He answered the questions that I had and let me know that they had just received the truck on trade in and that it was being prepped for display the next day. Jerry was very accommodating when I was inspecting and test driving the truck. It was a no brainer to buy it, but I had an appointment to get to just then. when I bought the car it had the "tire pressure" light on the guy said he was going to fix it, when I picked the car up it still had the light on. He "assured" me it was just the light on and everything has been checked and it just needed re-set so I thought not a problem and went on my way. Well about less than 7 days, the tire pressure sensor went out and you could hear it in the tire loose. I had to pay 80$ to fix it. When I called to see if it was something you guys could do for no cost the guy was very vague. Didn't care. This was my very first car purchase so that was a bummer. I think you guys should have fixed it from the first day so this wouldn't have happened, let alone fix it the less than a week later for no fee. Also I drove over a hour away I was once again "assured" it would be 'filled up' when I came back the next day to pick it up. It wasn't on full. So considering driving that far 2x for the car I think it should have been on full. read more

Poor results from Jim Keim Ford. I contacted your service department on Saturday, July 16. I got an appointment for Saturday, July 23. I went over with the guy on the phone what service items I wanted done. This included changing the serpentine belt. . I took the truck over on Friday the 22nd and left it overnight so they could it all day Saturday. I also asked them to turn off that annoying door chime. When I picked up the truck Saturday afternoon, he informed me that they didn't change the belt because they didn't have one. I didn't take it to a Kia dealer expecting them to have parts for a Ford. You would think a Ford dealer would have the belt for one of the brands best sellers, or call NAPA to deliver one, like I ended up doing. After reviewing the paperwork, I found they did not turn of the doorchime,. The service tech disconnected a power inverter and didn't mention it. I didn't find that out until the next morning. I know you are not responsible for modifications, but at least tell me. On top of all this, the rebates they had promised are no longer available. I am VERY disappointed with the results, and it still cost me $1000.00. Next time, I'll get someone else to do my work. Douglas Moore read more

I've been a long time customer of Keim Ford. Their customer service influenced my last 3 Ford purchases! Now that Roush has taken over, I've seen a change in customer service. My daughters recently had a recall on their Escape and had to return it again for something that wasn't attached properly. They were treated badly and not offered a loaner OR the chance to rent a car on site! No options! Walk in to the service center and three men are typing away at their computers and tell you they will be right with you, you wait for many minutes and you wonder why they don't have time for you when they are answering every phone call coming in and then going back to their computers. You wonder, why can't they talk to you! So, I stood there and called them on my cell phone and they answered, really! I wanted to buy a 2016 Taurus Limited, found a couple there. Windshield stated $8,000.00 off FMCC, but was told by Randy that was for first time buyers or you have to finance with Ford Motor Credit, so I went to Ricart Ford and got my 2016 Taurus Limited, $8,000.00 off and my choice as to who to finance with. read more

My car was in the body shop at Jim Keim Ford on December 5, 2014 to have some minor rust around the right rear wheel well taken care of. The repairs were made and the work looked like it was done in a professional manner. I returned to the dealership's body shop on August 5, 2015 to have the vehicle inspected because the rust was reappearing. I talked with Mike Alvarez, the Collision Center Director. He inspected the vehicle and advised me that the proper way to make the repair would be to cut out the rusted section and replace it with new metal. If the repair was made the way he suggested then the rust would not have come back. I stated that his shop inspected the car, wrote the repair estimate and did the work and I felt that something must be wrong for the repair work to fail so soon. I asked him if he would fix the repair work his shop did and he refused saying it had been eight months since the repairs were made. I told him that had I known his repair work would fail so soon, I would have not had the vehicle repaired at Jim Keim Ford. I am disappointed in Jim Keim Ford and Mr. Alvarez in particular. It was clear to me that he had no intention of honoring their workmanship. He states that if the repairs were made properly, there would be no rust. Yet there is rust. So was the work completed in the manner he suggested? I have no way of knowing. He misses my point, that his shop wrote the estimate and performed the repairs. I would expect that the person that wrote the estimate knew what it would take to make a correct repair. I would expect that whoever actually made the repairs knew that Mr. Alvarez would have the rusted area cut out and replaced. If this was done, then I would not have brought my car back to be repaired again. I saw a sign in the window next to the entrance door to the body shop office that said "Hassle Free Repairs From Shops You Can Trust" The sign was from Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance Companies. It went on to say. "Your repairs at all participating Guaranteed Repair Network facilities nationwide are completed by highly trained technicians and 100% guaranteed by Liberty Mutual or Safeco for as long as you own your vehicle." I guess the insurance companies have faith in Jim Keim Ford. Perhaps, the dealership does a correct repair procedure for the insurance companies but for their long time customers that don't have an insurance claim, then the workmanship is sub par and not guaranteed. I would warn anyone dealing with Jim Keim Ford body shop to be wary of all the signs in the shop office about "guaranteed" repairs. They really mean nothing. Rather then doing the right thing, and fix a poor repair job, Mr. Alvarez would rather talk my ear off about how the repairs should have been made and then blame me for waiting 8 months. My repair turn out not to be guaranteed and my experience with Jim Keim Ford and Mr. Alvarez was definitely not a "Hassle Free Repair". After I got home, I retrieved the paperwork on the repair and discovered that Mr. Alvarez was the person that wrote the repair estimate. I bought my first Ford from Bob Keim Ford on Parsons Avenue in 1974. That car was a 1974 Ford Mustang. My salesman was a gentleman named Jimmy Keim. That was 41 years ago. Sorry to say, but I never see him at his business anymore. read more

The technicians discovered a major problem that was undisclosed to at the time of my purchase. Todd in the service department truly went above and beyond to help me and have me some great advice. I just purchased my vehicle in January had to take it in a few weeks ago because the brakes were making noise the service guy made a few sideways comments to me insinuating I wasn't braking properly or driving my car enough. I assured him I drive it every day. After a few hours he comes back says they fixed it and all should be good. Since then I have the same noise when it is raining and found that when it rains there is a leak in the trunk so made another appointment and took it back in got the same guy and again sideways comments to me. The warranty on my car is supposed to provide a loaner vehicle if my car is in the shop overnight 5 days later he has no loaner vehicle and says he can't duplicate what I am claiming is wrong has not called me once to update me when I called 2 days ago he said I could come get it if I wanted to enjoy it. I said no I want it fixed. This will be the last time I go to this dealership for anything! read more

I researched the new explorer and saw many problems with the sync and mytouch. I asked several times while looking at this vehicle and at the time we sat down to make the purchase about these problems and was assured these issues were no longer a problem. 4 days after we bought it the touch screen freezes, the same problem I was assured was fixed. After calling sync support I was told I need to turn the vehicle off, pull the fuse, put it back in and hope that works, all this in a snow storm a hour away from home. The sync folks also advised me that it is well known at the dealers that there are still problems with the software and the next update is months away and hopefully this update will fix the problems. I took the vehicle to the service dept. because they said there are things they can do to help the problem even though sync said there was not. after talking with the service guy he decided to not do anything and admitted there is not a fix. I asked him to document the problem and he printed a repair history that showed the dealership already noted there was sync problems with this very vehicle I bought. It is very clear the dealer flat out lied to me to make the sale of this explorer which is sad since I told them I would be purchasing another vehicle in about a year. I guess they have their priorities mixed up for a repeat customer. After complaining I was contacted by the sales manager Dino who said what they meant was "the vehicle had all the latest updates when we bought it" It seems they cant stop lying at this dealership because that is not what I asked about and not what I was told several times. 3 days later the sync froze again and then came back on with a rectangle block in the middle of the screen making it virtually unusable. I am dreading my owner experience with this as we keep our vehicles for many years and I'm having this many problems in week one. Also the navigation card that says 2011 is at least two years older than that as it is not updated with businesses and roads built in the last couple of years. read more

I have had experience at Ricart and the so called supervisor that attended us there was so lazy, he woulden't work with us on an offer and pretty much said tough luck, but Jim Keim Ford and his staff made our expereince so much better. They told me to bring it back for more labor cost and they could not tell me how much it would be to really fix it. This review is for the service department only. We have bought two cars here and the sales department was outstanding. The service department has turned into a clown show. I'm not sure if they are so busy, they just don't have time to do work properly, or they are just completely incompetent. I had some work done recently to the transmission of my 2012 Focus. They said my car was fixed, so I took it on a family trip across country. I had problems the entire way. I ended up at another dealer in South Dakota. They said that the work was not done properly and were puzzled as to the low quality and incomplete work that Jim Keim Ford had done. I took it back to Jim Keim when I got home and they said there is nothing wrong with it! My dual clutch assembly is clearly leaking but they won't acknowledge it. My car is under warranty for this issue and they still won't fix it. I'm sure once I'm out of warranty, they will be more than happy to fix it. In taking a broader look at the service department, the guys that work at the counter all clearly hate their jobs and it shows. They generally won't even look up or acknowledge you when you enter. I generally just stand there for some time before somebody finally will look up and say something like, "Yea, what do you need". On a side note: My wife recently took her car here for a quote on a minor oil leak on her 2010 Focus. They quoted her $1,500 to fix it. She took it to Goodyear and they laughed and quoted her $500 for the same work. Take advantage of women much do you, Jim Keim? read more

If I could give them less than one star I would, this was the WORST experience I have EVER had shopping for a car. Their sales people are slimy and the too good to be true prices are exactly that to good to be true, they are best case scenario and only if you meet every qualification for discount possible. BTW, you can't meet all of the requirements because some of them EXCLUDE you from the others. Moreover, they wasted a massive amount of my time. The so called sale representative could not only figure out any type of trade in value for my car he couldn't figure out how to use the printer! It was a slow Saturday so I also had to listen to some old guy"salesman" telling me about his Tae Kwon Do "skills" for an hour and a half. Finally as I'm trying to leave, obviously disgusted by my experience, I get bum rushed out the door with three of these people on my heels with our "sales representative" yelling "at least give me a good reference" in an antagonizing tone. Employees are a direct reflection of the type of business you're dealing with and these people are terrible. There are Ford dealerships all over Mid-Ohio and I'd suggest finding another one, I did and was treated with respect by a sales professional while getting a much better deal. read more
