Wonderful experience, authentic Mexican food and top notch service. Would highly recommend the street tacos.

This is a one & done for me. The food was bland. The salsa had a strange flavor - not bad, but definitely not good. The food came quickly, but then the server forgot about us. It took forever to get his attention to bring the bill. Eventually he brought his portable card processor & just left it on the table. There was no way for us to check the bill - he expected us to just pay what he said was the total. FYI - the Taco Tuesday specials end at 3pm. Mediocre at best. read more

I received poor food & service in my last visit with my wife. Resulted in no charge, as I ate very little of what was served.

Overall just okay. Everything felt like it was missing something, or had too much of something, and usually we have leftovers from Mexican places, but not here. read more

I was definitely disappointed by this place personally. All the 5* reviews are a year + old, so maybe something has changed since then but I won't be going back. Kinda an argument for a 2 star but it was eatable so gave it 3 instead. Saturday night at 6:30 and there were only groups at 3 tables, rest of place was empty....Not a great sign. Server was very polite and friendly but the food just wasn't good. I did love the decor inside though as well. My 2 tacos were like $11 and overpriced IMO. Steak wasn't bad and the best part probably but the pastor was not good at all. It had zero char and felt boiled almost. Queso was decent but the thickness of concrete and I could lift up the bowl with the spoon in it after it cooled a bit. I had driven past it sooo many times and had to try it but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. Still trying to find my close to the house local Mexican spot. read more

I decide to try this place bc their reviews were good. I walked young who prepping or making drinks, told me to sit wherever. The service was quick. To be honest, I came for the Burrito and Pupusas. They only had one kind left so I ordered the revuelta. I honestly thought that it was going to come out with curtido and salsa de tomate. It came out with pico de Gallo and sort of tomato sauce which didn't taste at all like the normal tomato sauce. We were greeted at the door by a friendly young guy who it turned out was the greeter and everyone's waiter. There were only a few people in here at lunch time which seemed peculiar to me. The chips and salsa which are complimentary were brought to our table right away. I ordered the Tuesday special which was $ 2.50 Street tacos, I chose 2 shredded chicken and 2 steak tacos. My friend ordered the tamale plate, which included 2 tamales covered in green chili sauce and beans and rice. The chips were not very good, they seemed stale. The salsa on the other hand was to our liking . My tacos were very good with plentiful helpings of meat in all of them. The tamale plate was a mixed bag. The tamales were overcooked but still tasty. The green chili sauce was runny and we only found 2 small pieces of pork in the sauce. The beans were rather flavorless and the rice was just bad. The service was awesome, the tacos were good , salsa was delicious but the tamale plate was a fail. I won't be going back in the future there are many better choices for Mexican food in this area. read more

A very enjoyable experience! The ambience is casual, but festive... The margaritas are strong but very yummy (our group was drinking coin margs). And the food was delicious! Most of us (myself included) ordered the street tacos, Carne Asada and Al Pastor, which were both quite tasty & authentic! We liked the jalapeño salsa better than the green chili salsa but both were pretty good. One of the highlights was the fajitas that came out sizzling hot and reported as exceptional! read more

Brief update: we continue to get good food and good service here, and the food is now fairly quick coming out of the kitchen. The street tacos are an especially good choice for a light lunch; the chicken filling is especially tasty, with lots of little chunks of marinated chicken. read more

Let's talk food: Chips and salsa: Free, salty and the salsa is your trad type of salsa for a trad Mexican restaurant. Was it flavorful? Hells Yeah! Did it work well with the chips? Hells Yeah x2 The Tamale A La Carte: This was super tasty. I enjoyed the green chili sauce and how it helped bring the tamale flavors to life. Nothing out of the ordinary for a traditional Mexican restaurant but still good! The Chicken Quesadilla: I came here because I was craving quesadillas. The search for my favorite quesadilla will continue. I enjoyed the flavor and presentation but was a little bummed by the size. I was super hungry if you couldn't tell by what I ordered for this meal. I guess I was hoping for more heartier quesadillas. I will say though these were still good. Who's this Place For: You, me, friends, families. Pretty much anyone under the sun will have a good meal here and enjoy a vibey atmosphere. Service: Service was great! We were pretty disappointed in this restaurant. I will say the service was good. We had a group of six, all of us ordered different dishes. I got the Carnitas plate. I don't want to say the food was bad, but it wasn't great. I asked for spicy sauce on my Carnitas, it wasn't even mild. The beans and rice had no flavor. The chips tasted like the refried in old oil, the salsa had no flavor. We will skip this place in the future. read more

Surprised at our experience based on the high reviews. Our usual spot in the area is Efrain's, but they don't take reservations and we were a party of 6 so didn't want to risk a long wait on a Friday evening. The service was decent but the food was disappointing. I had the carnitas plate and at other restaurants it's often a challenge to finish it. No such issue here, there was maybe 3 oz of meat all told. I thought they'd brought just the rice and beans first and that the meat was coming, but when I looked closer I could see there was a small bit of meat on the plate after all. The flavors were ok, but not that interesting. Wife's tortilla soup was good, though not the typical tomato-based soup. She enjoyed it. Margs were pretty good. We'll stick with Efrain's for now, too bad. read more

Had dinner here for the first time with my wife. We live very close by so we thought we should try it. Server was attentive and friendly. Answered any questions we had. Great salsa with the chips. We had two house margaritas which were great. Food was awesome. My wife has street tacos and I had a burrito. Both were great. Not too heavy. Food came out on time as well. A new addition to our neighborhood, taking over the location of Dos Wapos. We have had a few of the dishes from here, and they have all been extremely tasty, and some of them absolutely DELICIOUS! The salsa and guacamole are wonderful, and all of the meat choices we have tried have been very, very good. Portions are good, and the owners are friendly. I ordered the Valle's burrito and it wasn't very flavorful. Meat tasted and chewed like low quality. The biggest mistake I made was drop the extra cash to get the cheese smothering on top and and just wasn't good. Good service and ambience though.
