The place was smaller than other 99 ranch markets I've been to, but they still had a deli and bakery. The staff weren't around at the bakery, not sure if it's because you can checkout at the main checkout place. The deli had a staff so I was helped with their meal combo, it looked really good so I wanted to try it out. I got a 3item combo for around $14, and it comes with a side and 3 dishes which I got fried chicken pieces, pork, and a beef dish with chow mein. You can also eat there since they had tables and seating! The food was pretty good, I think it was worth it and it was warm still. The place was fairly empty but still had people shopping, I think it's a good 99 ranch markets stop for when I need Asian groceries. read more

I needed to buy specific Vietnamese products, ingredients that I needed to make a recipe I saw on Facebook. I saw the reviews on 99 Ranch and thought that I would be successful. Although there were many service employees on the floor, very few of them, spoke English enough to understand my request. I was a little frustrated and short on time because I had gone during my lunchtime, which is only 30 minutes. The store was well organized, and very clean and with ample supplies and products. Unfortunately didn't find anything I was looking for, but did purchase beautiful produce, which is a universal language, lol. Glad there is a location in Anaheim. I greatly enjoy stopping by to grab some Chinese veggies, fruits and snacks. I frequent the hot deli for the bbq pork by the pound. It's originally $13.99 a pound but on sale it's only $9.99 a pound. The gentleman that runs the kitchen and helps to go hot food service is nice. The 99 Ranch Supermarket been an anchor to this plaza for couple decades. This location shares the same location with Goodwill, a Thai restaurant and many other smaller establish that had a change of ownership throughout the years. Recently, a well-known bakery took up a space within this older plaza. Although there are plenty of parking spaces, customers all tend to gravitate around the same three aisles near 99-Ranch. I tend to park further away so I have lots of spaces around me. 99 Ranch Supermarket is a chain-grocery store for fantastic Asian goods for everyday essentials in many Asian households. During a recent visit, the supermarket became a must-visit spot for Chinese Lunar New Year items--everything from red envelopes, dried CNY auspicious fruits and Gladiolus flowers to delicious, sweet treats. These products are stacked in the center for easy finds. Several years ago, the food court had a renovation so nicely blending the bakery and hot-food bar seemingly (and thankful got rid of the turnstile) that separated the market from the food court. The market has the standard offering of fresh meat/fish, lots of frozen buns and interestingly a very wide variety of tofu. This is the few locations that disappoints me Lee Kum Kee sauces are limited (type of sauces). Unless there's a huge sale on Asian Pears or papayas, I tend to shop by the food court and the snack area. The bakery always has some BOGO deal but supplies are limited so weekends have better chance of scoring some major pastries. The Hot Bar is definitely my favorite. I usually grab a combo plate that I can split for lunch and save the other half for dinner. TIP: There's self checkout stations but not well used by shoppers!!! Today I had stopped by the 99 Ranch Market so I can go to the hot food deli section because I was in the hunt for bbq pork buns! I noticed that a great amount of hot food area has been gone including the bbq pork buns that I've been craving for. The deli area has a good amount of items to choose from and next to it has a bakery section that you can purchase drinks and pastries as well. This market looks a lot nicer and will be stopping by again when in the area. Am I thrilled about the hot deli area? No but today I did purchase their dimsum items that was left which was a different kind of bbq pork buns (overcooked), chicken buns (not a fan), pork tiny spare ribs, and their tripe. But my favorite time to visit and shop here is during Chinese new year! My review is solely on the fish dept. I went today to get some fried tilapia and the younger Hispanic gentleman was helping a couple ahead of me, so I waited. A Hispanic customer came up after me [I'm Asian] and he proceeds to speake in Spanish to her and I tell him I was there first and he disregarded me and proceeded to take her order which she ended up taking the tilapia that I chose leaving only 3 small meatless ones left. I walked out and will not be coming back to this place. Whoever the owner is should reprimand their employee or at least have someone supervising. read more

On August 13, 2025, I purchased a bag of clams at 99 Ranch Market, and when I got home, I discovered that ALL of them were DEAD with a bad smell--clearly unsafe to eat. I spent nearly 40 minutes driving round trip to return them. While the store processed a refund, they refused to offer any additional compensation. This is a serious food safety issue and very disappointing. This experience has completely shaken my confidence in the seafood quality at this location. Their dim sum selection seemed lacking the main items and I was not feeling all that hungry for a two item combo ($10.99) I'll reserve judgement on that as I did not partake in the food. I really like this location in Anaheim, close to my house so I don't have to go all the way to Westminster area. Large parking lot with surrounding food businesses in the same plaza. It's always less crowded here and I noticed this location has been remodeled so it's a lot nicer and clean. Staff are usually friendly and helpful but sometimes they do take a little longer when you need to get the specialist stuff such as liquor that's locked up. I was born in China and so I would say I can speak with some Authority on the authenticity of chinese food and groceries, and 99 Ranch typically satisfies me and gets me what I want. There is a wide selection of things from mainland China and you'll see quite a bit from Taiwan and Hong Kong as well. There's also some Korean and Japanese Foods as well. Where 99 Ranch really shines is being able to get in my opinion much fresher and cheaper vegetables and fruits than anywhere else. This is where I tend to get all my mangos, Lee cheese, there is vegetables, herbs, garlic green onion etc. In the last few years nine and I Ranch was also been expanding it to provide pre-cooked meals and the like, which I really enjoy as well. I especially like their steamed pork buns but they also make chicken buns and even char siu buns, and while it's expensive they're half duck is pretty decent if you spread it out into more than one meal. read more

I was really surprised they put a ranch 99 out in this part of town considering it doesn't have that much of an Asian demographic comparable to other ranch 99 locations. That said, was glad to get Asian items here so close to work. I found some lychee juice boxes my nephews enjoy that are sold out at the markets in Westminster. (I got a bunch but it'll be the last time probably because of its high sugar content and it only being 8 percent actual lychee juice but anyway). Produce selection is not that fresh but not bad to have some variety in the area, as I don't know of any other Asian market around there. I came to see the remodel and ordered TOFU from the to go area. The lady gave me some sort of fish instead. I am vegitarian by religious obligation and I don't appreciate employees not paying attention to what they're serving. I tried calling the store since traffic is a nightmare. I was put on hold twice and disconnected both times never speaking to a human and any point. So their customer service doesn't care much what their employees do. I doubt I'd get a refund anyway. A credit for a free order of TOFU would be nice, and some employee training so they can actually tell which food is which.
