We are so happy we went with VCM for our move from out of state. The process was simple and easy from the start. Great communication from the initial quote to the revised estimate after we had a better idea of our inventory. We packed everything on our own, but they were quick and efficient wrapping all of the furniture, packing the trucks, transporting our goods and unloading. Our experience with Valley Custom Moving has been fantastic! We used them to move from the Bay Area to Eagle, ID. We had them store our items for 4 months and then deliver everything to our new home. We moved here from Las Vegas 18 months ago with CVM doin' the dirty work! I was amazed on the day they arrived to load us up. There was only two guys, our home was almost 3,000 sf and they had already loaded, earlier that morning, another home our size also headed for Treasure Valley! Really?? Who's got that kind of energy! They got things loaded in record time and honestly, we were blown away by how beautifully they worked together. Seamless! We arrived in Meridian two days later and CVM showed up with about 4 or 5 guys to unload. It was crazy busy and they placed everything just as I had directed and before you knew it, now our big job had arrived! Unloading all the boxes! They were Great! About a year later, the hard surface flooring in our home failed and had to be replaced. Custom Valley was there for us. They moved all the necessary furniture into the garage for us so the job could be done. We were super disappointed about this whole nightmare of a job, but CVM did their part perfectly, as usual. They arrived a few days later and got everything back into place. Recently they saved the day by putting our china hutch back together. With very little notice they made it happed. Our experience with this company, and the guys who came and moved our big furniture (Josh? and Gavin) was top notch. They were both efficient (barely stopped moving) and courteous. They wrapped our furniture and asked all the necessary questions, and answered all our questions. Very professional. We were moving from our rental home to our new home 3 minutes away. We only needed them to move the big furniture. Start to finish (they even disassembled our bed and put it back together) it took them about 2.5 hours. I would 100% hire them again and I will be recommending them other friends and family in the TV. In fact, in my search to find movers, it was almost impossible to find anyone who had openings in August on the days (we had about 4 days in different weeks we could have moved) we had available. VCM had availability and were very upfront with prices and timing etc. I had also called another big name mover in the Valley. They said it was going to take them 8 hours to move our stuff and that they would charge us 15 minutes twice for them to take their truck to our house and from our house back to their warehouse.... and we were in the same Boise zip code! Ridiculous. I told them that it didn't even take them 4 full hours to move all our stuff in and out of our home when we moved from out of state 6 months ago! So... long story short, don't call around... Call Valley Custom Moving FIRST!! Oh and call WEEKS ahead of time in the summer otherwise you might be in a bind. The only reason I am docking one star is because they said they were going to move us in the afternoon. That worked perfectly for us on that day. But 10:30 AM I got a call that they had finished their first job of the day early and were heading over. This caused me a lot of stress since we were not prepared for their arrival and I had planned that entire morning to get everything ready for them by 1 or 2 pm which was our original quote. Things worked out in the end, but it was very stressful for me, so I thought you guys would appreciate that feedback. And again, thank you VCM! We will 100% hire you again! read more

Was looking for someone that could move an elliptical from one location to another, and Valley Custom Monitoring exceeded our expectations! They were prompt, courteous, and were able to take care of us on short notice. Do not use this company if you have nice furniture. We contracted them for a move on a large house and we're completely honest about the size and complexity of the move. They sent out two guys To move a 7600 square-foot house about 6 miles away. One guy was completely new and one guy was unable to carry heavy objects my husband had to move many of the things along with them they stacked and laid things in the driveway without proper wrapping and my large pottery barn leather sectional was scratched on every corner, my Ethan Allen table scratched on legs and my high end dresser had huge scratches on the top, as well as furniture left with dirty prints. Another guy was sent out mid move but this never should have happened or been booked with out properly skilled employees. The move took over 11 hours because they were so poor at this. Furious about this we called the owner. Josh, who is a nice guy came over and looked at it apologized and let us know that he had already discounted the moving job because we did not pay for the third guy. That was neither here nor there because the third guy should have always have been sent due to the size of the house and they should have quoted us for that instead of having the first two incompetent guys in charge of the move. I showed him the damage and he gave me a Furniture Repair place to come out. They were able to repair most of it to my satisfaction but my dresser still was terrible. When I asked the Furniture Repair company to contact the mover and get permission to do a refinish job on it they refused and said they had already paid out their maximum. This is not true as some companies have to replace items that are damaged and in this case this dresser is a couple of thousand dollars. He made it about the fact that he was losing money on the job but as I see it as a business owner it is his responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction and that his employees can deliver what he advertises. That did not happen here, and it was totally avoidable in my opinion. I think I was being very reasonable in asking him to pay-the $1000 to refinish the dresser regardless of what the move cost since it happened because of his employees. I would not recommend using this company if you have higher-end-items; should they be damaged there is the strong risk that they will not pay for them. read more

VCM moved us from CA to Boise, ID last November. While waiting for our new home's construction to be completed all of our boxes and furniture were in storage at VCM, in Nampa. Last week, VCM delivered all the items from storage, along with new custom furniture they picked up from CA and moved us into our new home. As always, their moving teams are efficient, careful, personable as well as professional. They unloaded everything, assembled new furniture, and worked very cleanly throughout the day. We were very happy with their work, for both moves. So far since our initial move, we have had three of our family and friends use VCM.
