I'm from Oklahoma, spending some time in the Washington area and had not gotten a cut in a LONG time. I looked at a few barber shops in the Seattle area and was drawn to Valiant. Looked through - well creeped on all the barbers there haha - went with my gut and booked a time with Tyler. I was not disappointed. He did an incredible job. From the moment I got in the chair, the conversation started and I honestly felt like I had known Tyler and had been going to Valiant forever. He keeps the time in the chair chill, full of energy and explained some of the cutting process - which made me feel really good. The atmosphere in the shop is sick. Best music and best vibe. I've gotten my hair cut by Colton here three times now and could not be more satisfied. Each time I've gotten multiple compliments on the haircuts. In addition, the haircuts have grown in really well too; last time I went six weeks between appointments. In addition to his talents as a barber, Colton is a super genuine guy that keeps the conversation two way. The shop also has a very fun and non-pretentious vibe. The barbers are all very funny without trying. I pay more here than I have at other shops, but the quality and consistency make it totally worth the price. read more

I live in Seattle, but I travel regularly to Spokane. Saturday my wife and daughters were off shopping so I decided to find a barber to get a beard trim and a haircut. I stumbled upon Valiant online. Very easy online booking, and a short easy walk from my hotel downtown. Upon arrival Colin was finishing up with someone else. I was greeted and offered a beverage while I waited. I knew how I wanted my beard trimmed, but I was unsure about my haircut. Colin did a fabulous job on my beard. He asked a lot of questions to make sure we were on the same page. My haircut, he asked what I normally do, and he built from there. He explained how he could work with my hair type, my head shape, and tie it in with my beard. This is the best haircut I've ever received. He took his time, styled it, and used a hot towel and straight razor on my neck. My only regret, I don't live in Spokane, if I did Valiant would my only barber. read more

Valiant Barber and Supply gives great haircuts and has the best barbers in Seattle. I have seen Tommy for almost two years now and constantly get great compliments on my haircuts. Everyone there is very friendly and the place has a great vibe. The location is great and you can grab coffee next door when waiting for your cut. read more

Just a bunch of guys being dudes! If you can handle some vulgar language and jokes that will likely offend your mom, I highly suggest this place. These guys are some of the most professional people around. Show up on time, tip well, and don't be a jerk. Valiant is an approachable, no-frills barber shop that does a great haircut, every time. Colin has been cutting my hair for three-odd years now, and I've followed him from shop to shop and I'm incredibly proud to recommend anyone who needs a haircut to book an appointment with him in the shop that he owns. They use a really website/app that makes booking an appointment really easy, and Colin is a craftsman, as far as I'm concerned. He constantly works on bettering his technique and learning from stylists and barbers around the country, and as a fellow artist and craftsperson I can respect and admire someone who gets as excited about the work they get to do as he does. First time I walked into a shop where he was cutting I was a pre-T transgender guy who got called 'ma'am' all the time. I didn't get sold on getting a 'feminine' haircut here, I didn't get any crap, I just got a really good haircut that made my day and gave me a lot of confidence, and every time I've come back Colin gives the same level of respect to the work he does and the people who come in. He's one of the good ones, and I'd trust anyone else who Colin brings in to bring the same level of dedication. Get your damn hair cut, and get it cut here. read more

The shop has a well lit and inviting feel and the barbers are super talented and passionate about their work. I've been looking for a good barber in Seattle for a while, as I just moved back here. The fact that yelp had photos here helped me make the choice. I was able to book an appointment with Emilio Paul. He listened to what I had to say and talked through the hairstyle I wanted. I'm always nervous when going to a new barber, but the fact that he listened so intently made me less nervous. The haircut is perfect, and definitely the best one I have gotten!
