One of them recently sought to purchase a new controller for his Switch platform, and he accidentally purchased the wrong one. He literally pulled it out of the box, noticed it was the wrong one and immediately put it back without so much as removing the protective plastic. We live 42 miles away, so we were unable to immediately return to try to correct his mistake. Four days later when we were able to return the counter person took one look at it and refused to refund his money, allow him to use the purchase price to obtain products he did want, or even allow him to take the loss and sell it back as pre-owned. Her rationale? That little cardboard tab that locks the lid of the box in place had gotten ripped off when he opened the controller. This is a real hardship for this person as his access to that kind of money (the controller he purchased was $79.99+ taxes+ $25.99 he paid for the warranty package) is severely limited and there is no telling how long it will be before he has that kind of money again. Such blatant disregard for a developmentally disabled person's inability to reliably find and purchase what they are looking for, coupled with the fact that he now has an expensive controller he was forced to keep as a result of this deplorable action illustrates just how disconnected Gamestop is from the real world, and perhaps it would be best if they ceased to exist.

I proceeded to their website which seemed legitimate and ordered the movie. Funds were taken from my account almost immediately. Though all I got when I ordered the movie was a screen showing I paid for the movie. I did a screenshot of the receipt as a back-up. Several days later I hadn't heard anything about the status of my order. When I went back to their website I then found no way to track or even confirm my order. So I called the store which promptly told me they had nothing to do with online orders and I would have to call corporate, however they had no number to give me. I now had to google corporate to locate a phone number which was answered by a machine telling me I had reached their "Warehouse/Online" number. I was instructed to leave a message and my call would be returned. There was no indication of when it would be returned. 3 days now passed and I came to learn another number. That number connected me to another number for employee/HR issues. This number was also answered by another automated system. It too said to leave a message and my call would be returned as soon as possible. I made 2 additional calls to each number and none of my calls have been returned. So now in reading reviews I find this company is listed as multiple companies all of which have countless complaints for selling defective items, to ignoring its customers and on and on. Finally the receipt that appeared on the screen was only a 5 digit number. That tells me that they could only have had up to 99,999 sales since 2014. There is NOTHING about this Company which screams nothing but shady. I could care less about $11.00 but live by principle. So hopefully this will serve as a message to all other consumers to avoid and or perhaps even put this Company and companies like it out of business. Thank You for reading.

He will even special order something if they don't have it in stock. The store is very clean and well laid out. They always have new stuff, too!!!
