It's unfortunate that my best friend at the same time at the same location did not experience The same that I did the employee Annie not only made her put on her own cuticle oil, but also showed irritation and lack of concern once her tip was presented to her and asked her if she still wanted the chrome after attempting to talk her out of it and that we were already charged for and they overcharged including their tip without permission and that's very uncomfortable. 1st - I walked in around 6:30 pm and asked if I could have a refilled on my set. Yes ma'am. I started with a lady, then passed to 4 other technicians. They were visibly upset that they were closing and they were working with me. 2nd - I asked for a refill as I let my nails grow out to have the acrylic set on my nails. Nidleds to say they did not like this, they did not do this, and ended up doing with they wanted. 3rd. they were filed down so short that, uneven and didn't look anything like what I had, or showed them. 4th- It was an emergency as I was heading out of town the next day. I do NOT recommend this location at all, they just want your money with no respect to your request or preferences. It's literally a simple stiletto set with a few black nails and 2 red nails. He tried to start putting top coat like this after already attempting to "clean them up." I stopped him from putting top coat & said I had to go because it had already been over 2 hours JUST for these and they were HORRIBLE. So I had to finish them correctly at home. The tech was really rough with my big toe and caused it to be in pain and become infected. They didn't have a wide selection on nail colors. This really bums me out to write a negative review about a place that did a really great job on my nails before but my nails are damaged even more now for an even longer time. I walked in and said I wanted dip powder and that I didn't want any filing as the last place I went already tore through my nails and they were thin and damaged enough. I had some old dip powder that also needed to be removed. The nail tech said she understood and then grabbed her drill and started drilling through the old dip (which is fine, I know that helps them soak off much better) but she was drilling right through to my nails. Then went on to drill my natural nail even more. I decided at that point I didn't want the dip powder again as it would make my nails even thinner. They are already paper thin. So she asked if I wanted my cuticles trimmed. Yes please, I said. So instead of pushing them back and trimming them with nippers, she used her drill and drilled them off, except she also drilled through my freakin' nails too. Now I have to wait months for that line of basically no nail to grow out. Hopefully my nail won't fall off in the meantime. Then she asked if I wanted them buffed. No dude, don't touch my nails with another file please for the love of god. This woman busts out a buffer and goes to town. Pic is where she drilled my cuticles off. You can see where she went through my nails. I wish nail techs wouldn't rush so much and take the time and actually give a damn about the health of their clients nails, not just getting a client out of the chair as fast as possible. read more

Im really glad they turned this space into a nail salon. It's not even a mile away from where I live, it's just so convenient to get in and out of. They greet you as soon as you walk in and it's very welcoming. There's a menu to choose from if you're getting a pedicure. My personal favorite is the jelly bead pedicure. It feels so nice to soak my feet in those beads. When I went in the first time I had shellac on my toes. They only charged me $5 total to remove it! Most places around here charge $8 per foot. The pedicure chairs are amazing here, they had so many options for massaging my back. That's really one of the reasons I get pedicure, the massage chair! They offered me several different things to drink, they had water, soda, and wine. They even have a daiquiri machine in the back! When I was done with my water, they immediately asked if I needed anything else. They have private rooms for waxing here. Its very calming back there in the rooms. My wax lady always takes great care of me. She takes her time and cleans the brows up nicely. It's not a good wax if the tweezers and scissors don't come out, imo. I'm very conflicted with this place. My gf goes here and her nails look amazing! Mine, not so much... I got pink powder nails and a pedicure. My pedicure looked phenomenal but my nails came out pretty bad. They aren't smooth (see picture) and the clear gel top coat "ran" as some gels do. She did a thin layer of the pink powder and then a thin clear layer of regular solar powder. I've never had anyone do that before? I'm just not happy with the shape or anything about my fingernails, but my pedicure was probably the best one I've ever had! Also, I was there for almost 3 hours and they did both my nails and pedicure at the same time. I honestly couldn't tell you what took so long? (My husband was also there and he received a massage with both his mani and pedi. ) The pedicure was incredibly uncomfortable. My heels are naturally dry, and when I left, they were dryer than when I arrived. Typically, I walk away from a manicure with very soft heels. Also, my tech cut my small toe with one of her tools on the skin by the nail causing it to bleed, and now it's hurting. In addition, there was no massage with my pedicure either. I found this salon on Google, and it has great reviews. I took my mother there, and we both received shellac Polish. The staff was friendly, and welcoming. However, I could see that skill was an issue. Although my nail technician was so pleasant, I overlooked the flaws in my manicure. Unfortunately, the shellac started chipping 2 days later. I went to have it repaired, and the service was not the same. I waited for awhile, and once finally sat down they did a rush job on the repair which made it look worse than when I entered. The shellac was bubbly, and the French manicure was sloppy. I felt as though they were just trying to get me out. The technician who fixed my nail seemed bothered, and just got up and walked off when she finished. I didn't even know she was done. If you're wanting a skilled design, or polished look I would not recommend. I paid $40 for a terrible looking manicure. Once again, some of the staff was pleasant. I have tried several nail salons in the Clear Lake area since moving here a year ago. Many are big names in the area. Valentino's beats them all. Very nice salon and very nice people. I had dipped nails done. Another salon in the area dipped my nails once and told me it was to make them look more natural. The nails came off within a week. Seems to be they were cutting corners to save product cost. At Valentino's, my nails were dipped 4 times. Yes, they are thicker but I know they will actually last for several weeks. My pedicure was also nicely done. I had not had one in a long time and the guy doing my feet took all the time he needed to do a good job. He was not rushed just to finish the job. My mani was done a week ago and it was great however I made the mistake today to try their pedicures. A male nail tech did my pedicure and made my toes bleed after digging into them too deep to clip cuticles. Great for manicures if you get the same girl I did. Awful if you get pedicures here. They even had another female nail tech come over to stop the bleeding and to finish my pedicure. And they overcharged me by $10 I received a basic pedicure was told on the phone it was $28 and instead charged $38. read more

I have been going to Valentino Nail Bar for about 3 years now and I have never been disappointed. Tommy usually does my nails and when he isn't available Annie has done them. Both do a fantastic job! I get so many compliments on my nails! Mr. Pho is the only one that I will let do my pedicures. He does an amazing job from the nails, the hot stone massages and the polishing. They are super creative and do acrylic/powder nails very well. Any design you show them, they replicate. HOWEVER, after one of my pedicures I took my nail polish off and realized I got fungus from this salon (it was the only one I'd been to). It took about a year to heal. Prices are also pretty high compared to others in the area. I would only go back for the nail art but I'm also hesitant because I don't want to deal with getting a fungal infection and treating it for a whole year read more

Three hours later while at work, I had to put on gloves as I work in the hospital. When I removed the glove, an entire nail came off and two chipped . I had to go back to the nail shop the next day to have that next day. They did fix my nails but didn't have the best attitude. Again hours later, another nail broke off. I received the coconut tropical pedicure and was very disappointed. Not everything advertised was actually done (there was no clay mask or extra massage). The massage provided was only a couple of minutes long, shorter than most basic pedicures I've gotten. In addition to that, my polish started to chip after a week and a half. This location is in the same strip as one of my favorite lunch restaurants, so we noticed it going in for lunch and decided to get a pedicure after lunch. This was the second day opening and they are having a grand opening special. First thing, I would like to say is the customer service was very good, attentive and engaged with the customers. It is really pretty in there and has a relaxing atmosphere. They only had 3 people doing nails and Pedi's so it took longer than it would normally, but it was the second day. they were still doing some prep while we were there working out some glitches. I give this a 4 star because the service was really great, the pedicure was a good one and the atmosphere is really nice. I will update when I go for my next pedicure after having lunch at my favorite lunch restaurant. I discovered this great nail place right around the corner from where I live. What a find! Walking in its lovely, state of the art spa chairs and services too. I lucked out and had Vanessa put on a new set of nails for me, I'm pretty picky about how they are done and fortunately she is a perfectionist, some of the best nails I've ever had. Lovely shape and looks completly natural and thin! While having my nails done Chu worked on my pedicure, wow another home run, great massage and she made me feel pampered, and my toes look great!
