I couldn't believe the total when I went to pay. $105 for a basic set that should've been around $60 anywhere else especially since I've gotten better work for cheaper in New York City, where prices are supposed to be higher! It's not just about the money it's about feeling totally ripped off. I kept looking at my nails thinking, "This cannot be real." I said that was fine. When I got there, the owner didn't believe that I had an appt, even though my name was written in the book. She puts me in the chair next to the cashier and put the acetone cotton and tin foil on my nails then leaves. After 5 minutes I look around and see her doing a pedicure on someone else. I figured I would wait and see what happens before I got upset. 5 minutes later she leaves the pedicure woman and comes over to do my nails. I asked her if she could wash her her hands first and she laughed at me, said something about acetone. I told her it was kind of gross to go from someone's feet to my nails. She sighed and washed her hands. I got a rushed basic gel removal which was pretty much my expectation until she nipped the skin under my pinky with the nail cutters. No blood but it stung when she put the acetone back on. Then a customer came in and she moved me to someone else. At this point, no one has asked me to pick my next color. I just wanted to get out of there. The second woman was nicer. She didn't do anything with my cuticles. I got a reduced rate of $10 because the the pinky cut. I went home and filed my nails more evenly. My nails are a little bumpy from where they didn't remove the entire gel. I won't go back again.

Lately, the owner has not been there on several of the visits I've made, and I have had very bad experiences with one worker whose name sounds like "Lucky" or "Loki." She was very rough with me, and today she burned my hand in an old gel nail dryer. When I said "ouch" and recoiled in pain, I asked if she could change me to the station next to us that was not being used. She didn't want to accept that the nail dryer might have been broken. "Lucky" insulted me, called me names, and yelled at me to leave, even though the service was half done. Her coworker Fanny took over and finished the job, while I tolerated the added humiliation of "Lucky" telling me, in front of the other customers, that she can't deal with stupid customers like me. Because Fanny completed the job professionally, I had visited this place many times before, and because I was in the middle of the service and going elsewhere would have meant getting my nails scraped again with damage, I had the service finished. I did not leave a tip. I will never go back again. If I didn't know the owner for so many years, I would report this incident to the Better Business Bureau. What I went through today is a safety hazard.
