I recommend using their valet as it saves you ample time. Once inside the staff were extremely helpful telling me exactly where I needed to go and which elevators and turns to make. Visiting my grandmother was easy and extremely pleasant. The new rooms are laid out extremely well as they have bathrooms, ample chairs, and a bench that turns into a bed for overnight guests as well.

People were peeing on the floors accompanied to the bathroom by two people and continuous yelling and screaming from every room people being chained to beds yelling and pleading for help and being told to be be quiet or they will forcibly inject them to sedate them. Staff was rude, arguing with patients. The doctor dismissed all questions and concerns said he was too busy and then the unit refused to call actual treating providers and doctors, or obtain numbers to do so from the locked up phone. The food was constantly cold and disgusting. The stigma was present at all times and lack of care and concern for human decency exists fully here, they strip you and force you to cough just as you would in jail. This is not a place for treatment, it's a prison. it's more traumatizing than actually dealing with how you are feeling with your OWN doctors.

Dr Michael Pitter (RIP) was my Doctor who performed this masterful work. The nursing staff was simply divine with their TLC, compassion and professionalism kindness towards me. I was preparing to have my Mammogram and Ultrasound done. However, I was informed by my scheduler at Columbia Doctors that I needed my images from my last mammogram (2014) with Hackensack University Medical Center. Today, nothing has changed with the remarkable, caring, positive staffers, that give TLC as their standard. A professional body of heartwarming staff at Hackensack University Medical Center. I called and requested my images. They returned the call the next day, and my images and report were ready. I drove to NJ, got my ticket stamped for free parking from the Breast Cancer Screening Center. Dropped off my images to Columbia Doctors on West 51st Street in the heart of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall (so cool). At the end of the movie, it was a joyous experience that made me feel truly gratefully happy and cared for by Hackensack University Medical Center and Columbia Doctors/NY Presbyterian Hospital. The great news is that my Mammogram and Ultrasound was negative. AMEN

I absolutely give 5 stars to the day time nurses I had during my time in 3LW. The night shift I cannot say the same. I felt avoided and ignored entirely at night other than them waking me up for blood work and vitals roughly. For two days I dealt with nonsense and excuses just waiting for an MRI brain scan. Finally one of the APNs was able to escalate my MRI up about 8 hours earlier. I came to Hackensack because they're supposed to have an amazing triage process and broad range of care. I had seen and witnessed so many patients with non emergency issues coming to the hospital and passing me over for things they should be going to an urgent care or their normal PCP for. After 3 days I left with zero diagnosis or information about my condition. A complete waste of my time coming here.

The surgery itself took about an hour and then they monitored him for 3 hours. After that he was ready to go home! Not only was it quick, I feel like there was always a nurse coming in to check in on him or offer us something. I loved when our nurse said it was a super busy Christmas Eve night in the hospital. I barely saw anyone in the halls! Any other hospital I've been to most of the time I'm in the hallway on a stretch because they don't have enough rooms. This place definitely took care of him and made every minute he was there as pleasant as possible. Even though we were only there for a few hours, they offered us plenty of chairs and their nourishing room which had snacks and drinks. I mean really, it doesn't get better. It's way out of the way for me but if you're in this area this is the hospital to go to.

I simply called to verify that the order had been received before making the trip to the laboratory. Instead of receiving a straightforward answer, I was met with a patronizing response: "Listen, I know you work here, but..." Whether I work for the hospital or not is irrelevant. As a patient, I was calling with a legitimate question and expected to be treated with the same courtesy, professionalism, and respect afforded to every other patient. A simple confirmation of whether the order had been received would have been sufficient. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so that future interactions reflect the level of professionalism patients should expect from the laboratory staff. Here we go again and this is the reason why Holy Name Hospital has such a low rating!…read more Back in August 2025 my son responded there after being in a motor vehicle accident and bumping his head just to get checked out to make sure he was fully OK The waiting area for the emergency trauma section was not terribly busy but he had waited nearly an hour to be seen. After being brought into the nurses station area they took his pulse and his blood pressure and were taking his temperature when the nurse walked away and did not come back for over 15 minutes with the thermometer in his mouth. When she did she went to do something else from what he says and didn't respond back to him for nearly 20 minutes at which time he got up and left because in his terms it was unreasonable to be treated in that manner especially after hitting his head and something could've been seriously wrong with him. After a month and a half we received a notice from the hospital billing that they were not paid for a $600 bill so at that time we submitted the bill to our insurance company GEICO and we began to have issues because Holy Name refused to submit the appropriate bill with itemized services so that GEICO could appropriately pay the bill. This went on two more times with the HOSPITAL refusing to submit the proper bill. In early December 2025 for the second time I contacted my auto insurance company GEICO who took holy names phone number in personally contacted them and my adjuster Joelle assured me that the bill would get paid because she had spoken to holy name. Fast-forward to April seventh 2026 and now my son is getting bills from a legal team collections stating that holy name was never paid and they are collecting for them well you have to contacting GEICO they advise me that after two person the person called phone calls the hospital still has not submitted an itemized bill for them to pay otherwise they would've paid it promptly. The insurance company explained to me that many times these bills are created in fraud and need to be verified and sent with the proper treatments with their codes so that the insurance company can pay them and holy name has been refusing so far to comply with the normal standards yet they're doing everything to avoid paying the bill in the appropriate manner meanwhile screwing my sons credit record up.

I brought up that I would like to have a baby and I feel that this location was my reign of luck. Shortly after, I became pregnant. I saw many doctors and each one did not fall short of wonderful. The nurses were also absolutely amazing. Up to the day of having my baby everything was just wonderful. When it was time to be induced, I was met with wonderful ladies in labor and maternity. Toward the end of my visit, I was so sad to go because it felt like it became home for me and the nurses felt as though I had known them for so long. My daughter Alessandra had a rough first week and came back in to be put in the NICU for Jaundice treatment. The entire time, the nurses were very welcoming and supportive. My daughter as I write this is now 3 weeks old and doing absolutely amazing. She excels every single day and is growing beautiful and healthy. I couldn't thank the whole team enough. It actually makes me look forward to hopefully having another child in the future because I definitely will be coming here if I still live in the area! Thank you to the team at NYPH!
