We rented a property from NFVH for four nights and paid nearly $10,000 for the stay. The house, Knickerbocker Estate, itself is very large, the bedrooms are spacious, and it is well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen supplies. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by issues that were only disclosed after check-in. Upon arrival we were informed that there was a problem with the water heater and that guests should stagger their showers. For our group of eight golfers on a tight schedule, that simply wasn't practical. The problem went beyond inconvenience. The water heater issue caused the electricity to trip three separate times during our stay. On multiple occasions people were left in the shower with the lights out and only cold water. We also paid extra to have the pool heated, but the water was lukewarm at best, and we could not use it. I also attempted to post a review describing this experience on the company's website, but the company declined to publish it, stating that they have discretion over which reviews appear on their platform. For that reason, prospective renters should take the reviews on their site with a grain of salt, as it appears that not all guest experiences are shared there.

On a whim, we found Sea Star Property Management and they had a spectacular rental available for our stay in Cape Coral. All of our communication with Sea Star was via e-mail. We booked, paid our initial deposit, and balance prior to arrival all online. About a week before our trip, we received a confirmation e-mail with detailed directions to the home and instructions on how to open the lock box. When we arrived at the home, we found the home in pristine condition and exactly as pictured. There was a set of instructions on pool usage, and some other info about the home. Our rental property was everything you would want in a rental home -- very good appliances, some kitchen utensils, along with dishes and glasses. The home also included high speed internet and cable TV package from Comcast. We had a few questions about how the control panel for the pool worked and after we called Sea Star, the owner of Sea Star stopped by the next day to show us how it worked. It was nice that he was available and was very professional about everything. Our only wish was that the electric allowance that was given was a bit more than what they allowed us -- we totally understand that some renters could run the pool heater 24/7 and jack up the electric bill, but we felt that we were paying close to prime rental rates and we could have received a slightly larger electric allowance. All in though, we were very pleased with Sea Star Property and will be condsidering them for a longer rental next year! We can't wait.

I rented condo on Bonita Beach…read morein November 2017 for March 2018 and when I arrived March 1 I got a "so sorry, but that place isn't available", but lo and behold they had one across the street and just a short walk to the beach. They would not talk to me on the phone and would only email. I had prepaid for the beach unit and they had my money. I had prepaid a car for the month and had a return flight for March 31. I was stuck and they knew it. I rented through FlipKey (a TripAdvisor company) who has a money back guarantee if you are denied access to the unit rented. FlipKey is refusing to honor their guarantee and have punted to the property manager - Bay Point/IPG. They have offered me $200 for my troubles, which is what they are claiming is the difference in rental value of a beach condo and a non-beach condo. Horribly unethical. Run around doesn't even begin to describe the treatment I've gotten. Avoid them like the plague!

There are two beaches with the most beautiful waters I have ever seen just a short walk away. No matter if your looking for a vacation to just relax or venture out this island is for you. Rented Bonita Beach Oasis, located at 543 East Valley Street in Bonita Springs from 2/24/24 to…read more3/16/24. We had a POOR experience due to a pool with an algae problem, a profusely leaking kitchen faucet, an upper kitchen cabinet that came apart at the joints (droppIng shelves and dishes,) a non-draining basin in the master bath shower and other miscellaneous issues. We worked with the property management company to notify her of issues in a timely manner and to provide access for maintenance providers. We became aware that the owner was aware of pump/filter issues with the pool prior to our arrival. The owner was aware of the issue with the faucet as he promised, as communicated by the property manager, to drop a new one off for installation by staff. Communication with the property manager went from delayed response to excuses and promises of future action to no response. She quit returning our calls 3 days before our departure. While we have tried to communicate with her by email (as requested) we have had no communication with her since March 13. Bonita Springs is a beautiful Florida destination if you choose another hospitality vendor and rental. Our advice is to stay away from Collier Global and this rental property.
