What a lucky find! My sister and I were searching for a restaurant after an exhausting day of shopping. We checked our GPS for local fare and Valenti's was one of the many suggestions that popped up. We were hesitant at first because our experience with Italian restaurants has been less than stellar. Nonetheless, we decided to give it a chance and we're so glad we did! Our waiter, Giovanni, aka Johnny, provided excellent service and suggestions for our dining pleasure. We ordered lasagna and cannelloni, which we shared and I had a house glass of Sangiovese. The lasagna was the best I've ever had and the sauce was heavenly. The cannelloni was stuffed to the max with seafood and covered with a yummy cream sauce that complimented the delicious filling. We soaked up the excess sauce with the generous helping of Italian bread. As it turns out, Johnny is the son of the owner. He gave us the historical background of the restaurant while his Dad gave us the grand tour. Apparently, Valenti's has been a Venice staple for 30+ years. Now that's quite a feat, considering most restaurants fold in the first 3 years of operation. Valenti's is definitely worth the long trek to Venice. We will definitely be back and look forward to tasting some of the other fine offerings on the menu. read more

We gave up on Valenti's about 2 years ago when our food was served cold. We decided to give them another shot. We chose the pub side for the ambiance, which is truly incredible. Our servers name was Kelly, if I remember correctly and she was great. However, we were first being served drinks by another woman who was INCREDIBLY rude. Food wasn't great but we took home some Italian wedding cookies which were delicious. Don't think we need to give them another shot. read more

My friend Beth suggested we have lunch here today when she heard I had never tried this place before. Mariusz was our delightful and attentive waiter. We started with coffee for me and unsweetened tea for Beth. Then she wanted her favorite which was LASAGNA and I went for the MUSSELS with white wine and garlic sauce. Both excellent choices. We had a bad experience with service the last time we went to Valenti's but decided to give it another try on Saturday. Result- service was worse. No one greeted us when we came in. We were the only ones waiting. After 10 minutes I asked one of the waiters if there was a host. He got the host who was also a waiter and told us it would be another 10 minutes. We then got a table and waited 10 minutes when I asked a waiter if they could have our server come by. No one was friendly at all. We will not go there again. This food was awful. My pizza was very soggy and not enjoyable. It is very hard to screw up pizza at an Italian restaurant. The staff was not friendly and there were small children running in and out of the kitchen constantly. We will not be going there again and I suggest anywhere else. Food critics will be disappointed. The place is really cute, very clean, and welcoming! It smells delicious when you walk in. We were there early on a Sunday night. It wasn't crowded when we arrived, but slowly got crowded. Our server came right over and was super friendly. We ordered our food, and were brought some wonderful bread with olive oil dipping. Very good. The prices were reasonable for what we got - I can't complain about that at all. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Then... we never saw our server again. It was a busy night, I understand, but it was very frustrating to just keep sitting and sitting and sitting waiting. We wanted dessert, but passed on it because we didn't want to sit there any longer. We got the bill and left. Don't get me wrong, she was very nice - just pulled a disappearing act. But, other than that, this was an amazing place to eat and I will definitely be back. I just hope the service is a little better next time. read more

I've passed this restaurant for three years and finally decided to stop in with some friends. We sat in the lounge, an eclectic mix trying to resemble home, and decided to try appetizers. I usually like to try the appetizers to see if I'm enticed to try the meals. In this case, no meals would be ordered. I ordered lobster bisque. No lobster meet was evident in this bowl. Worse, the taste was of uncooked flour. My wife ordered a personal size pizza. It tasted worse than a frozen store bought pizza. It was as though they took a boboli crust and smeared on a jar sauce and shredded cheese. Italian onion soup was ordered but (thankfully?) it was not available. Finally, fried ravioli was ordered. These overly fried pieces looked like they found a bag of old, miniature raviolis in the freezer and dumped them in the fryer. Based upon our experience with the appetizers, we did not order dinner and probably never will be back. read more

The service was the saving grace for this place. We came for my parents' anniversary and the food was so disappointing. My dad had the shrimp parm and it was so soggy the breading was like paste. The waiter offered him a plate of fried shrimp instead and it was very obvious that it was frozen. My mom had the shrimp and scallops pasta and although the menu said it would be seared, it was not. She said her wine and the house salad were the best parts of her meal. My chicken parm pizza was good but not anything that I would go back for. The lobster bisque had imitation lobster without any sign of actual lobster. The waiter was apologetic and wanted to do anything he could to give us a better experience but it wasn't enough for us to want to come back. Wait staff very attentive, I had eggplant parmigiana, others had chicken valenti and pasta with meat sauce. Went to Valenti's for the first time and have mixed feelings about the place. The service was not very good (wait staff running back and forth but not accomplishing much) and our server was the worst. We hardly saw her--except at a distance--all evening. Two chicken dishes (scallopine and Valenti's) were good but the eggplant parmesan made up for it. We didn't care for the sauce, but that's a matter of taste. The real complaint was that it was hard to find any eggplant hidden inside the breading. We may be peculiar but we think eggplant parmesan should contain more than a trace of eggplant. When our server asked (she didn't seem interested in the answer) how we liked the food we said that the eggplant parmesan was terrible. Not so much as a comment. There are several good Italian restaurants in the area so it will be a long time before we return to Valenti's--if ever. read more

This place has the bomb ass food. Italian restaurants in Venice are a dime-a-dozen, but this is where I go when I'm in the mood for some pasta. The floor in the dining room is tile, sort of like a cafeteria, but you won't notice that once you've gorged yourself on their gigundous portions. The linguini with clam sauce is almost unbelievable. Also, they've opened the "Intermezzo" lounge right next door, which you can access from the dining room. The decor in there is spot-on; it's a great place to have a drink. I had a business lunch in the dining room and it is a very quaint place. Staff is very friendly and service on point. The menu is extensive; making it very hard for me to decide what I wanted to try. I went with the Chicken mozzarella which is served on linguini. It had a large amount of chicken, which made me happy and it was cooked perfectly. I wish it was spicier with a little more spinach. But all in all a good plate. Though I am not a bread fan, they do provide bread to the table and it was very fresh and warm. Lots of yummy looking homemade sweets at the front. If only I wasn't stuffed from the huge portion of pasta! I can see this place as a great dinner spot when in the mood for some authentic Itallan food. read more

If I could give zero I would! I have never had a meal I could honestly say was not edible until now. I ordered the Veal cuttlet parm. I really don't know what the problem was. I couldn't tell if the Veal was bad if the oil it was cooked in was old and dirty or possibly both. It was just a horrible horrible taste. My date had the chicken parm and it had that same taste but not quite as bad. Something was very wrong with the food. The reviews were quite good so I was very surprised that the food was soooooo bad. Maybe just an off night I don't know. In any event I would never go back nor recommend eating here. Called at noon and was given a 6pm reservation. Arrived at 6pm and told there was no reservation. Had to ask attendant twice for an answer after he "checked". No apology. No solution. We left. We won't go back. My suggestion is that you train everyone who answers your phones about your reservation policy. Such a frustrating experience! read more

If I could give it a 0/10 I most definitely would. It was my Birthday and we wanted to try out so different Italian beside Olive Garden. It was the worst mistake we could make. This place looked cute and the prices were great for the portion size, but the food quality is horrible. We ordered the fried ravioli which first came out hot on the outside cold on the inside, we had them take it back and it came out burnt. We also ordered fried Calamari and it was mushy and gross. We waited for our entree to come and they looked great. It was not The Pesto, The Beef Ravioli, The Shrimp and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo were edible and not enjoyable. Visited Valenti's Restaurant on 6/21/19. Have been there before and everything was good. This time,we had a disaster. My husband wanted a dish they offered but to substitute sausage for chicken or veal. This was a big problem for the waitress. Sausage could only be added not substituted. Ok but then I ordered Lobster Ravioli which was covered in a horrible cream sauce. Just could not eat it. Waitress said nothing wrong with the dish and I was the problem. Said she was not taking it off the bill. I didn't ask her too. She was rude and quite disturbed that I dare to complain. I rarely complain in a restaurant but that food was just awful. Never send it back for fear of what they will do to it. My husband left her a 20% tip after I told him not to. Service like this does not deserve a tip and we are good tippers appreciating the efforts of good servers. This woman turned a nice dinner out into a nightmare. read more

I visited Valentines day and that was a big mistake!!!!!! We were seated within 15 minutes, and Jan the waitress took our wine order. It was promptly delivered. That was the last time we saw Jan, I asked after 30 minutes, "what happened to our waitress?" she passed us a few times, saw the open menus ignored us completely!!!! Jan never delivered the water, but took orders from the people on the other side of the restaurant. Service is more than super slow, it is almost non existent...... We often visit valentis for dinner every other time we are in venice. The lounge definitely has more foot traffic and atmosphere. The wait staff is friendly and the food is good. We ordered the fish of the day which was great, seafood cannelloni which was disappointing this time around something changed and a pizza that tasted super fresh!
