have other waiting rooms at the dealership where I could wait in the future. I think he missed the point, if you want a potential customer to feel welcome and comfortable at the dealership, don't invite them in to listen to a channel well known to churn out propaganda. read more

I got the best looking 2013 Cadillac XTS for an amazing price. Not only were they competitive on price, the car had all the options so it was a no brainer to buy. The salesman in their certified used car area, was Norm, he's another Chicagoland transplant, who was knowledgeable about the car and all the features it has w/ the CUE data center that does everything w/ voice commands. Things like Navigation, find nearest grocery store, call Jonny on cell, turn radio to 92.5, or whatever ur listening too, and south more. This Cadillac is the nicest, sexiest Cadillac's we have owned. I love the fact that fuel is regular 87 grade. The car buying experience and all the subsequent service visits we've had since October of last year have been great. I had one issue the entire time which was kind of a big one for me but I have more mechanical knowledge than your average car owner. I had new tires put on the car and they did a front end alignment without asking and when i confronted them about it they said it's policy on all tire changes. Which is nonsense car had 40k miles on it and tracked down the road straight as an arrow. Because it was only $99 they probably didn't have to consult me but that's car service for you they always try and up sale stuff to ya. Other than that the prices and service have been great always quick in and out. The also do free detailing on Saturday mornings on any Cadillac. When the wife is ready for another caddy which I'm sure she will cause she loves this car. I will be returning to Val Ward which has been a staple dealership in fort Myers for I think the better part of 60yrs and it's easy to see why. read more

There's very bad service, I have 2006 Mercedes SL 500, I have scratch under the bumper and the back the body, they offer me $ 1800, I make offer $ 1500, after 2 todays they call me say they can fix it for $ 1500 Plus the tax $ 1562.44, 9 days later they call me, go pick up the car, I Pay the $ 1562.44, when I check under the bumper, they doesn't fix under the bumper scratch, they ask me about $ 300 more, I am so pissed , I pay the $ 1562.44, but they doesn't finish the job, and they ask me add $ 300 more for finish the job, I walk away ,they are so bad to take your money no finish the job, I will never go back there, and then I will tell my all friends don't go there fix the car, very very bad service. While ultimately I left the dealership satisfied; I spent a very long time, was bold face lied to by a Saturday service writer and nearly passed out from stress! Dan Flynn is cool, calm collected and made things happen but by luck I was able to leave satisfied. If things would have worked differently, he and the team would have went on with the rest of their day just fine. I have been a customer since the 1990's as have my parents and my grandparents. 5/9/14. Maintenance side...I bought my car a few days ago. I took it in today to have the windows tinted it was part of the deal. I noticed that my trunk struts were out. This was minor so I thought I would get them fixed when windows were tinted. Dan Flynn (customer relations manager) introduced himself as I was dropping car off. I showed him trunk. He had dealership pay to fix trunk. I bought car as is and no way expected them to do that. HE Offered without me even asking for it! Now Thats customer service! My car was done in 1.5 hrs.
