A GREAT place to eat. Multiple food favorites. The Meatloaf is the BEST. The service is AWESOME. The restaurant is warm and inviting and you are always greeted with a smile. I have been going there for years and its the consistency of these observations that keep me coming back. With that said there is one employee that stands out above the rest. Her name is Cloe and she is wonderful. Always attentive to my requests. Proactive by recognizing deficiencies before they happen. I see that she is quick on her feet at making decisions. I also notice Cloe's interactions with other employees and observe leadership qualities that would make her an incredible manager for your company. She is one in a million. read more

Went here with my wife and two grandchildren. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one ever came to wait on us. Only three tables were occupied, the manager was busy giving a sermon to the employees and could have cared less about the customers. We got up and walked out and no one even cared. My wife and I have avoided this restuarant in the past because last time we visited, several years ago, the food was substandard and the service was worse. But we wanted a quick dessert so we stopped in to see what they have. Clearly things have improved. Mabye they're reading the negative Yelp reviews and making the necessary corrections. The gentleman who greeted us was friendly and helpful and showed us the dessert selections. We both ended up ordering the apple pie a la mode and it was great. I was passing through the area and decided to grab breakfast. Valley Dairy was a good choice. I had their biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The price was just a little over $7 and was a good value. The portion size was large and the meal was tasty. I did carry out and found the staff to be friendly and my food was packaged well. Hello first id like to start off by saying i am a door dash delivery driver and normally when i get orders from your restaurant i have ZERO. issues but today was horrible. I came in around 320 and typically when u walk in someone always greats u. Not today. Mark the manager was at the front desk doing something and i walk up and say hello. His response was ill be with u in a few moments. Ok no worries. Mind u there is a bus boy and 2 servers standing there dong nothing. He never asks me what i needed or anything. He assumes im a door dasher but never asks for the customer name im picking up. He goes back asks a server to get the doordash together which she did after she finished her conversation with the bus boy. After 15mins of waiting he comes up front with the door dash and calls my customers name. I go to get the order and its not right. He goes o sorry thats not yours. So i ask him if its ready His response is yea its ready it just needs to be put together. Mind u it was a wrap 2 ice teas and a pint of soup. He then says what do u want from me. Im short staffed. There was only 5 tables in the whole restaurant and atleast 3 tables up front trying to pay. Mark was beyond rude and has no sense of customer service. Our water is very delicious, but I could not understand the person who gave us our water because of his stupid mask, I can't tell if it's a boy or girl. I didn't get anything because I was not hungery but my mom and sister did. My mom said that it was good, she got pancakes and sausage, my sister said it was good, she got waffles. Look - did our meal take 30-minutes tonight? Yes. I guess someone in the kitchen walked out mid-shift. Now our waitress was awesome - and when the food eventually came it was on point and good. I had the Italian Sub with crinkle ships - yum. Wife had pot roast - yum. Son had Cheeseburger club sandwich - he loved it. Gusto fries just means seasoning. Slaw was good but little dry. Had cheese sticks to start - yum. Is the place the fanciest? No. But the food is good in a custard stand restaurant kind of way. I was excited to be in the area just to experience it again. Waited for 15 minutes to get a table, then another 55 minutes for breakfast. I was awarded an extra sausage patty for the delay but my husband didn't get anything cause he already ordered an extra patty. I love this place for breakfast. The staff were always in good moods, smiling laughing. The cooks seem to work really hard getting the food out quickly. The heavy set female manager does have issues. I only have one lung, and she harassed me about not wearing a mask and then told another table I was trying to kill people. Meanwhile I see her outback smoking by Dollar General almost every time I pull into Butler Common's, polluting the air with second hand smoke. Not only that, she got my name off of my credit card and called the land line that my elderly mother uses and crank called a couple of times (too dumb to block her ID). Very immature. Mark, the manager is awesome, he is always polite, professional. I would give this place five stars if it were not for the mentally unhinged female manager. read more

So it's your basic diner fare, burgers, sandwiches, easy entrees, and breakfast items. However, it was all really delicious and didn't leave me queasy afterward. The sweet potato fries were absolute dynamite. Service was extremely fast, and the servers were all really great. We were in and out in half an hour. Prices are insanely reasonable. I guess their ice cream is their big thing, but we were a little pressed for time. However, we were so impressed that we'll definitely be back for it. read more

We come here 1-2 times a week with no issues. The food is great at a reasonable price and the service is exceptional. Amy and Liz are wonderful in every way. Today August 16 was the first time we walked out of any restaurant. We understand that employers are short staffed and people are being over worked. With that said we don't mind waiting for our dinning experience. Today though the only cook working left the kitchen. So the male manager jumped in and started cooking. He then asked a waitress to help him. So Amy stepped up to help. When the cook finally came back and started screaming and throwing a fit for everyone to see and hear. He was screaming get out of my kitchen and using profanity for several min. The male manager never said anything to the cook. He should have been put in his place or fired. I know that the way he talked to Amy and manager if I was her or him I would have had a lot to say. We are sorry to say but never again. Just visited Valley Dairy for the first time in years. now i remember why its been years... I ordered the "haystack" which contained sausage, eggs, hash-browns and gravy over a biscuit. The gravy was cold and congealed. The biscuit was doughy and the hash-browns were "hash-whites" not cooked at all. read more

After a busy day of Christmas shopping with the family we stop in here for dinner. The place was empty we were the only one's in here that because everyone and there mothers were at Walmart. So we got a seat by the window. It was a nice view of the parking lot with the snow falling. It was really nice you really don't say that about a parking lot but it was. The waitress was great. Excellent service. Food was great. I had a burger which was huge and full of flavor, girlfriend had the pot roast Sammie with mashed potatoes and gravy. My daughter had the pot roast with fries and gravy. All left full and happy from a long day of spending money. To top it off they got pie to which they were to full to eat so they took it home. It was reasonable prices to for the 3 of us the bill was under 30 $ . It's nice to know that a place like this that's been around for so many years is still good with a home feel and at a reasonable price. read more
