The country store is my favorite part of cracker barrel there is always something new and cute to look at as well as nostalgic things to view. The food is usually alright. Not too many options for gluten free people but it wasnt bad. I got the egg whites with grits, tomato slices and turkey sausage and my son got the grilled cheese and Mac and cheese kids meal. The kids meal comes with a good bit of food and mine did as well. The prices aren't terrible either. The server was very friendly but it was super slow service. We had to wait awhile to get refills and to get the check. read more

Slamming down all of drinks, mixing up our orders, and having an attitude anytime we asked for anything. Everyone has bad days sometimes but you leave that in the back of house, not at your table. Food was pretty average--nothing standout--but the service from the staff who helped us was great, and the overall ambiance was enjoyable. *** My only real complaint, and the reason we won't be returning, was the response we received when we asked if they offered a veterans discount. The answer we got was: "Are you a rewards member? Then no."*** As a veteran, that response felt surprisingly dismissive. A simple yes, no, or even, "We offer it if you sign up for our rewards program" would have been completely fine. Instead, the tone and wording came off distasteful and left a negative impression on an otherwise decent visit. This review is purely based on taste, as we doordashed the order. I got grilled chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and coleslaw. I also ordered a house salad. The salad was large and had a hard boiled egg, bacon bits, cheese and a slice of cucumber. A little disappointing as it was quite watery. However, it was a large salad for around 6 bucks! I wasn't dining--I was completing a culinary obstacle course. To be fair, the food was cooked well, technically speaking. I think it's less about this particular location and more of a company-wide pact to keep things aggressively flavor-neutral. BUT! The service? Stellar. The ambiance? Pure cozy-country charm. First off I am not a fan of chain style restaurants. With that said, I have eaten at Cracker Barrel before although it has been several years. This particular visit fell well short for me from a service and food perspective. We were a party of 6 and our server was extremely impatient with everyone. She was not pleasant and not helpful with information. We all got the same breakfast meal with different sides and eggs but when the orders came out all the biscuits and gravy as well as the toast slices were stuffed into 2 baskets with no indication of who or how many each. The biscuits were small and the gravy had a floury off putting taste and basically flavorless. The sausage was also had a strange flavor that was not sausage. I do not believe I will visit this location going forward. read more

I ordered the create your own, scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, hash brown casserole and biscuits no gravy. Food seems to be dropping off in quality. Not very good. What happened to this place? Hash brown casserole, one of our traditional favorites, is a pile of what seems to be formerly frozen potatoes with barely any cheese. Their farmers omelette is loaded with practically raw bacon and hardly any ham. In short the people running these places, especially corporate, have never actually eaten the food. What was formerly one of the country's best family chains has gotten worse steadily and IMHO no longer even worth stepping foot in. Especially at an average of $14 a meal. read more

I visited Cracker Barrel with a party of 9 and was told the wait would be approximately 30 minutes. After 40 minutes, we politely asked for an update, and the host responded with "I don't know." With 20 years of front-of-house customer service experience, I can say confidently that this is not an acceptable response to a guest waiting with a large party. A more professional approach would have been: "I'm not sure, but let me find out for you," which shows effort and respect for the guest's time. While we waited, we observed multiple smaller parties of 1-2 people being seated, despite several clearly available tables that could have easily been arranged to seat a group of 9. No attempt was made to problem-solve or communicate options. The lack of communication and initiative from the host made the experience unnecessarily frustrating. A simple update, explanation, or effort to accommodate would have made a big difference. read more

I had the Benny Biscuits with impossible sausage and it was the best breakfast I remember ever having. I'm ready to go back. And I don't remember the store being that nice. The clothes were so cute but too pricey to buy. They were out of the blueberry syrup though and I couldn't even buy some so were hoping it gets restocked and it's not that they're just no longer carrying it. You don't run into these back home in Los Angeles u less away from the city - but feels like my OG home growing up in NJ and later WV and PA. Something comforting about the country store entrance and the friendly wait staff and menu that you know is full of carbs and calories and you just have to pick something!! Everyone is always smiling here and why not - it's happy food and always delicious. This location didn't disappoint either with bottomless coffee and delicious perfect eggs. If you like eating at picnic table in the winter outside then go here. There was absolutely no heat except the mini fire they had going which was no where near us. People freezing with their coats on. We realized it when every waitress had a sweater on. I would not work in those conditions, those jobs can be at better places. The food took forever to come. The broccoli wasn't even cooked. The muffins were half baked and doughy. Out of rice, how does that happen? Dumplings were doughy and not cooked well enough. We won't be back. They directed us to our table and we ordered our food. While we waited we admired the decor on the wall! It was very varied yet related. While I can only speak for myself on the food, I can say my chicken tenders were absolutely perfect! The fries tasted good as well, especially with the ranch. My family also agreed, they really enjoyed their food as well! After the meal we took a Quick Look at the shop. It even had a squishmallow, which we bought. So I had a procedure, couldn't eat the whole day before or that day and couldn't drive that day. I ordered breakfast at 11 am to be delivered by grub hub- order to arrive by 12pm. Grabbed a quick bite with my parents before the headed back home to Tennessee. They love the Cracker Barrel! We were helped by Luis (I think) and he was just the sweetest thing, so kind, and brought us everything we asked for and more. He was quick with the drinks and had a smile on his face the whole time we were there. He said it was his third day, but he was like a PRO! The food there is old reliable. Always good. Stopped by on way back from Niagara Falls. The storefront and restaurant is exactly what you would expect from Cracker Barrel - awesome. The service was fantastic as well. Most of the food was delicious, as most fried foods are, however, the chicken n dumplings was definitely on the soggy side. Unfortunately, when you're on a long drive and make a deliberate detour to get some dumplings and are meet with this sogginess - it kinda dampens the mood . In any case, stop by if you're in the area... just pass on the dumplins. read more

My husband and I arrived for breakfast around 8:30 on a Wednesday morning. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. We had our son with us and the waitress provided at sling of sorts for his car seat to sit in while we ate. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and my husband and I shared the hashbrown casserole. The pancakes were pretty tasty - I did wish the blueberries were spread throughout them a little more versus just in the center but they were still good. The loaded hashbrowns were pretty much a play on loaded fries or tots - smothered in cheese and bacon - who could go wrong! Prices are pretty reasonable for breakfast items on their menu. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. She checked on us regularly, brought our food out shortly after ordering (it was piping hot!) and made sure all of our needs were met! I came to the Cranberry location with my wife for the first time the other week on a Wednesday morning. Growing up I had been to Cracker Barrel on several occasions, mostly coming back from long trips or traveling to different parts of the country and wanting something familiar. Much of the company I had come to Cracker Barrel in the past were grandparents. They liked the simple reasonably priced breakfast items which that generation grew up with. With the preface of nostalgia I enjoyed coming back. The meal was delicious and very reasonable to spend for a breakfast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with bacon on the side and a coffee and my wife had the blueberry pancakes. It wasn't crowded being in the middle of the week. The service was excellent and our waitress was over refilling our waters and coffee and making sure everything was as expected. Overall really cool to be back here. I liked it as a kid and now with having a kid of my own I see how much stuff there is to look at and be entertained by (I also see why my parents liked it for that reason). Cracker Barrel gets a lot of hate for some reason but it's one of my favorite places to get breakfast! They have options that no other diners or chains have. My recent go-to is their breakfast casserole, which is served in a crock with hash brown casserole, bacon, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, cheese and crispy fried onions on top. It's served with two biscuits, which I always have with blackberry jam. I'm sad they got rid of the eggs in a basket, but this new dish makes up for it. read more

Took a friend there today for his first time. We ordered the lunch special, the turkey dinner, the stuffing was so dry and all you could taste was the sage, was not edible everything was fantastic. My son ordered the barrel burger and fries and as usual they were cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding. Everytime our server walk by she refilled out iced tea. Love me some Cracker Barrel! My son and I like to look for them when we travel, and the three that are local to us are all great. This one in Cranberry Twp PA is a great example of their brand. Terrific food, friendly and efficient service, and a very reasonable price for anything. That blackberry tea is delicious! I have a weakness for their green bean side, so I always get that. My son loves the maple bacon chicken. Everything was perfect here...and my son loves looking around for an album or some klitchy thing to buy in the ol' general store area up front. Customers wearing coats to eat. And so very disappointed to get the cheesy hash-browns served Luke warm and potatoes undercooked and hard. Most Cracker Barrels are pretty good. It's that home-cooked food we all crave, but don't have the time or patience to make. LOL This particular location is our favorite spot for breakfast. They always have the best pancakes, the bacon is good and that hash brown casserole is amazing. The best part of this location is the servers. They are always so kind and helpful. We do take-out quite a bit for dinner as well. The dumplings are fantastic and that fried chicken can't be beat. We used to live in South Florida and we haven't had fried chicken as good as this since we used to get it from Publix. We go here about 2 - 3 times a month and I don't see any reason why we'd stop visiting. If you visit for breakfast, do yourself a favor and get the blueberry pancakes! read more

This place is such a joy to stop into! From their old fashioned country store to their large portions, this restaurant is so much fun. We stopped here for breakfast and had $5 meals - I had the biscuits and gravy with smoked sausage and my fiancé enjoyed an egg sandwich on sourdough bread with a hash brown casserole. The egg sandwich had perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs that held yolky centers and had a thick slice of bright and acidic tomato. My biscuits and gravy were fluffy and the smoked sausage was delicious. When served with their cholula hot sauce it cut through the richness and I was able to eat every last bite. Even with the ongoing COVID-19 mess Cracker Barrel did not fail to impress with excellent service and a fantastic meal for our family. They have limited seating and social distancing stickers and guidelines and guidance. There was a little bit of a wait they called her names brought us back. We were able to remove our masks when we sat down. Salt, pepper, condiments available upon Request. We had fantastic service the entire meal. Our food all came out hot and fresh. Everything was delicious and worth every penny. We took a tiny amount of time to look at the store area before we left and headed out. I would definitely recommend going here and being ready for a wait though all the same. read more

We were there on October 21, 2024 at about 7 PM. our server was great. The food was horrible. The chicken was old. The biscuits were old and the sausage wasn't cooked. It was raw meat in the middle and the ham smelt like a sick pig. It was a terrible experience and when I asked to talk to a manager when we were checking out, she never showed up.
