I needed some help loading a U-Haul van moving a friend to Portland. I Care Movers was recommended. I contacted Chad to schedule the day and time. Chad actually showed up as one of the helpers. Chad and Zach ended up loading the truck and I was their helper! The loading was done professionally and the household items arrived in good condition. Chad moved my mother from Boise to San Diego. We decided to do a "pre move" to get all of the little things down first (vases, silver, fine china, small valuable items) because the house was over 3,000 sf and filled. Chad drove the truck himself and unloaded to my house and my mothers apartment. I was supposed to meet him but my flight was cancelled and I was about 3 hours late. He easily handled getting it unloaded without me there. He even took a video of my mothers apartment with all the items to ease my mind. I checked all the boxes and everything arrived intact and almost every box was filled with breakables. He then did the big move about 4 weeks later and unloaded with 3 other workers. Once again he unloaded to 2 different residences. He is very personable, very flexible and trustworthy. He picked up our dining table from the house after we left Boise and when we thought we had lost my mothers silver (my mother forgot she had hidden it in her new place), Chad's wife (who is great also) went over to my mothers house and looked for it. I would use them again in a heartbeat. BTW I would recommend a pre-move if you have a big house. It is the little things and multiple boxes that drive you nuts. I can't begin to express how flawless and fantastic of a job Chad did getting all of our stuff from Boise to Las Vegas. My wife and I had issues with a U Haul and couldn't get back there to pick it up. Not only did he come off a redeye flight from Portland the night before to get the truck, he got to Vegas 2 hours ahead of time and patiently waited for us to get back from our appointment and got right to work. The price was already great, but upon hearing about some of the adversities my wife and I had to overcome in our journey to our new home and fresh start, Chad and his wife decided that they were going to pay out of their own pocket for 2 extra guys to show up in the morning so my wife could rest and I could look after her. He even insisted on taking us to dinner. Not every day a small business owner and his family see fit to cit into their profits to go above and beyond for their clients . Everything made it to us in perfect shape. The 2 gentlemen he hired from a local Vegas company Chad had collaborated with before were fast, efficient and attentive. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY to move your belongings!!! Chad is a very distrustful person! I had to move first to a storage site in order to have my previous home staged to sale. He was told of my precious pieces of ceramic art that cost me thousands to have commissioned a potter to make. He barely wrapped my huge 26 inch diameter pottery bowl with tiny bubble wrap and then put it on it's side in a box that was crumpled and on the bottom of a large stack of boxes in my storage site!!!! He knew of my situation, that I was building a new home in a different part of the city and that I would not be in it for months! After I sold my home, I had him move just the necessary items to an apartment with the HELP of my boyfriend, and he told me straight up if my boyfriend helped it would save me half. Because he would not need another man!!!! The quote was $150 with the help of my boyfriend, and he refused to accept that!!! He told me I owed him $300 just for an hour's work!!!! He LIED!!!!! So, I decided I would NOT BE HIRING him for my move to my new home, which was happening in 5 months. So, now I am moving into my new home with a different, but AWESOME MOVING COMPANY, namely, Cross Town Movers of Boise, ID. They were very professional and were extremely careful to get my things I needed for now out of a storage site and the things from my apartment. I still have quite a bit of things in a storage site, and have been getting a box or two myself here and there, because I did not have room for everything in my 2 car garage. The boxes that Chad, and his I CARE movers are all that is left in my storage site. This past Saturday, I saw my FRAGILE POTTERY box on the bottom of a very high stack of boxes. My boyfriend helped me get to it. The box was crumpled, and sure enough, my huge pottery bowl was BROKEN in 6 pieces. I immediately texted Chad, and he refuses to cover the expenses that I will have to have it restored! He told me he was bonded and insured, and assured me that everything would be packed so great, there would not be a problem. Another flat out LIE!!!!!!!! I am considering a taking him to small claims court at this time! His BBB rating is a D+, so that should tell all about him as well!!!! He does NOT CARE about your MOVE and your POSSESSIONS, as can attest to! Please Please DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!! I am disappointed I even have to give 1 star!! This company has over-charged me, and Chad said that I would be refunded my money ASAP. That was back on September 23rd. Still, no refund has been seen and no calls have been returned. Not to mention, my calls are no longer acknowledged. This company makes me sick. Take care of your business and refund me what is OWED to me. I am disgusted and will spread the word anywhere I can until my refund is received. read more
