I caught a stray cat in 114 degree heat two days before she gave birth to a litter of six kittens…read more Every shelter is full, and I've been trying to rehome them. Animal control suggested over the phone that I surrender them and let this count against me because catching them means I now legally own them, OR I could leave them somewhere if I feel safe with where they're at because cats in Arizona are considered free roaming animals. Then she said, "I know it sounds terrible." Basically, the only way animal control gets involved is if cats are sick. Otherwise, they're fine to be left in a safe area. I was made to feel like a bad person for not wanting these cats to be harmed, and for not being willing to keep the strays. There's a wait list anyway, but that's no reason to suggest sweeping an issue under the rug just so they don't have to deal with the problem that they consider is my problem. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend this place. I will continue my search to rehome these animals that deserve better than abandonment in the desert.

I was ready to welcome another dog into my home so inquired. The staff was so friendly and responsive. I went down to meet Daffy and took him home. The meet and greet went very well. They offered to foster first to make sure everything worked out, they gave me a kennel and his pills. They sent more pills to my home once he got settled in so we can ween him off them. They checked in to make sure everything was good. This place is great. I wish I could take more dogs. Next time I'm ready I will be sure to visit!

The best part is they informed us how their rescue works and assured us that they are there for us 100% through the whole process. Even after adopting your new pup. I love how super quick they are to responding to messages, emails, phone calls. They really want to find their puppies and dogs, a forever Home. We are happy with our new Pup Tank and we renamed him Milo. Thank you Follow Your Heart Rescue for allowing us to believe in 2nd chances and helping us find our new fur family member! He is so loved! The event was a bit chaotic in knowing how to fill out what to get to meet a dog but it all worked out. We were shocked novody else was interested in this sweet boy and his foster eas very kind and informative to help us make sure he was a good fit for our home. They were also very patient with us running around to grab supplies. While the adoption fee is a bit higher than some rescues there is a tax break and it's nice that majority if the shots were paid and planned along with the neutering. Andy came home healthy with us and immediately took to his big sister who he loves so much. It was nice that he had spent time with his siblings so he was used to having another dog around and is just a great pup for our family! Can't imagine not having adopted him the day we met him.

This rescue is phenomenal!…read more Last week, I adopted my second dog from here. I met with Chris who really took the time to get to know me and talk about the dog I was going to see before bringing him out. I really like how you can meet the dog in a calm environment (out in front of their house under the shade). This rescue is run by a family of four very committed people. They keep the dogs in a home on a large lot; the dogs are not kenneled. The animals are really in a "home" like environment until they find their forever families. They like to keep in touch with adopters, which is awesome and really shows that they care about placing dogs in the perfect home. I would definitely recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt a dog!

My little guy was scheduled to be killed because he was so scared. HOME took him in, cleaned him up and took care of him until I met him a month later. I went to an adoption day to look for another dog and saw my future babe in a corner licking his cage. It was love at first sight. He was the missing piece to our family. I can tell he was house trained by HOME and also treated very well. They made sure to interview us and make sure we kept in touch with them to let them know how it worked out. He has no behavioral issues, no health issues and they transferred his registration and microchip into my name after a month. They make sure their dogs don't end up on the street again. This organization also provides extensive medical care for injured dogs out of pocket. I always donate whenever I can. I will never forget the immense gift they gave me just by saving the life of a dog I would come to love more than anything. I would highly recommend this rescue!

There was a dog we were interested in adoption and they never follow through three applications were put in one by myself when my husband and another one my daughter-in-law did and none of us receive any contact from these organizations. It is a shame we wanted to adopt from a rescue or a shelter however, they don't care to have these pets adopted? After waiting calling texting emailing and no one returned your call or an email or a text. I went ahead and purchased. Two puppies from breeders. It is a shame that these organizations say they want to place into a good Home however, never bothered to follow up.

Why? Because our rescue is a network of homes throughout our communities that step up and answer the call to end the animal welfare crisis. Our volunteers, when funded well, remove at-risk dogs straight from the streets and place them directly in to their forever homes within our Volunteer Sanctuary Pool Alliance, and not a temporary overcrowded and poorly funded shelter. This membership, (The VSPA) is one that anybody can join for free. All adoptions are free. And we raise funds to support our members. It's that simple. The animal welfare crisis can not be handled by one single shelter or charity. The crisis is a community problem. And community problems must come with community solutions. So join our alliance and make a difference. Even if you are not wanting to adopt or foster, the more our alliance grows, the louder our voice is. And right now, dogs at risk across our country need our voices to be as loud as possible. Visit us now. Become informed. Stay engaged. Volunteer. Adopt. Foster. Support. Act today to save a life tomorrow and be a hero forever!
