I can't speak to the actual grooming but 0 stars for the owner's attitude. My dog came to get…read moregroomed and I let the receptionist know that he does not do well with other large dogs, that he's not aggressive but overly enthusiastic and it creates tension w other dogs. The staff at the groomer tried to put him in a temporary corral as opposed to a crate. I spoke up that this didn't seem safe for my dog because he could climb over or jump out (he's a large dog) and that I'd prefer him to be crated so he's safe from other dogs. Both the staff and the owner treated me like I was being unreasonable or some kind of jerk for not consenting for him to be kept in such a way. When the customer behind me asked what was taking so long I said I was waiting for them to have a crate for him bc he wouldn't be secure in what they suggested, the owner came out to tell me to stop talking bad about her employees. I'm not really sure if this was an off day for them or something but it was an incredibly negative interpersonal interaction and I won't be going back to this groomer. I also watched 2 dogs escape out the back door (which the owner told my husband I lied about). So: I waited about 7 mins to be checked in, rang the bell and watched utter chaos unfold in the back room. An electrician was working on a ceiling light above a corral w 2 small dogs. The electrician went to leave and the owner tried to move the corral to scoot it over to allow the electrician out the door but the dogs escaped under the corral and ran out the back door. The owner of Valley dog then went out the same back door you can see from their check in screaming for the dogs to get inside. Then several minutes later she finally addressed me waiting. This corral is (per both receptionists) is the same corral they wanted to use for my 100 pound dog. The owner tried to pack peddle and say that no, it wouldn't be the same corral but yes it's the same height and material and weight. Same corral. Overall a very negative experience and a huge waste of time. In addition the woman seemed exceptionally immature and unprofessional and then was talking about me to other customers. Update: the owner just called my husband and told him to take my review down. She also impotently threatened legal action if we refused. To the woman making this threat: feel free to pay your attorney to explain to you what's wrong with your behavior today. Do better. And telling my husband you're so tired of people taking their bad day out on you? No ma'am, honey it's you and your attitude, you're the problem.

Our first incident here was when our dog slipped out of her collar when a staff member was handling her outside of the building. Our dog ran into the busy road and narrowly survived. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake. Last week when we picked our dog up at the end of the day we were informed that she had a gash on her leg and had been limping in the morning. We took our dog to a veterinary urgent care facility and, five hours and 1500 dollars later, we were informed by the vet that she had most likely been bitten due to the nature of the wound and the level of pocketing. Our dog now has stitches, a drain, has to take medication, and has to be monitored in a cone for 10-14 days. The following day I spoke with the owners. I asked why they hadn't called us when our dog was limping in the morning, and why they again failed to inform us that they found a bleeding wound on my dog in the afternoon. The male owner spent the conversation downplaying the event and arguing with me, claiming they had only seen a "little red dot" and that "these things happen when dogs play". He also came up with excuses like, "it's hard to see wounds sometimes because of fur," yet our dog has short white fur. No matter what, the owners/staff should have called us when they noticed that our dog was injured. They refused to help with the vet bill, but did refund our daycare package.
