I typically go to the Vallarta in Colton and it's so much nicer and overall, much better. I wasn't greeted by anyone here - except the person at the front asking for money. I truly felt like I was being avoided and didn't know why. Worked my way to the meat counter and pulled a number to wait. I needed pork chops, but a thicker cut than what they offer & this has never been an issue at the other location. I was called and the guy wasn't friendly - ignored me actually as I greeted them with "hi, how are you". I informed exactly what I needed and even said "thicker cut than what you have out" - to which he walked me over to what is already out. I then asked "so can you cut thicker ones?" And he said no. I left without anything and went to Stater Brothers instead, and they did indeed cut what I needed. If they couldn't, for whatever reason, that's fine but it was the lack of any customer service or friendliness while here. No thanks. Never again. read more

The cucina has wonderful hot ready to eat Mexican food. And it's all made onsite in their kitchen. I'm not Mexican - I just love the food. My wife enjoyed the carnitas tacos today- liked the sweetness of onions and great taste & tenderness of the carnitas. I had the chili relleno plate - my favorite- and the quality is much better than some served at restaurants. The prices are competitive and quality is exceptional. However, this is not a restaurant- just takeaway with a few tables inside a terrific supermarket. Nice, clean, and spacious supermarket. They even have self check out. Plenty of parking outside. Not too busy. Prices are a bit high and workers aren't that nice but I loved all of the selections of candies and fresh foods. I will definitely be back. Worse experience ever, I came for a causal purchase with my sibling and was chased by the security guard all around. I have a cart filled with groceries. And I felt watched and insecure of my safety was compromised by the way the security was following me through the store. If it weren't for me needing to buy the essentials items and my food for the night, The security guards name is sergio and I would suggest to make sure he is doing ethical work because I felt discriminated against because of my race. Love shopping here. The vegetables are always very good. And there always seems to be enough of everything. The employees are very respectful and easily available for assistance. The atmosphere here always gives out good vibes and comfortablity. Parking is more than enough. Too bad some customers don't place their cart back in the stalls. But it's ok, I enjoy getting them together and taking them back for others easy access. Now this morning at 9:30 we got there to buy some pan dulce,bolillos, couple veggies, and cinnamon rolls. As we just got in line. We were the 3rd person in line and a very beautiful young lady who is an employee there,guided us and assisted us in the self checkout lane. We very rarely utilize that lane. More because I don't know how to use it.:) Nonetheless, we were at and with cashier name: SCO 82 and I believe her name Marina or Marianna. I hope I got it right. But she was so very kind and had the most beautiful smile. Very courteous in how she assisted us. Looking you directly in the eyes is such a high form of respect. Whoever hired her,please give yourselves a congratulations and pat on the back because you can tell this beautiful young lady has a beautiful character and much integrity not just in her work ethics but in her daily walk in life. I'm absolutely floored at how poor the customer service has gotten. I went over to the cheese counter and asked the lady behind the counter for some cotija cheese. She didn't speak any English so she called over her coworker to assist. She came over and said "what do you want" as if I was inconveniencing her. I told her that I just need a quarter pound of the cotija cheese and she said that they only sell them whole or half a block. I told her that I don't need that much and it will go to waste. They don't have the biggest selection in meats but it's always fresh when I shop there. They do have quit a variety to choose from still. The lines do get crowded quick. Nice big mexican market. I liked how they had a bigger variety of salsas and guacamole compared to Northgate market. They have a whole togo food section where you can buy tamales, carnitas, chicken and other mexican food. Market was clean plenty of parking and everyone followed social distancing rules and were wearing masks. read more
