It is a Seventh Day Adventist school so the Bible is taught and teachers pray before every class. There is a wood shop as well as an auto shop and I believe this year they are offering an intro to welding class. The lab is nice and has a fume hood for experiments in chemistry class. The gym is nice and big and when you are playing on the center court it doesn't feel like you are going to run into the walls like it does at some other gyms. The one slight problem I have with the school is the uniform policy, I understand that the shirts need to be from the supplier but just let them ware a jacket and not have to switch from year to year with new rules and regulations on dress code. In summary I love the school and am glad to be alumni.

This school is horrible! My son who was 7 at the time was repeatedly attacked by 3 older students…read more Started with a slap to the back of the head and gradually moved to two kids holding my son while one would punch him in the stomach, face and kick him in the nuts. Then one day I picked him up and the whole side of his face was swollen as they stomped on his face at recess. No call. No nothing. After an urgent care visit it was found that my son had a concussion and broken ribs. After I made a scene at the school about the incident. The principal Mr Hudek and VP Mrs Connelly then began retaliating against my son. I received 6 calls within 2 weeks from the VP. With stupid things like your son is making fart noises in class. They don't call when your son gets a concussion but if you make fart noises your done. I removed my kids from the district. Since then I have discovered 4 other families that these same boys are attacking. Avoid this whole district if you can!

Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

The registration process was smooth and easy, and I really appreciated all the classes, resources, and support offered to parents. As a first-time homeschool family, I had so many questions, and the one-on-one guidance we received helped us learn the apps, understand the systems, and get both of my boys comfortably settled in. The teachers my sons had in 4th and 5th grade have been absolutely wonderful. They have been supportive, encouraging, and truly made a difference in our experience. I have also been very impressed with the IEP support. The team reached out early, guided us through the process, and has been incredibly helpful throughout. We felt supported from the beginning. One of my favorite things is the transparency and technology. Parents have real-time access to student calendars, assignments, grades, and progress, which makes it so easy to stay involved and support our children. The materials, technology, communication, and overall support have been outstanding. Most importantly, I've seen such a positive change in both of my boys academically. We are truly grateful for Sage Oak and all they have done for our family.

Staff is rude and treat parents as if they are a problem and bother to them. I was snapped at by a staff member when checking on the progress of my student's application. What this school does not understand is that we (as parents) are trying to plan for OUR students education and if our student is not admitted and enrolled then we do not want to wait until the last minute to find options. COMMUNICATION from this school is very, very poor even after they collect all of your personal documents. I am hoping someone in school administration see's this review and addresses the very poor attitude in the Registrar's office
