We read all the negative reviews but decided we would go to Milford Animal Hospital because no other vets within 30 miles would see a new patient sooner than a month. We are glad we went. Everything was professional, the staff was extremely friendly, and Dr. Grasso explained everything. Our dog had a cyst in the skin on his back that was leaking and needed to be removed. Doctor Grasso suggested laser surgery. After we researched it we realized that was the best surgery; it leads to fewer infections, less pain, and faster healing. Everything went perfect. When our dog was able to get his hind leg miraculously up and start to scratch the incision line on his back we took him back on short notice and Dr.Grasso very diligently examined the suture line and then dressed it and suggested we put a surgery suit on him. That worked like a miracle. We have only good things to say about our experience and recommend everybody give Dr. Grasso and his staff a chance. And, no, we are not related to him :)

On Monday, June 29, 2026, I witnessed a young couple bring in a badly injured baby deer. After…read moretalking to the couple, I got the full story of what had happened.     The couple witnessed a hit and run on the baby deer on Milford road. There was no cell service to call the authorities, so they took the baby deer to the nearby Milford Animal Hospital. The entire time, the baby deer was crying in pain and had blood spurting out of its mangled hind legs.     When they got to hospital, most of the staff, with the exception of one, were hesitant for an hour to help. All the couple wanted was a sedative for the baby deer to calm it down and stop the suffering but were informed they needed to pay $150 for the shot. Again, the baby deer was crying in pain and bleeding. The Pike County Game Warden eventually came to take the baby deer. It was at that moment the staff came out to administer the shot but were informed by the Game Warden that it was too late.     The Game Warden left with the baby deer and when the couple tried to leave, the staff stopped them and informed them that they had to pay $150 for the shot that was never administered.     Absolutely heartless. All Milford Animal Hospital cares about is money and not the well-being of animals. I know for a fact that other animal hospitals have euthanized deer or at least sedated them until they can figure out what to do next. Their lack of sympathy and compassion calls into question Milford Animal Hospital's treatment and care of animals.
