Be very careful when taking your Tesla to EV Elite. I had read several good reviews and decided to…read moregive them a chance with an A/C issue I was experiencing. Because I work full-time, I had my girlfriend take the vehicle to their shop. They charge approximately $200 for a diagnostic, which I was completely fine with. I understand that time and expertise cost money, and I expected their team to have the proper knowledge and equipment to accurately diagnose the problem. Their Tesla technician looked at my vehicle for approximately 20 minutes or less and concluded that I needed an A/C compressor replacement along with radiator/condenser cleaning. I was quoted over $2,500 for the repair. While they were preparing my invoice, my girlfriend overheard the technician speaking with another customer who had a Model Y. After looking at her vehicle for what appeared to be 10 minutes or less, she was also told that she needed a new A/C compressor. Of course, two different Teslas can have the same problem, but given how quickly both diagnoses were made, it raised concerns for me. I told my girlfriend to pay the $200 diagnostic fee because they had spent time looking at the vehicle. I then personally spoke with their lead Tesla technician over the phone. I explained that I had already run the vehicle's HVAC tests through Tesla Service Mode and that the compressor had passed its internal test. His response was very firm, and his tone became argumentative. He insisted that the compressor was bad and that he knew what he was talking about. I decided not to argue and took the vehicle elsewhere for a second opinion. I ultimately brought the vehicle directly to Tesla. Tesla kept the vehicle for two days to properly diagnose the A/C issue and provided me with a Cybertruck as a loaner during the process. After their diagnosis, Tesla determined that my A/C compressor was in good condition and did NOT need to be replaced. The issue was addressed with radiator/condenser cleaning rather than replacing the compressor. Based on my experience, I am very glad that I did not authorize the $2,500+ repair at EV Elite. I would have potentially paid for an expensive compressor replacement that Tesla later determined was unnecessary. I cannot speak for anyone else's experience or say with certainty what the shop's intentions were, but the situation left me seriously questioning the accuracy of the diagnosis and whether I was being sold an unnecessary repair. The fact that another Tesla owner with a completely different model and year was given the same compressor diagnosis within minutes only added to my concerns. If you receive an expensive diagnosis from this shop, especially for an A/C compressor replacement, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing the work. In my case, getting that second opinion saved me thousands of dollars on a unnecessary repair I attached photos for proof of some of the things I've stated above

They said the cost of repairs would be more than the car is worth.. I didn't think the car accident was that bad and asked for details, they wouldn't provide any. They refused to help me get my car off their lot and I had to pay a separate tow company to retrieve my car. After taking it to a different mechanic I was informed that the repairs would only cost about $2,000 and it did not need to be salvaged. These people are either associated with ambulance chasers or they employ ambulance chasers. It seems predatory in my opinion and I had a terrible experience with their mechanics.

I have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe sport that has started to have issues. Engine and catalytic converter have been replaced by the dealership and the issues with the car just went downhill with it. Turned it off came to get me and asked me if that was the noise (once we were both in the car) something that no one else has had the courtesy to do. He spent time looking at my car.
